Yesterday I shared my Fall Bucket List printable and to say I am a little excited to get started would be an understatement. I have been pinning and moving items on Pinterest to my All About Autumn board to help get me started. So I am going to share the five items I am excited to start making.
One. I didn’t make it to the Fair this year so I missed my opportunity for Fried Dough or Elephant Ears depending on your area. This just screams “Bring on the Chunky Knit sweaters!”
Two. I love the smell of homemade bread baking in the oven, this Honey Beer Bread sounds amazing. I might try adding in some cinnamon or nutmeg or maybe pumpkin spice.
Three. The search is on for a really good chili recipe. I am sure I will be trying many and making my own combination. Just experimenting with a few with be fun though!
Four. This is another one that I look forward to experimenting with the recipe. I more than likely will add caramel to the final recipe.
Five. I normally make some sort of Apple Pie this time of year, but I am sure there will plenty of time for that later. So when I was looking for another type of pie to make I came across this Caramel Pear Pie. Since these two ingredients sound amazing together I thought this would be a really good one to make. There is always room for pie right?
Well it looks like I have a lot of baking to do in the very near future! Better get to it! Hope everyone has a very relaxing weekend.
What are your favorite Fall Baked items?

I make all types of things in the fall but my husband likes pumpkin pie the most. So I wind up making that quite a bit.
Happy SITS day!
I just recently started liking pumpkin pie so I will be making that too! I love experimenting with new flavors too!
One of my favorite fall things to make is butternut squash soup! Fall apples and butternut squash…yum!
Ohhh I didn’t even think about Butternut Squash soup! That sounds delish! Do you have a favorite recipe?
Yum, I’m drooling here. Everything looks amazing.
Happy SITS Day!
Thank you! Hope it inspires you to make some fall favorites!
The fried dough is called scones in our area. Luckily, there are a few restaurants around that sell them. So if we miss them during carnival time (we have a traveling carnival that comes to our town, not a fair) then we can go get some whenever we want from those restaurants. We’ve made them at home, too. They’re yummy! I hope you enjoy yours.
Our favorite fall activity is Octoboween. We watch a Halloween movie every day of October (it’s my favorite holiday). We start the month with Nightmare Before Christmas and end it with Disney’s Legend of Sleepy Hallow. We do funny, scary, and strange. Old, new, obscure. It’s lots of fun. I can’t wait.
Congratulations on your SITS day. I hope it’s a fabulous day for you.
That is awesome that the restaurants make them. We have such a small limited window. Glad you were able to make them at home. That is making me so excited to try it!
Love the idea of Octoboween! That is such an awesome idea! I love Halloween (it’s my favorite too) and even dress up to pass out the candy! Watching a Halloween movie leading up to it sounds like such a great way to celebrate! Hope you have a great weekend!
Caramel pear pie sounds great!
Happy Friday!
Thank you. I am a little excited about trying that one out, especially the crust! Happy Friday!
this year i’m totally going to cheat on my “one dessert a year” rule and eat TWO desserts – pumpkin pie during thanksgiving and my usual dessert on my birthday. i’m really excited about breaking these rules 😀
You wild child you!! Breaking the law, breaking the law!! Haha! Pumpkin Pie is totally work an extra mile or so! 😉
Happy SITS Day! Pumpkin Chili is my FAVORITE!!! I love seasonal bucket list, so your last two posts were just what I love to read!
Thank you! I never thought to add Pumpkin to Chili but it sounds yummy! Bucket List are so good at motivating me to get out there and enjoy the season! Hope you have a great weekend!
I love Fall baking! It’s still too hot here in the desert, but in another three weeks I’ll be ready to go!
That’s perfect! Everyone on the East Coast can bake and give ideas for when it cools down out there! 🙂
Congrats on being featured blogger – enjoy your day! That caramel pear pie sounds heavenly!
Thank you. I am really looking forward to that one!
Mmmmmm … I think I’ll be making the Southwestern chicken chili AND the honey beer bread! You’ve inspired me!!!
They would be perfectly paired together too! So glad to spark the baking bug in others! 😉
Oh, these all look delicious. My favorite thing to bake in the fall is pumpkin muffins. I have an old recipe from an elderly relative that I’ve been using for years. I featured it in a post. (It’s about the only thing I bake in the fall!) You have inspired me with some new things to try. Happy SITS day!
Pumpkin muffins sound delish! I love handed down recipes! I bet it would be awesome with a browned butter glaze! Hope you try them, the smell of baked goods are the best!
All of these look sooooo GOOD! (Can you tell I haven’t had breakfast yet?) I love everything about the fall: the crisp weather, the vegetables and the sweaters. Thanks for inspiring me to make something “automny” this weekend!
