I bought some Naan Flatbread a few weeks back and I have been trying to come up with something different to put on it. I originally tried a pizza with mozzarella and fresh peaches but it was a total fail. Then I thought of my favorite food, a taco and this pizza was born.
I tried to make it healthier-ish by using 93% lean ground beef and greek yogurt in place of sour cream but the bread kinda gives it away. I was a little worried about the lettuce but it really added a nice crunch and flavor.
Directions: Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees. In a Saute pan cook your ground beef until browned and then add the taco seasoning according to the package.
Spoon the tomato sauce in the middle of the flatbread and spoon outward leaving a 1/2 inch from the edge.
Sprinkle on the lettuce and spice with garlic powder.
Place the diced tomato on top and place in the oven.
What do you like on your pizza?
- ½ cup taco seasoned beef ~ ⅓ cup sauce ~ ½ cup taco shredded cheese ~ ⅓ cup shredded lettuce ~ garlic powder ~ ¼ cup diced tomato ~ 1 NAAN Flatbread ~ Greek yogurt or sour cream ~ 1 pound ground beef ~ Taco Seasoning packet
- Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees. Cook your ground beef until browned and then add the taco seasoning according to the package.
- Spoon the tomato sauce in the middle of the flatbread and spoon outward leaving a ½ inch from the edge. Sprinkle on the lettuce and spice with garlic powder. Top with the beef and spread the cheese on top being sure to cover the beef. Place the diced tomato on top and place in the oven. Cook for 12-15 minutes depending on your level of crispness. Allow to cool for one minute and then dallop on the greek yogurt/sour cream.
