To be honest this recipe came out of nowhere. I knew I wanted to make a recipe using peaches. They just looked so good at the store so I had to pick them up. I was originally going to make a peach tart, or a peach pie but I after the overcast reading weekend I just wasn’t feeling like baking anything.
Then when I was on the treadmill I was dreaming of what I was going to have post-workout, because duh that is really why we workout. For the post-workout food. I figured a protein shake would be the fastest way to get some nutrition, and it would not require me to turn on the oven. Win – win!
This was so light and refreshing, and I used sugar free versions of the orange juice and lemonade to save on the sugar content. Great way to get some protein in, while disguising it with a bit of fruity goodness.
Ingredients: 1/2 cup 0% Greek Yogurt ~ 1 Cup of Orange Juice ~ 1 Cup of Lemonade ~ 1 medium/large Peach
Directions: Place all ingredients into a blender and blend, blend, blend. Pour and enjoy! So simple you have no excuse not to make this one.

Looks Delish. Love fresh peaches !
Keeping calories low with sugar free is good!
I am literally sweet and low(5’2″) and use that
All the time even though it is not supposed
To be good for you.
Carpe diem!!
Love, SMD’s momma

It is such a great flavor. Haha!! You are sweet and low. 😉 I did make the switch to Stevia/Truvia since it is supposed to be better for you but sugar free is better than the alternative.

Thank you. Random ideas just pop in my head, or I find one ingredient in the grocery store that I just want to use and build from there.

I drink shakes in the morning and at night and When I first looked at the pic I thought bummer it has milk so I cant make it but then I realized you use yogurt! So much win for this recipe!
Kerry says
Yeah!! Glad to hear it. I don’t drink milk either so I never use it. I only keep almond milk in the house. Yogurt tends to be the base for most smoothies for me. Hope you give it a try!

This sounds nummy… I love peaches. I still think you should make a pie. But let me test it before you put the recipe out there. ;P
Kerry says
It was so yummy. I might just make another. Pie is totally on the menu, not sure if it would ship well though. I’ll eat a slice for you! ;p

That looks delish! I tend to stay away from peaches because I’m lazy and hate peeling them. Every year my mom would get fresh peaches and we would peel them and freeze for the winter. Now I just walk around the farmer’s market and eat their free peach samples.
Kerry says
Thank you. Ummm yeah I didn’t peel them since I was blending it up. 🙂 Good idea to blend and freeze though.

This sounds delicious and like the perfect treat to have after working out! Also, the term fuzzy naval has always tickled my funny bone for some reason.
Kerry says
It was so yummy. Haha! It does have a funny name, but it doesn’t taste like a navel! 😉
