Spirit of Christmas in Maine

There is no better time than Christmas time, and no better place to experience it than in Maine. Not only that but it is even better when you have your best girls with you, the people who know you the best, make you laugh, and always make every moment better.

So I’ll keep it short since it is picture heavy. Anything you want more info on let me know.

I Did

My wonderful friend Lynn drove up to Maine, with a stop at When Pigs Fly in Kittery Maine for lunch. We shared a pizza, some roasted brussel sprouts in a ginger and sesame sauce, and chorizo in a cream sauce. Amazing.

Christmas-By-The-Sea
We stopped at a few places along the way, then got to the hotel to unpack before the parade.

After the parade we did a little more shopping throughout the town and then went on a horse drawn carriage ride. We have a tradition of going to Applebee’s for dinner. We get a bunch of half priced appetizers and drinks and just laugh all night.

Saturday lends to a lot of shopping. Between the craft fair at the high school, the town of Rockland, Rockport and Camden we get a lot done. We stopped at the Waterfront restaurant for lunch where we could see Santa coming in on the tugboat.

Dinner was at a pub called Water Works. It wasn’t as good as last year but still decent. Our hotel is right on the water so we wake to amazing views. Sunday we stopped at the Three Dog Cafe for breakfast. All the decor is dog themed and the food is amazing. So fresh.

Christmas-By-The-Sea-5
We stopped back at When Pigs Fly for lunch on the way home. We had no idea the desserts were so big!! I had the cheesecake, so good. I was so full though I didn’t even bother having dinner.

family
The best part of the trip was just being with my family. They have always been there for me, they know my flaws and love me anyways. We can always make each other laugh and I cherish that so very much. The weekend was way too short but we had a blast!

Seamus Sightings

It was amazing to see Seamus again, i sure did miss that face.

  14. Well, we’ve never been to Maine, but I would agree that New England is the best place to be for the holidays. We’ve got pine trees and snow and tons of places for outdoor iceskating and skiing
