Friday: I curled up on the couch with a Parrot Bay Strawberry and Sprite and a new book called Backwoods by Jill Sorenson. It was not at all what I thought it was going to be but it was still decent.
Saturday: I got started early doing errands as well as some shopping. Target had daisy dukes for 6 YEAR OLDS!!! What is wrong with them. So I had to head to Kohl’s instead. I also went to the Post Office to mail a package, then hit the back roads to the Nissan dealership. It seems thanks to the potholes in Massachusetts my 3 year old Nissan has issues with my struts. 🙁 So I will have to make some time to have it worked on and my tires replaced too. However while heading to the dealership I went through the more rural parts of my town and saw a farm with the horses out grazing. I really should have been a farm girl.
I headed home after the dealership and read for a little bit, took a nap and then got ready for the Sip Happens wine party with Kate, Jodi, Allena, and Emily. We had a blast and a lot of laughs. We got to try a few new wines that we haven’t tried before that night. It started at 7 pm and we didn’t leave until midnight. Look forward to getting to hang out with them again.
Sunday: Seamus was kind enough {extreme sarcasm in case you missed it} to wake me up at 6:45 so after getting only 5.5 hours of sleep I got up had breakfast, read a little bit then went grocery shopping. I packed my nieces birthday gift and a small Easter basket I made for them. It was a little early but I wasn’t sure if I would see them before Easter.
It was a tea party and the theme was based on the Children’s book Madeline which was where my niece got her name. They also painted pots that they got to plant seeds. I also got roped into taking pictures to which all the parents ran screaming leaving me with like 12 kids. Even Daycare centers have limits to the ratio of kids to adults!!!! Not right.
It was a good day but I was glad to get home around 6pm to finally relax and catch up on my DVR shows. It was a busy weekend but also really productive and fun!
I would have liked to get some time to shoot the lake by my house for the Water Picture challenge but you get a picture of my water jug that I bring to work everyday. This reminds me to get in my gallon of water a day. It may not be pretty but it gets the job done! 😉
How was your weekend?

I love your water picture, the face on it is awesome!
It sounds like you had a ton of fun at sip happens too, the food looks delicious!
Thank you! It wasn’t the lake but it will do. 🙂 My food one will be better. Kate did such a great job and it was so fun meeting everyone!
STILL jealous of the meetup but you already know that. the bday party looked like so much fun and so adorable!!
We need to plan something when it gets warmer! It was so cute all the little touches and the yellow hats!
LOL love your water jug, though! How convincing! The party theme was so cute and Kate’s party looks adorable, too! I tried to fit in a Kohl’s run this weekend because they had a good coupon out but it never happened. Love that place, though.
Haha! It helps. It was so much fun getting together with everyone. Kohl’s had so many cute things and I ended up with a Maxi dress for myself! 🙂
Sounds like a great weekend. I need that water jug as a reminder too!
It is perfect since you can just keep refilling rather than having to keep getting up! 🙂
The Sip Happens party looks like it was so much fun! And the bunny glasses for your niece are cracking me up 🙂
-Sharon
It was a blast! She is such a little ham, playing it up for the camera! 🙂
Still jelly of the Sip Happens! Oh man, I hate when the dogs wake me up like that!
It was so fun and lots of good wine! He has such a good internal clock he never lets me sleep in no matter when we go to bed!
Sounds like a perfect weekend – minus the early morning wakeup!! Hope you have a great Monday!
Yes, I would have liked a little more sleep but it was a really good weekend!
Your nieces party is too cute, sounds like a good weekend!
It was such a cute set-up! It was very busy but a very good weekend.
Holy moly. Do you really get in a gallon every day?
Yes I do, plus a coffee and one diet soda. 🙂 Usually before work ends but if not I finish it at the gym.
So glad we finally got to meet!! And definitely, again soon!!
It was so fun and can’t wait to do it again!
The Sip Happens party looks like fun! I love wine and cheese pairing especially Brie cheese!
It was so fun and really great to meet fellow bloggers. Oh, Brie is my favorite too!
Sip happens! such a great idea I am copying!
Um and daisy dukes for 6 year olds? Over it.
You should sign up to host one! They were all so short I just couldn’t do it, so Kohl’s came to the rescue.
I love the Sip Happens idea! Too funny. I try to drink a gallon a day as well but I just use regular old boring water bottles! Maybe if I drew a face on mine it would be more fun!
