Well Winter decided to play a trick on us again and drop down into the single digits and dump some more snow on us. I ended up going home early yesterday to deal with oil delivery. I really didn’t get anything done though other than warming up my house. I did finish one knit hat that was requested and then I need to start the second one. So since I was unproductive I am just going to dump some random confessions on you, since I spent my nightly blogging time shoveling.
* Speaking of snow I hate it. Really the only time I love it is when you are in sweats, curled up on the couch with lots of blankets and hot cocoa. Having to walk in it, drive in it, shovel it just plain stinks.
* Due to the above, if it wasn’t for my family I would have moved to Texas already. Besides being warmer almost all the time, the people are just so friendly which is like Disneyland to me! This is our forecast for the week. Really?!
* In college I was cutting a frozen bagel with a butter knife (dishes were dirty) and I sliced my hand between my index and middle finger. I slapped a gauze pad on it and went to class but when it wouldn’t stop bleeding I went to the clinic. I ended up with 4 stitches! Lesson learned!
* I have gotten two emails recently from fellow bloggers that really just warmed my soul. Either asking for help or telling me they liked how positive I am. I really have no desire to be “blog famous” I just really want to add a little light to darker days, share my stories, and help others so it really meant a lot. I like helping people and when I get a change to do that it makes me happy!
* As happy go lucky as I can be, I still am really a grouch until I have had my coffee. Okay maybe not a grouch because i just mumble and won’t talk till it kicks in. Better for everyone involved!
Well that is all my brain can handle at this point. I am still a little frozen.
What are your confessions?

Liz @ Fitness Blondie says
You for one, don’t have to try to be “blog famous” or anything like that… people radiate to you for who you are. You are one of a kind so I am not surprised you received such sweet emails. <3 I can't believe you guys have to go to work in that mess. If it snowed like that in Charlotte, NC, we would be closed for 2 days, ha!!
Kerry says
Thank you girl! That really means a lot to me coming from you. You are pretty awesome sauce too! I was really hoping for the day off, but they just laugh it off. Only if we get like 10 inches do they close. Even though all the schools are closed. Boo! 🙁
Jessica Gardner says
Love the coffee mug & I saw we both pack up & move to Texas. I’ve always wanted to move there as well. Something about cowboy boots are sexy.
Kerry says
Isn’t it perfect and a great warning to others! Haha! Yes, we really need to just go! Cowboys in cowboy boots, yes please! Love a good rugged man!
kathy @ vodka and soda says
haha!! that coffee mug is hilarious. i wish i had a door i could put up at my desk that indicated my mood to coffee consumption. wouldn’t that be awesome? like a big red light above that indicates “STAY THE FUCK AWAY” to green that indicates “COFFEE CONSUMED; YOU MAY ENTER NOW AND NOT GET CUT”.
and K, is that the length of your driveway?! DAMN, i would hate to shovel all of that too!!!
Kerry says
Yes, we really need a door or a light indicator to when it is okay to talk! Haha! Yes that is my actual driveway. It fits like 6-8 cars. It makes shoveling so not fun!
Nikki @ The Pink Growl says
I love that mug too! I need some form of caffeine in the mornings too – Diet coke or coffee, either way. You definitely are a positive soul, my friend! So glad you are getting that feedback because you deserve it. I always look forward to your kind comments! 🙂
Kerry says
Yes, it is so bad it is usually coffee first then diet coke, then I move on to water the rest of the day. I really need the jolt to get going. Thank you girl! I am just glad you guys come round to read it!
Lauren says
I love that mug and may have to make a version of it for my boss for Valentine’s Day (there are three women in my office and we exchange gifts for everything!). Get on down to Texas and rack up some frequent flyer miles to visit the fam – we would love to have you! You are always super positive and upbeat without being preachy or fake so that does make your blog fun to read! Thaw out soon, friend!
Kerry says
That would be an awesome gift!!! I really need to go and thaw out. Get your spare room ready! 🙂 Woohoo!! That is what I was going for so I am glad it is not gag me with a spoon cheery but real! Thanks girl!
Morgan says
Those temperatures are brutal!! Stay warm!
Kerry says
It is hard to breathe when it is that cold. Staying inside for sure!
Dollops of Diane says
I also hate snow. Can’t stand any part of it! My kids have a snow day today so I have no plans to leave the house at all!
Kerry says
It is not fun when you have to be out in it! Woohoo!! Perfect, cold weather indoors is much more enjoyable!
Renee says
I’m soooo with you on the grouch thing before my coffee and the part about only liking snow when you don’t have to go anywhere in it!
Kerry says
Coffee makes everyday better! 😉 Snow is really the best excuse to curl up on the couch and watch a movie marathon!
chelseajacobs says
Love that coffee cup haha
Kerry says
The perfect silent reminder of just when the coffee kicks in! 😉
Amanda says
I would rather be KNOWN for who I am that be “blog famous” too. 🙂 That’s why I like ya, kiddo. 🙂
Kerry says
Exactly!! I just wanna be me (yes that was an N’Sync reference). You are pretty darn special too, girl!
Pinky says
That mug is awesome! and I agree snow is beautiful, but more fun in sweats!
Kerry says
I mean if it can’t be enjoyed in sweats then really what is the point of the snow?!
Chloe says
Girl, you are soooo fab. I mean you had no clue who I was and came in and helped me out. That was very very sweet of you. I know a few bloggers who would be like…sorry, sucks to suck.