And Happy SITS Day 🙂
Yeah!! Glad to inspire especially when it’s Fall inspired yummy goodness!! I promise to balance out all the sweets with lots of veggies!
I was just thinking that I needed to make an autumn board. Honey beer bread is the best!
You really should! It helps me feel accomplished when I get to check one off the list! I am so excited to make that bread! I’ve made a Honey Oat bread so looking forward to what the beer with do to it!
Happy SITS day!!
I love fall for the chilly nights and chili for dinner. And elephant ears!! Oh my!! Those are my favorite and the only reason I go to fairs. I missed it this year.
I have missed the last few fairs so its perfect getting to make it at home! Fall is really my favorite season!
OH my gosh — so glad I stopped by… I’ll be pinning these!! So ready for pumpkin flavored everything and warm comfort foods! 🙂
They all look so good and I just want to make them ALL!! Haha! So much for my diet! So worth it though! 🙂
Nothing says Fall like a pot of Chili around here. I like the sound of your beer bread and pie! Enjoy your SITS Day!
It is the perfect smell on a Lazy Sunday! If only I could eat it all and not gain a pound?! That need to happen! 😉
Looks yummy! Enjoy your SITS day!
Thank you! I am really looking forward to making them!
I appreciate you taking to time to contribute That’s very helpful.
Oh fall treats are sinfully good! I need to try to keep away!!! LOL
I try to resist and limit it to one or two but I end up just doing more cardio! LOL!
Wow… I’ve actually never heard of fried dough or Elephant ears but it looks incredible! Is it anything like funnel cake? Actually, everything on that list looks soooo good. Happy SITS Day!
Yes, yes it’s been called funnel cake too! Guess it just depends on your area of the globe! 🙂 It is all calling my name to bake them all!
We need to have a girl’s night one night and just make ALL of this! LOL… then we’ll go on a long work out the next day to make it for it!
Yes we really do!! The workout would e a must after all those treats!! 😉
I’ll take one of each, please and thank you 😉
Haha!! I am going to enjoy making all of them!
I need to find a chili recipe that freezes well. All the ones I’ve tried have not been all that great after I thaw them out..
Hmmm. Chili lasts long enough to freeze???? Say what? Just kidding! What happens when it thaws? Watery? Flavor different?
Oh you definitely hit upon some of my fall faves! I love anything apple in the fall, I love some great chili and adore pumpkin muffins and pumpkin bread! YUM! I am looking forward to having some of those delicious goodies soon! 🙂
Happy SITS Day! I hope it has been a great one for you!
Yah!! Hope you try some of them. Pretty much anything I can bake in the Fall is fair game!
Reading this made me hungry! There’s not many baked items that I’ll turn down, especially when they involve cinnamon, apple, banana, or pumpkin. And if fried dough is anywhere within a five mile radius of me, watch out! Total weakness 🙂
Those are some of my favorite flavors too! Fried dough was such a treat growing up and I haven’t had it in forever. Being able to make it at home maybe a little dangerous! 😉
What if…. there were an ACTUAL baking marathon? Like, you run and eat a slice of pie very mile. In theory it would be fantastic. Maybe not so much in practice? 😉
I like your train of thought! Might not work in practice, but I think it would really motivate some to run more!!
Happy SITS day! You made me so hungry! Of course I am reading this at supper time…now which one to make! LOL
LOL!! Make them all!! I may be overcome with fall baker-itis!! So my opinion is unreliable! 😉
Happy SITS Day! I hope it was a good one. I’m looking forward to apple pie baking too. I’m all about pumpkin in the fall, so I’m looking forward to the first pumpkin bread of the season!
Thank you, it’s been wonderful! Pumpkin or apple, it is all being used! I blame Fall for being so tempting!!
I love the pops of yellow on your happy and bright blog! 🙂 I always have such a hard time getting into fall and winter mode, because in Hawai’i we basically have two seasons: Wet and Dry. =D Haha. I’m looking forward to lots more rain and those awesome Thanksgiving and Christmas potlucks, though! That apple cider looks like fun to make. 🙂
Thank you, Yellow is my favorite color! I want to feel bad for you but Hawaii!! Really?! Nope! Just kidding! Potlucks are so fun, every one brings something so different! Hope you get to make at least a few fall like dishes!
YUM! Those recipes look so good… now I’m even more psyched for fall. 🙂 I’ve been trying to think up some good, healthy yet inexpensive ideas for lunch that don’t always involved leftovers. Thank you!
Thank you, fall is perfect for trying new recipes! You are very welcome! Hopefully I added a little bit of inspiration!