Yes you need to dress it up a bit!! Plus I try to play a game with myself regarding where it needs to be on the face by a certain time of the day. Like it has to be past the nose by lunch time. Then past the mouth after lunch ends.
Sips Happens looked awesome. I’m glad you went and enjoyed it!
HELL NO TARGET with your daisy dukes for babies.
I think my alignment is out. Effing potholes.
It was a blast and Kate said she would take a day off work to be able to see you when you come up! 🙂
I was shocked they were so short. They went straight across, those are not shorts!! Ugh! The potholes are so bad, I wince every time I can’t avoid them. The quick fix cover does nothing to help either.
So glad you had a good weekend and a great time with the girls on saturday!!!
Thank you! It was fun and a lot of laughs!
Aw Kerry this looked so fun. A night of wine and cheese and good blogger friends and a family party. Love it. Also, girl when I was in Target I thought the same damn thing. Their shorts are OUTRAGEOUS
It was a really good weekend! They were so short there really wasn’t even legs!! I was so not going to get those for my niece. It was just creepy.
Give me that fruit and cheese!!! YUM! Sounds like a fun weekend!
I think I could live off fruit and cheese! It was a really great weekend!
Aw adorable kiddos! And that shot of te horses is AMAZING! So pretty!
I hope your car is an easy fix. I need to take mine in and have totally been lagging.
Thanks for linking up for MMG 🙂
Thank you, they are such cuties and personality for days. I totally banged a u-turn to get a shot of them too. 🙂 I hope so too, the potholes are so bad here it is doing a number on my car.
Oh gosh!! I definitely don’t drink a gallon of water a day–but I do drink about 72 oz. You put that to shame haha! I like your idea to use the gallon jug though. I think tonight I’ll set myself up with a glass of wine and a book–I haven’t just sat and enjoyed a book in a while (I usually read just a bit before bed). I used to have so much more time to read when I was nannying haha!
That is nothing to sneeze at you are almost there. It helps since you don’t have to get up as much and it is a visual reminder of how much you have left. That sounds like a perfect night. I usually read for a bit in the morning, during my lunch break and before bed but the weekends I get a little more time.
I’m so jealous you girls live that close to each other and got to enjoy the sip happens party! I’m heading to my first blogger meet up in April and I’m very excited about it! The tea party based off Madeline because that’s where her name came from is such a cute idea! Thinking about your car girly!
It is so nice to have them so close by. She looked adorable in her cape and hat! I am hoping it is only a minor repair but I need tires too. 🙁
I love the “Sip Happens” party theme… I’m so gonna have one of those! Hahaha and your water pic made me LOL
It is so fun and a great way to try new wines! Glad it made you laugh, it helps a lot to get my water intake in.
Oh my gosh! My sister is a Madeline. haha. How funny. I, of course being 5, wanted to name her Starbright. And I didn’t even watch My Little Pony.
The wine party sounds wonderful. I should do something like that with my friends soon!
Haha! Starbright would have been awesome! You should it was so much fun. It is run by a fellow blogger.
The “Sip Happens” party sounds like such a fun idea!!! Glad y’all all got together!
Thank you! Wine is always a good idea. We had a blast and lots of laughs.
Don’t even get me started on the skanky clothes they have for kids these days!!!!!!!! Who BUYS that shit?!
I have seen the tween stuff but for 2-6 for toddlers????? WTH!! I walked right out of there. I couldn’t believe they would even sell it for that age group.
You always seem to have such full weekends. Looks like a lot of fun 🙂
Thank you! Some are really relaxing, others are full of errands. This was such a good one but very tiring.
Oh my goodness, the six-year-old daisy dukes!!! Brutal. Some of the adult shorts are pretty unnecessarily short too…not a fan haha. And your water jug is so cute!!
They just seem to get shorter and shorter every year. Whatever happened to a little modesty. Thank you! It makes it a little more fun. 😉
you are always on the go. i always get roped into taking pics at parties or baby wrangling!
Sometimes too much! Haha! Just because we have a fancy camera!! I am revolting next time! 😉
Good book and a glass of wine?? My idea of heaven! Looks like a fun weekend!
It was the perfect way to end a long week and save some energy for a busy weekend. 🙂
Looks like a great weekend. And love the writing/picture on the water…great reminder! 🙂
It makes drinking my water a little less boring. 🙂
