Well another Monday is here. Between March and April I have 5 physical birthdays and 4 virtual birthdays and this weekend was at a children’s playhouse. Let me just say you parents are saints. That place was total sensory overload. They had a blast though so that is all that matters.

I restocked my bar with wine since I was out. I really don’t drink that often. I swear! ha!
Saturday was a productive morning, I had dishes done, laundry and took out all the trash all before 11 am.
I finished two books. The Denim Blue Sea and All The Bright Places. All The Bright Places was so good, I cried through the last 100 pages. So many feelings. I loved The Denim Blue Sea as well and I will be talking more about that one on Wednesday.
Gabby turned 6 and she was a princess. They got to swing till their hearts content on the rope swing, the bouncy houses, and the huge obstacle course slides. Our group did so well and were so well behaved. They looked like they had a blast too.

Sunday I had big plans to go hiking after grocery shopping, but then I got really sick. I am not sure if it was something I ate or just a stomach bug but I started to feel better around 9:30 pm.
Since I didn’t want to go far from the house, I worked on some food prep (paleo chocolate chip banana bread and paleo meatloaf – similar recipe), and started a new book.

How was your weekend?
Linking up with Biana from B Loved Boston.
Boo! Hope you’re feeling better. Those sandals are so cute! Now if only Mother Nature would cooperate. 🙂 Rest and hydrate. Have a good day .
Thanks feeling much better! They were so affordable too. Hopefully the rest of the sow melts this week.
hope you’re feeling ok now! i managed to get my paleo muffins perfect but can’t seem to land the banana bread….do you use coconut flour?
Yes it a mix of coconut flour and almond flour. Click on the link it takes you to the pin and I added my notes to what I changed and added. The shredded coconut really keeps it soft and melt in your mouth delicious!
i am so glad you’re feeling better!! i bet you are worn out from those parties! i know i would be. i had my 2 nieces and 2 nephews for a few hours the other day and i was worn slap out.
It is exhausting, I forget how much energy they can have and how little energy I have in comparison! Haha!
So glad the bug didn’t keep you under the weather for long! Those sandals are super cute! Checking out All the Bright Places, but I’ll need you to spoil it for me…is it an HEA?
It is not a HEA, think fault in our stars. Very changed and changed by each other but very real and chilling.
Oh no – I’m sorry to hear you were sick on Sunday…that stinks!! I made banana bread last night as well…yours looks really yummy!! And Relax Riesling is my absolute favorite!! Hope you have a great Monday! xo, Biana
It was rough but luckily it didn’t last too long! Banana bread is one of my favorites, and it’s Paleo so it’s guilt free. It is one of my favorites, so light and not a huge after taste.
Sorry to hear that you weren’t feeling well. That is terrible. Hope you are feeling better. Ok, where was Princess’s party, I totally need to go there. haha. I’m such a kid. I really want to hear about this banana bread (paleo).
Thank you, much better. It was in Stoughton but it was a zoo!!! Kids running and screaming everywhere! Not something I am used to for sure. The link should take you to the recipe. So good.
I picked up and finished Station 11 on Saturday!
I love your knew running/hiking tennis shoes. Seamus steals the show as usual though. 🙂
Station 11? Is it any good? I am so excited to break them in, I have been slacking this Winter. Doesn’t he, that face kills me every time.
So sorry you weren’t feeling well! Glad you are feeling better though. Try to rest up!
Thank you. I am trying to take it easy but feeling much better too.
Glad you rebounded late last night. It is easy to go through wine! We took dinner over to Steph and Mike Doyle on Friday night. I made bang bang shrimp pasta, a Greek-like salad, bought french bread batons, and made chocolate chip cookies for their road trip to Niagara Falls, It was nice to have one-on-one time with them, since usually the whole gang is around. Saturday, I was the DD for Rich at a microbrewery that was close-by . Then Kate and family stopped over after a birthday party that was close to us and Riley and Colin stayed over! Sunday, we went to Swarthmore to see our niece in a play. A very nice weekend. Oh, and we watched our Villanova basketball team win the BiG East. Sean is good friends with Ryan Arcidiacona, the Big East co-player of the year, so we were thrilled for them.
Enjoy your week!!
Love, SMD’s MOmma
Sounds like you have a very full and happy weekend. I am sure Steph and Mike were happy to have you send them off, especially with so many goodies. Congrats to Villanova for pulling out the win!
New shoes are always a plus in weekend plans 😉 Sorry you got so sick! I hope you are feeling much better today!
They always give me an extra kick to workout! Thank you, I am feeling much better, friend!
oh my goodness, hope you are feeling better now! i have heard such good things about all the bright places, it’s on my list!
It is such a good book. It is in line with The Fault In Our Stars but I did like the characters a little better in this one.
I had a great wine recently – Minage et Trois MIDNIGHT.
Super good! Just saying.
Oh Seamus – he has such a muppet face!
I don’t think I have seen that one, will have to check it out if I can find it. Isn’t he just the cutest?! I am a little biased though.
That stinks that you are not feeling good! I hope you are doing much better today!!! We are making meatloaf this week too, we haven’t had it in forever. All the Bright Places is on my to read list, glad to hear it was good! Love the new shoes and the pictures of Seamus as always! Have a great week.
I am much better today. Thanks! Meatloaf is so good, especially when it’s made with veggies in place of breadcrumbs. Such a good book, but full of tears!
Sounds like a good weekend- aside from the getting sick bit! Love both of your new shoes and I’ve seen All The Bright Places pop up quite a bit but haven’t heard too much about it until now.
It was an overall good weekend. It is such a good book, and it brings awareness to some things not normally discussed. New shoes are needed to help bring in Spring! 🙂
I can definitely come over to help you enjoy some of that wine 😉
You are always welcome! 😉
Seamus makes me smile!
Hope you feel better soon!
He makes me smile too, that face! Thank you. I am much better!
A *virtual* bday party? I have never heard of it but I guess since everything is virtual then it’s possible. Hope you continue feeling better and I am the same as you – just because I don’t drink a ton I still have the big Costco size of Vodka at my house at all times. If it runs low I am sure to get another bottle so I’m not actually out.
Haha! More so sending out gifts to friends and family that live away from me. Costa sized Vodka. Oh boy!
All the Bright Places. Sigh. I still want to cry when I think about the last third of that book. So glad you enjoyed it!
Hope you’re feeling better!
It was really good, and I feel like it couldn’t have ended any other way even if we wanted it to. Feeling much better.
LOVE those sandles!!!! I do NOT love kids’ parties. lol
I got them a Kohl’s for like $11. Bring on Spring. Haha! It was chaos!
That’s a lot of birthdays! I love those sandals, they’re super cute.
So many! Those sandals are going to bring in Spring!
Yay for restocking the bar! Love your new kicks. I hope you’re feeling better now though 🙂
It was much needed! Ha! I am feeling much better and going to break in my new kicks tonight.
Sorry you got a stomach thing!
Cute new shoes.
Thanks, feeling better but it was rough for a few hours.
Thanks!
Loving your sandals! Hope you’re feeling better today! xoxo
I am so excited to get to wear them! It is warming up. I am feeling much better. Thank you.
Your paleo meatloaf looks really good. I hope you feel better soon!
It was so good, and it’s lunch the rest of the week. Easy peasy! Feeling much better!