As for that driveway…I would have been like “sorry work, can’t make it.” lol. Where do you live?
Kerry says
Thank you! Glad to help out when I can and you totally don’t suck! I totally want to call in sick every time it snows. I am in the MetroWest part of Massachusetts.
Maddie says
we got a dusting last night. all schools are closed;)
Kerry says
That is really not fair at all! I am really jealous!
Jessica says
You should totally move to Texas! I’m here!!
Kerry says
I know right?! You will have to introduce me to some hot cowboys! Or at least Texans with really hot accents!
Ashley says
You have been extremely nice and helpful to me too! Thank you for being amazing 🙂
Kerry says
Thank you! You are very welcome and I am always glad to help. Blogging is so hard and there was so much to learn when I started. Always better to make the road a little less bumpy for someone else when you can!
Emily T says
You definitely add some light to the blogging world! Your blog is always one of my “must reads.” Stay warm!
Kerry says
Thank you so much!! You are in my “must reads” as well, girl!
Helene says
really you want to move to texas because of me, right 🙂
Kerry says
Of course! I told you all the nicest people are from Texas! Between you, Lauren and Jessica I just have to go now! 🙂
SMD @ Life According to Steph says
Frigging snow…but I’m still and always will be a northeast girl. I don’t think I’d fit in anywhere else.
Kerry says
I know it seems never ending and it seems like it is supposed to snow on Saturday too! Ugh! It is so hard because I grew up here and my family is here so I can’t imagine missing out on their lives, but I do think I’d love Texas! Though I would always be a Mass-hole!! Haha!
Amy Powell (@amyrenepowell) says
I couldn’t handle that cold. It’s dropping into the 20s in Texas here tonight & I’m trying to ignore even that! stay warm, girl.
Kerry says
It is getting old for sure! Ohhh that is brutal for Texas. Bundle up on your end too!
Kim @ Racing Bananas says
I love that coffee mug – totally describes me in the morning! I’m totally over the cold too – it’s freezing and snowing. Is it spring yet?!
Kerry says
Isn’t it the best, then you can just point to where you are at! I am so impatiently waiting for Spring, or at least some 50 degree weather!
Amber says
Brr. Too cold! It’s supposed to be really cold tomorrow. I am not looking forward to it. I am ready for summer.
Kerry says
It feels so brutal and my skin is taking a beating! Pretty much anything over 32 degrees would be great at this point.
Stacia says
I love the mug. I really dislike coffee, but it takes me about 45 minutes to really wake up in the morning.
Kerry says
Yes, I am so slow to get moving!
Ashley says
Haha I definitely agree about snow! It’s only fun if you get to stay inside and drink hot chocolate 🙂 I live in a warm climate, but we do get an occasional cold front – we are expecting one tomorrow unfortunately!
Kerry says
Yes, much better enjoy from indoors! Hope it doesn’t get to cold there! Stay Warm!
Kelly says
What great feedback! That truly is good for the soul. But, you get what you give and you do radiate positive energy. It speaks to who you are, so kudos to you! Love the coffee mug! Stay warm…it’s not getting any better anytime soon. Cheers to hot chocolate! 🙂
Kerry says
Thank you! I hope to always spread a little positivity, so glad it is working! I heard we are supposed to get more snow on Saturday. Hot Cocoa it is! 🙂
Erin says
you are blog famous to me!!
Kerry says
Aww thanks girl! You rock!
Angi Solle says
I’ve been MIA for a few days so I haven’t seen your new blog picture, looking fantastic women and that mug is awesome (I must HAVE!)
Kerry says
I was wondering where you were. Thank you! It really serves as a warning to others, so it is a public service! 😉
Holly says
Ok, forgive me for boasting, but I just have to say that my favorite part of winter is watching it on TV from Las Vegas. 😉 I kid, of course. I hope you get some relief from the harsh winter weather soon!!
Kerry says
Oh poo!! Way to rub it in! Haha! It is so much more fun from warmer climates! 🙂 I think we are supposed to get more snow on Saturday! 🙁
Christy@SweetandSavoring says
I’m so over winter! These freezing temperatures and snowstorms have been ridiculous. It’s okay to hate it 🙂
Coffee…definitely gotten more into it lately myself. Have you ever had it with coconut oil? So rich, so delicious.
Kerry says
Me too!! It makes it hard to breathe when it is this cold! I haven’t tried it with Coconut oil but I have some at home!
elleseesyou says
We have the same temps here this week in Atl but no snow! At least give us some snow so the whole city will shut down. I like snow but only bc I never grew up in it.
Kerry says
Ugh that must be really cold for you guys, not being used to it. It is nice when we finally get a snow day but they don’t close very often. I think was are all wishing for Spring at this point! 😉
Kate @ Another Clean Slate says
So sweet that people have contacted you! You are SO positive.
Enough with this winter!!
Kerry says
It was so amazing and so sweet of them. They asked for help because they were just starting out or just to say they loved my blog. Either way it’s just good to hear now and again to know you are doing something right. I have my bad days but I try for the good days to outweigh the bad!
Any time this Winter wants to go away is okay by me!
Janna says
I can’t believe a butter knife could cause that much damage! Yikes!
Kerry says
Yeah, I was shocked it was bleeding that much. It was a frozen bagel so I was digging pretty hard to cut it. Such a stupid thing to do. I can still see the scar from the stitches.
