Happy Monday. It was a very full weekend. I think I might be coming down with something but I am trying to fight it off. I have been chugging orange juice to try and help.
It was a full weekend though and I finally got to go hiking!! It is making me even more excited for the snow to melt since the hiking was a little slow going. I even fell into a snow drift that was melted in the middle and it went to about mid thigh. I just got back up and kept going though.
I went to the Mall to get my niece a swimsuit she wanted at the Justice store. I was in and out in 15 minutes. I have a serious hatred of malls so this was a big win!
After getting home I finished reading my book, and then took a nap. Once I woke up I saw that the snow in the driveway was gone so I decided to go hiking. It was so perfect, a little hard with the snow, but also exactly what I needed.
I spent the rest of the night watching a few episodes of The Fall. So creepy but good. I also started a new book called Come Home.
Sunday was my nieces birthday party. It was held at the Children’s Museum. They were having a blast and there were a few floors so it kept them busy and entertained.

How great that you were able to get out. I haven’t ventured out myself yet, but am hoping in another week or so, it will be safe to even navigate the narrow streets to get around the neighborhood, at least. The birthday party looks so fun. YAY for hiking!!!!! the trails are still covered in ice and snow; snow i can deal with but ice? slip and fall and break my neck down the cliff? no thanks.
Yes, it was mostly mushy snow which wasn’t too bad, though a slipped a time or two, but it wasn’t on cliffs. Yikes.

I read Lisa Scottolini’s column in our Sunday Inquirer and I love it. Her daughter writes a column once in a while, too. The party looked perfect.
Off to get my routine mammogram!

Thank you. It was so nice to get out and get a workout in outdoors for a change. This is my first book of hers and I am liking it so far, I didn’t realize she wrote a column. Haha! If only men had to go through it, there would be a better process. Good luck!

It was so good, I binge watched it this weekend. It was amazing just to be outside and get some fresh air.
i need to see wild! i read the book and can’t wait to see the movie. i love the fall. it was so scary and that guy (actor) scares me now!!
It was really good, and I cried in a few spots. It made the story a little more cohesive for me.
It totally got me hooked. I can’t believe it’s the same guy from 50 Shades. He plays it so well.
Now I really want to see Wild! I read the book but didn’t get around to the movie.
Yes, I missed it when it as in the theaters since I read the book so late but the movies was even better. It moved faster when the book lagged a bit, though I liked both.
i have heard about the fall but haven’t watched it, and that is so good about the movie being more powerful than the book – i’ll have to check it out for sure!
I kept hearing about it so I finally added it on Netflix, so worth it. Totally worth the watch when it comes out on Redbox. Hard in spots but really powerful.

It wasn’t so bad when I went since the wind died down but it was frigid this weekend. It was so nice to be able to hike again. I am chugging Orange juice and drinking lots of tea to fend it off. Fingers crossed.
I love the Children’s Museum birthday party idea, I’m always on the look out for cool weather ideas since K’s birthday in in November.

That’s great that you were still able to get a hike in even with the snow. I need to finish my book so I can read/watch Wild…which is also true of a lot of books/movies actually. I am so behind on things I want to read/watch.
I was ready to forget about it, but when I saw the snow melted I went for it. Yes, I feel so behind on some of the movies out there because I want to read the books first!

I really wanted to go especially since last weekend got cancelled. It was so nice to be outside again. She was so excited and happy.

I can’t believe you still have so much snow! This is the first year in a long time that I haven’t had snow this late and it’s been exciting. I love going with my friends who have kids to the Children’s Museum we have here, it gives me an excuse to play around 🙂
It has been brutal but hoping it will be gone in another week or so. It has been so long since I’ve been to a children’s museum it was fun!

I think it moved along faster than the book. I can’t say that for most books turned movies.

It had so much with them to play with and on. I have been wanting to hiking and get outside for weeks, so excited to get outside. It was really good, and a little better than the book.

Still snowing?! Wow!! We got a lot of rain the last week, but it seems to be warmer temps from here on out now. That is awesome that you at least got to make it out, even if you did fall in the snow some. Hope you have a great week!
It was only a dusting and then it melted so I can handle that but hopefully the rest melts this week. I can finally see more hiking in my future! Here’s to a good week!

I know, we used to spend hours at the mall as a kid and now I hate it. Much prefer the outlets and smaller strip malls. Thanks, lots of vitamin C.
What type of creepy is The Fall? It looks interesting! The birthday festivities look like so much fun!
It is based on a serial killer and the cops trying to figure it out, so you see both sides. It is creepy in that he is just way to good at it, and he doesn’t seem to want to stop. They had a blast and expended a lot of energy which is good for the parents! 😉
Hiking in the snow!!! You go girl. Sounds kinda fun though:) It’s always just good to get out and do something to celebrate spring… I am guessing anyway where you live!

I went full blown sick and ending up going home early today. After 4 naps I am starting to feel better.
Hurray for hiking! I’m planning on going tomorrow in Western Massachusetts, and hopefully a little bit more of the snow will have melted! Kids’ birthday parties can either be ridiculously cute or ridiculous maddening, it helps if the guest of honor is your niece or nephew 🙂

I love Lisa Scottoline’s books. She has a new one coming out April 14th called Every Fifteen Minutes. I canot wait to read it.
She was a new to me author but I am liking it so far. I’ll have to check out some of her other books.
Glad to hear that Wild was just as good as the book. It’s on my list to see. Even when I was reading the book, I thought Reese was a good casting choice.
I think I liked it even better than the book since it flowed a little better or quicker. I think Reese did a really great job with it, so much emotion.

Right! After reading the book I had to watch the movie and it motivated me to get moving.
Malls are TERRIBLE. And to go into Justice… with a bunch of crazy pre-teens and kids running around amock?! You are a BRAVE soul!
They are horrible, and they make me all twitchy. I totally look online for the mall map and plan my entrance to make the faster route out. Haha!
