I don’t know what it was about this weekend but I had a feeling of peace come over me. It wasn’t that I pulled everything out of my office and organized it because that didn’t happen, or that I did even anything of grand meaning. It could have been that I have about a month of weekends free of schedules, or that I just got a lot done without running around too much. Having down time while still being productive is a good feeling.
So what did I do with my time?
Sunday: I read a short Novella that I won through Heather which was new one from Jamie McGuire of the Walking Disaster series. It is called Happenstance and I started and finished it on Sunday morning.
Weston the star jock decides to break his silence and stand up for Erin, and spending time with her gives him the courage to face his future. The fate of one night turns Erin’s life upside down. We only scratch the surface as to just how much will change but I look forward to reading the rest of her journey.
I then worked on some yard work including taking apart an old grill so I could toss it, put down some soil, mow the lawn, and pick up some leaves, setup my water hose and auto sprinkler. I had to spray a Wasp nest too. I got it all done before 10:30am too!! Talk about feeling accomplished. While I was out there I noticed a bird’s nest in another one of my front bushes. This is the second one. It doesn’t have a red beak so I think this is a new one. I haven’t seen the other bird but the tree sort of lost it’s leaves so it may have moved.
After some more cleaning I relaxed and caught up on my DVR queue and relaxed.
I can’t believe I did so much and I caught up on a lot of house chores and yard chores, that I actually got the chance to feel bored. That hasn’t happened in a really long time. Yes, I still have a lot I can do in and out of my house but I have time to do it in the coming weekends.

i got sick out of NOWHERE over the weekend. usually i can tell it’s coming, but i woke up sick. i had tons of blog stuff to do, so i made myself get through it (future sponsored posts that were on a deadline). i’ve been feeling better since my fever went down.
i just want to give seamus all the snuggles! my sis has a pom, who is CRAZY!
Ugh that stinks! Glad the fever went down though! Trust me Seamus is CRAZY too he is just really photogenic! 😉 He has weird stranger issues but once he knows you he loves you.
our weekend is still going on – it’s a holiday for us today 🙂 we’re heading out to the amusement park for some fun and rides followed by bbq afterwards. today is supposed to be the nicest day of the weekend because it’s been shit and rainy and windy 🙁

Woohoo! Sounds like a blast! Hopefully it stops raining though so you can ride all the rides!

Is it weird to be jealous of all your Target bags? I got a new rug this weekend too and Bauer went crazy for it! I wonder why? So weird! Glad you rested – you deserved it!
Haha! It was mostly towels since it was one to a bag. So weird how much they like rugs since he doesn’t act that way to the regular carpet. Thanks, girl!

Isn’t it the best feeling! It was much needed but it was nice to just get out and shop a little bit. Plus new workout sneakers was much needed.
i wish i had a yard to do yard work! i had a garden on my balcony last summer but all my plants died this winter 🙁 took a lovely walk in the park instead!
Trust me it gets old fast! Haha! I good container plant is more my speed. So much work! A walk sounds perfect, especially if the weather held up!
I had a Target haul this weekend too. It felt so good to buy stuff. I literally didn’t need anything I bought but I needed to go shopping. lol.
Sometimes you just need to shop!! haha!

It was perfect!! Feel accomplished but a lot of down time to just veg out! It was good, short but it got me excited to read the rest of it.
I love weekends like that with balance. Also, I have a very similar dog mug! Mine is purple and says “Dog Mom”, but everything else is the same 🙂
I really is nice not to run around the whole time. I love down time. It is the cutest mug and we totally deserve it!

I would, it is part of a series so just know it isn’t “finished” but the main character is a fighter which I really liked about her. It is high school seniors which i am usually not a fan of, but it didn’t read too young. So yes, overall would recommend.
Productive weekends are the best – sometimes I swear a right a list down just so I can check things off!! Loving all the target bags!!! Happy Monday!

It did! It was so easy to spend but I luckily only got what I needed. I can’t believe that like never happens! Though mine is always so busy on the weekends I tend to want to get out faster than staying. It’s a mob scene.

Haha I know! I don’t get up early…Seamus WAKES me up at 5:30 or if I am lucky 6:30am. I usually can’t fall back asleep either.

Haha! This was super lazy for me. Basically getting to sit and not have to do anything for a few hours is huge for me.
hahaha aw wet seamus is too cute. hawkeye won’t get wet. she hides under the bench at the park until i get out an umbrella for her.
He hates it but he loves being outside more. Awww poor Hawkeye. It is hard because their fur isn’t great when wet either.
I don’t have much yard work since I live at home still, yay! I get to gallop off to exotic places or staycations instead which is what I did today! I loved your review for Happenstance, I totally agree. I really think we’ll get so much more with the other two books! Glad you got a lot done this weekend, I too got caught up on my recorded shows.

I’m going to say your feeling of peace came from lack of plans, it looks like you just kind of went with the weekend flow and enjoyed yourself!
Yes, exactly! I so much prefer no schedules. Being able to flow and do things at your own pace really makes me get more things done too!

It’s funny because March and April are the busiest time of the year for me so now I am in that phase where I don’t have plans and I LOVE IT! I have so much catching up to do on my house and cleaning.
