About Me

My name is Kerry and I consider myself to be a pretty happy upbeat person who is on the optimistic side of life. Yes sometimes to the point where you may want to slap me, but hey better than being miserable. Bummer! (I do have my rough days too, I’m human) I can be quite sarcastic too, so hope you don’t get offended easily!

I have completed seven triathlons and now I am training for a half-marathon. Not sure what I got myself into as it was my least favorite of the triathlon events. Oops! Too late. (I am not a morning person so don’t make fun of the hair and no makeup) 🙂

I may not have a family of my own yet but my family and friends mean the world to me. My nieces are just the cutest so I try to see them as much as I can.

My two BFF’s I have known since I was 2 years old. They lived one door down and I showed up at the end of their driveway and that was all she wrote. They are my second family and I love them dearly. We do a girls weekend every year and it tends to be the best weekend of the year!

 

I love all things crafty (knit and sewing mostly), I love to decorate my home, love to bake for others, I am a fitness freak so I tend to bring in the baked goods to my co-workers (they either love me or hate me for that one), and I am seriously addicted to Pinterest. It gives me a reason to feed the fire of all things crafty. I have recreated a few of the items and love to share the good, the bad, and the ugly.

I am a huge lover of animals. I got my pup Seamus at the animal shelter where I volunteered at for two years. Click here for his adoption story and some homemade puppy treats. I even bought a house so he would have a place to live, drastic I know but so very worth it. He was the one no-one wanted. Devil may care attitude with a heart of gold, needless to say we bonded instantly. See why I am so smitten with him?!

 

Some other fun facts:

~ I went to college at The Ohio State University and love watching the Football team!! Go Buckeyes!!

~ I am addicted to Diet Coke but I limit myself to one 20 oz bottle a day. (I need to get rid of it eventually)

~ My favorite color is yellow.

~ I am a Virgo and fit the characteristics of one to a T.

~ I own my Townhouse and been here for 3 years.

~ I live and grew up on the South Shore in Massachusetts.

~ I am addicted to hair products and will always wear my hair long (I cut 8-10 inches off twice in my life and hated it each time)

~ I am a really shy person around new people and big crowds but once you know me I can be really loud and outgoing.

I started this blog in January of 2013 as a way to push myself out of my comfort zone. It also is a way to document all the recipes and DIY projects that I have completed. It has turned into so much more. I am so thankful for all the friends I have met and all the friends I have yet to meet. Hopefully you get a few chuckles out of what I have to say and maybe share a few stories as well.
