Can you believe we are in the week of Christmas? This year has just flown by. This weekend started to feel like Winter, very windy and chilly. It was a good weekend to stay indoors. I most likely won’t post again this year except to post my favorite books of the year with Steph and Jana on the 29th, so be sure and enjoy the holidays with your families. I’ll still be posting on Instagram so be sure and follow over there.
Saturday started off really well, I treated myself to a 60 minute massage. The stress of the last few months, really did a number on my body, she worked mostly on my shoulders and she told me how tight and knotted it was so I booked more appointments. It is so important to take care of yourself, even though it is hard to sometimes.
After the massage I was so relaxed but I wanted to finish up some small gifts I needed to get.
While I did manage to finish my shopping, I struggled to manage not to buy some stuff for myself. The wrap/poncho will come in handy now that it is colder here. I also got a nice crossbody bag.
Sunday afternoon I did a ton of food prep. Some spaghetti squash, taco meat, steak, and a zucchini onion and ground chicken with some tomato sauce mixture. I am ready for the week. Not shown: cut up some cantaloupe and some mashed sweet potatoes.
The biggest and hardest news from the weekend deals with Seamus. Saturday night he came in from the backyard and he was grumbling and rubbing his bum on the carpet. When I picked him up I noticed a great deal of blood from his crotch. I rushed out to the emergency vet hospital at just after 9pm. We left shortly after midnight and the diagnosis was an infection from a trauma (from a scratch or rubbing) or a tumor/cancer.
They sent me home with antibiotics and pain meds. I need to get him an appointment with my normal vet today for blood tests and an ultrasound to check the tumor and determine if it’s cancer. Since they couldn’t stop the bleeding because of the location I had to run out for some diapers/weiner wraps. It really helped since it kept it secure and seemed to be more comfortable for him.
I have a tentative appt with a surgeon in case the tumor needs to be removed and biopsied, I am hoping it won’t get to that point.
Please keep him in your thoughts and hope for the best. Needless to say I have been a blubbery mess and I just want my little muffin to be okay. Even with everything he has been through he still kept his smile. A lesson we could all learn and remember.
How was your weekend?
Linking up with Biana from B Loved Boston.

I’m so sorry to hear about Seamus…poor pup I can only imagine how hard it is on you and him right now! The massage sounded heavenly – I definitely need one! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas with your family! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston
Thank you, it is so hard to see him moan and struggle, I am hoping the vet has better news today. The massage was so good, though my muscles were so knotted she dug deep. Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

oh no! Seamus. Fingers and toes crossed, thinking of you both. Hope everything is okay.
Thanks. I keep trying to find the perfect bag but I do love a big bag. Spaghetti squash is so good, and much healthier too. It is not looking good so please keep him in your thoughts.

seamus is so cute! and don’t worry. my pup had a tumor he had to get biopsied and everything turned out fine. sometimes dogs just get bumps out of no where when they get older.

if you get the chance i’d love for you to check out my blog! have a merry Christmas! 🙂
Thank you. I am hopefully that it will be something minor. This time of year is always stressful it’s nice to just take some time out for yourself.

I should start doing food preps. Maybe I’d be less stressed.
Thank you. Food prep makes the weeks easier, just heat and eat.
Awe, poor little guy!!! Nothing is worse than when our little furry ones aren’t doing well. They cant tell us what is going on or what they feel 🙁 I am sending you guys hugs and all the good vibes and hope it is nothing serious. Enjoy your time off.
When he was whimpering and crying it broke my heart. I so wish they could talk. It was not much of a vacation but I am glad I had time off to be able to take him to all the appointments.
Omg. Poor, sweet Seamus. I’ll keep him in my thoughts and prayers!!! He’s so lucky he has your love!
Thank you. He is making a full recovery. I am so lucky to have him.
Omg I’m sorry to hear about your baby. I hate seeing any dog sick because they are just the sweetest things. Even in your pics, Seamus looks so chipper and happy. I will definitely be keeping you and especially him in my Christmas prayers.
Thank you so much. It has not been easy but he is finally recovering and feeling much better.

Oh my gosh… my jaw dropped & I sat reading holding my breath.
Lifting up prayers for Seamus that everything is OK & works out. That is so scary to get these big diagnosis for your fur babies… hoepfully they wont make you wait long for what is wrong & a plan of action.
We’re all sending you & your baby hugs!
Thank you, it has been a long journey and the prayers were much needed and appreciated. He is recovering so well.

Poor Seamus… although he’s freaking adorable in the cone/diaper, lol 🙂
Thank you. I already need another massage. He does look cute no matter what, still all smiles.
AWWW poor little furbaby Seamus!!!! I’m sending many hugs your way and praying that he’ll be up and hopping around in no time! I remember when Luigi had kidney stones and needed surgery I was a fricken MESS. I hope he gets better soon!
