My Aunt and Uncle gave me a bunch of wine a few Christmases ago, I used some of it to make some Gluhwein or Mulled Wine and I still have a few bottles left. I don’t really drink that often, I know how is it still left?! It had been a rough week last week and I thought that Sangria was a great way to relax and also use up some of that wine. What I love about Sangria is you really just pour it all together and just let it sit in the fridge and get better. I am also more of a white wine person but with Sangria it makes me like red.
OPTIONAL: Sugar or sugar subtitute – Depending on the quality of wine you may need to add sugar, add 1/3 cup at a time to taste. I ended up using a cup of Truvia for the whole batch.
Directions: Add all the ingredients to a large container leaving out the Sprite or 7 UP. Once you are ready to serve fill a glass halfway, then add the Sprite/7 UP to taste.
Enjoy, in your freshly raked lawn with a good book, or doing whatever else. 😉
- 1.5 Liters of Red Wine ~ 750ml of White Wine ~ 1 cup of Smirnoff Orange Vodka ~ 1 cup of Apple Juice ~ Fruit of Choice: I used 1 cup of frozen Strawberries ~ 1 cup of frozen Peaches ~ 1 cup of frozen cherries ~ Sprite or 7 UP
- OPTIONAL: Sugar or sugar subtitute - Depending on the quality of wine you may need to add sugar, add ⅓ cup at a time to taste. I ended up using a cup of Truvia for the whole batch.
- Add all the ingredients to a large container leaving out the Sprite or 7 UP. Once you are ready to serve fill a glass halfway, then add the Sprite/7 UP to taste.

Kerry says
My grass is not really grass it’s all brown and moldy but I did rake it at least. Every day of the week is an excuse for Sangria!! 😉
Linda Sheridan says
That looks good. I just started using Truvia after years of sweet n low!
Our local winery has a superb red sangria that does not even need fruit. It is very full-bodied. I often add
frozen berries to my white wines. Sometimes I drink too much wine!!!
Enjoy your day!
Love, SMD’s Momma
Kerry says
Truvia is so much better for you. Haha! You can never drink too much wine. Okay maybe you can, but still a nice alternative.

So i’m not the biggest drinker around. I love my margarita’s with my chips and salsa, my bitch beer on hot summer nights & perhaps the occasional long island iced teas that get me into trouble. Mostly though, i’m much happier with an ice cold Dr. Pepper. But when you CAN’T have alcohol, all you do is craaaave it! And this drink is making my mouth water. I hate you.
Kerry says
haha! but I love you! 😉 Soon enough girly! It is such a nice light drink but packs a punch.
Marie says
This looks so good!! I could go for some right now.
