Well my favorite holiday has come and gone which makes me sad. Though this means that Christmas movies will be on 24/7 and I am not mad about that at all. This is my favorite time of year. All the hope, love and good cheer really energizes me so I am excited. Yes it’s busy but it is also magical. I am just going to embrace it all.

Saturday I started the morning with some coffee and a book. I knew I was going to be gone most of the day so it was a nice way to start the day. I headed down to my Dad’s house around noon, so I could decorate his yard and get dressed up. I passed out candy for the night and ironically my Dad had on Xmas movies when it wasn’t on sports.
I made one kid cry and made at least 5 kids gasp in surprise and fear. It was epic.

After a nap on the couch in between more reading I did some food prep. I made two batches of Paleo Meatloaf and some Broccoli pie. Broccoli pie is my favorite dish that we have on Thanksgiving and it is a great way to use up the 4 bags of broccoli I had in my freezer. Win!
Seamus channeled his inner E.T. but this angel is also a pretty cute devil.

How was your weekend?
Do you dress up for Halloween, pass out candy or hide till it’s over?
Linking up with Biana from B Loved Boston.
You looked great! Creepy! And Seamus looked adorable, as always. 🙂
We did not do much, which was fine with me. It was nice to have a fairly quiet weekend.
Do you have a recipe for the paleo meatloaf? That broccoli pie sounds delish! Recipe?
Here’s to the new week!
Thank you it was a fun costume. The meatloaf is from the book the Paleo Kitchen by Juli Bauer. For the broccoli pie I just cook the broccoli according to the package, then chop some velvetta cheese and crunch some ritz crackers add some butter on top and bake on 375 degrees for about 12 minutes or until lightly browned. So good.
Your Halloween costume was epic – so well done girl!!! Sounds like you had a really great weekend – I’m pretty sure I would have been scared with your Halloween tactics too haha! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston
Thank you. It really is my favorite holiday!
Good Lord on scaring the kids. Great costume! Sean’s last home game at Villanova – so Senior Day. I was way more happy than emotional like my husband and son! My chickens and grand chickens were there, my sister Lori-Sean’s fairy Godmother and sisters-in-law- My main chicken was working on her SHORE HOUSE
I am so thrilled looking at her pictures and knowing she has a SHORE HOUSE! Yesterday, very nice and warm and puppy /sibling integration was on the menu.
As for trick-or-treaters – we had 20 max. I think people had their own parties!
Have a happy week.
Love, Steph’s MOmma
Bittersweet for Sean’s last game. It is so nice being able to see Steph’s pull the shore house together. It is coming along nicely and what a fun vacation home. We had over 100 kids, it was so busy but fun! Hope you have a great week!
Ha, I would have been one of those spooked adults! Your costume looked great, though!
Thank you. Trust me a few adults were scared too. 😉
hahaha i loved that you walked around in costume at target! you should have filmed it!!
That would have been funny. So many shocked faces!!
Great job with the costume!! It came out sooooo good – I love that you freaked the kids out 😉 That broccoli pie looks awesome!! Have a great week.
Thank you. It was such a fun costume to do. Happy Monday!
I scared the 4 year old daughter of a VP at work and I was only dressed as a friendly pirate! Love your makeup and attention to detail–I never would have thought to undead my hands!
Awww a pirate isn’t too bad. Did you say argh?! Haha! It didn’t take too long to do either and I only had to buy the bow tie.
Your makeup is so good! Great job!
Thank you. It took less that 20 minutes to do too.
Your makeup was spot on!
Thanks! It didn’t take much to do.
cutest devil ever!! love your costume. i remember you decorating your dad’s house last year. i cannot believe how fast time has flown!
He was so cute. Yes, I do it every year, though this year was harder since he just put down hydroseed. My favorite holiday ever!
Your costume was on point! I would have been scared, haha! Seamus all wrapped up in the blanket is the cutest!! Hope you have a great Monday!
I can’t believe how many people were scared. So fun! That was my favorite, I forced him to snuggle. He loves to amuse me. Haha!
Awwww look at him with devil horns! The cutest!! LOVE your costume, damn your makeup is amazing. I love that you made a kid cry, that’s so great.
It totally kills the look with his tongue hanging out. It was kinda funny but I felt bad for like a minute! 🙂
Bahahah… you made a kid cry! (I almost cried, too.)
That broccoli pie looks SO FREAKING good! The crumbly top… gahhhhh!
It wasn’t that bad! Haha! It is my favorite Thanksgiving side dish. It is not the healthiest but not so bad either.
Your costume was incredible!
Thank you, it was fun!
oh my gosh you made a kid cry?! seriously you might have made me cry / piss my pants if i’d seen you in real life. haha.
I did she was like 3 years old and even one kid almost tripped off the stairs trying to keep me in his sights. It was kinda adorable.
You looked so good. It’s so much fun giving out candy and scaring some of the children. I love all the different costumes. Seamus is so cute, I can’t even!
It is so fun to see their faces and even the parents commented that they love that we participate every year. Thank you, he was the cutest little devil.
Oh my gosh your costume!! I would have been freaked out haha!

