With the leaves finally starting to drop from the trees the temps are dropping right along with them. This is the time when my skin takes a beating, so I decided to share with you all the different products I use to keep my skin protected and in the best shape possible. Most of these products can be used regardless of male or female aside from the face cream.
CARMEX – My Mom got me hooked on Carmex when I was 17 and I have used it ever since. It is the best product ever for chapped lips and with the addition of Cherry, Strawberry and now a Pomegranate flavor I have at least 10 of these on hand.
L’Oreal Revita Lift Anti-Wrinkle and Firming Face Cream – I have been using this face cream since I was 21. It is never to early to protect your face against wrinkles. I am now in my 30’s with not a wrinkle in sight. Prevention is key but it is never to late to start. It is a little pricey ($18-20) but it lasts about 6 months and totally worth it.
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter – Yes this is mostly used by pregnant woman trying to fight off stretch marks but I use it for my elbows and my hands. My skin is very sensitive to cold and dry weather to the point they crack if to cold and dry. This is the best because it really gets deep into your pores and doesn’t come off as easily as other products.
Infinity Scarf – This one is from Anthropologie but I just got this one from Target in a cream color and it is amazing. They keep my neck warm and fight off the cold New England Weather.
Vaseline Cocoa Butter – I use this on my whole body after the shower to keep the rest of me from drying out like an alligator. Again it has a little more weight to it then most creams so it really provides a protective barrier from the cold and really moisturizes my skin.

organic argan oil is my secret skin weapon! i carry a small bottle with me everywhere and have one each in my bathrooms. the only lip balm that has worked for me is martina gebhert lip balm and i’ve tried every lipbalm on the market!
Ohh I haven’t heard of that lip balm, must try it! Where do you find the Argan Oil?
I get a little alligator skin in the winter too, I stayed lotioned up!
My legs especially!! Do you have a favorite lotion?
I LOVE the body butters from the Body Shop in the winter. The mango scent is my favorite, (not very fall or winter-y), but the aloe is awesome too. I need to try that facial cream, I’m using Oil of Olay now, but I always try something different.
Oh yes, I forgot about those, I have a few I need to pull out of my ever growing pile of lotion! The face cream I swear by it!!
I love my scarves and Palmer’s Cocoa Butter! My skin gets super scaly.
It is the best one I have found, others are too thin and do nothing to keep the dryness away!

Yes!! I like them all, it work so good! I used to use the tins and now they have the tubes. I do not care as long as it’s CARMEX!!! 🙂
I’ve never seen the carmex before. Going to look for it as my lips get soooo chapped in the winter months!
It is so perfect for chapped lips. Within a day my lips are smooth again. Love it!
This is the first year I’ve put on moisturizer on my face in the cold months and I don’t know what I did before this!!!
Oh it is a must here! Anything to keep the lines away a little bit longer and I am all for it.
Carmel is THE BEST! It’s definitely on my must haves list, also thanks to my mom. It works nicely for chapped noses too if you’re home sick and without a menthol rub.