It happened a lot, so fun to scare people every so often. Hehe!
You look fantastic! Nothing like making people scared out of their mind 🙂
I’m sad to see Halloween go too!
A little fear is good, right?! Haha! So sad it’s over. On to Xmas movies though.
Your costume is epic! I’m glad you had a great Halloween!
Thank you! I love Halloween. Hope you had a fright or two. 😉
I love your costume! How awesome.
Thank you. It wasn’t too much work.
Things you will never hear me say: “I watched some of the Saw movies for inspiration.” LOLOL WAHHH
Hahaha! Not into scary movies, huh?! I wanted to watch Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street but ran out of time.
Haha look at those ears on Seamus!!! I had plans to go to Marhsall’s this weekend but never made it. I need to get over there stat! I think I saw that book on Heather’s blog recently too because I went to look it it up on Goodreads and already marked it to read! Glad you got to scare some kids, that is always fun 🙂 I am ready for some Christmas movies myself!!! Elf is now fair game!
He was too cute. Marshall’s always has great stuff! Ohhh yes Elf is totally fair game now!
Confession: I don’t know what your costume was. I saw someone else dressed in the same one and I’m all puzzled. I don’t watch horror movies and I think it might be from one of those which explains why I don’t know it.
Broccoli pie sounds so good!
It was Jigsaw from the Saw franchise. I love scary movies but I get it if you don’t watch them. It is so yummy my favorite dish from Thanksgiving.
I probably shouldn’t laugh at the fact that you made a kid cry, but dang, that’s funny!
It was so sad but also a bit of pride!
Um, your costume is slightly terrifying! I love how you say making a kid cry is epic.
I felt bad but at the same time I knew that meant I was scary enough. 😉
Haha!! Jigsaw is such a good costume idea for people who can pull it off — I’d be scared if I saw you, too! Sounds like you had a fun and relaxing weekend. Is it time to put up the tree, yet?! hehe
I got a lot of looks, people were frightened. Haha! I was thinking I will at least put up my reindeer collection. I get a real tree so it’s too soon but almost there!
Great job on the face paint for your costume! Nice and spooky for Halloween. I’m sad I missed Halloween trick-or-treaters this but Christmas is my favorite time of year so I’m jumping right into that.
I got a lot of looks, people were frightened. Haha! I was thinking I will at least put up my reindeer collection. I get a real tree so it’s too soon but almost there!
Such a cute doggie ♥♥

Thank you! He is always good for a smile!
Yayyy for making kids cry on Halloween, I want to do that next year!
Haha! It was a sense of accomplishment. 😉
The detail of your costume is amazing! LOL at making kids gasp and cry 😛
Thank you. It was a fun and easy costume. When I saw all the looks I was getting in Target I knew it was a good one.
