Happy Monday!! This weekend flew by. Don’t they all though. It was rainy almost all of Sunday so it was pretty laid back and lazy but that made it nice since the night was full. Hope everyone had a nice weekend.
Friday was our early release and we headed back to Margarita’s, a few more people joined us this time and we had a bunch of laughs. Day drinking completely knocks me out though so Friday night was a wash.
Saturday morning I finished the book The Promise of Stardust, and it started off a little slow but the end, I bawled. So good and well written. Left you thinking so many things from so many angles. Go pick it up right away!!
I went for a hike, and it was the best form of therapy. The sounds of the birds chirping and the stillness just always calms me.
I finally vacuumed out my car, it’s been on my to-do list for like 3-4 weeks.
I binged watched a few episodes of Suits. Why did no-one push me to watch this show before now??? So good, and Harvey’s smile…swoon!!
Sunday was a rainy morning so it was reading and more Suits. I also got some cleaning done and grocery shopping.
I had a party at my Aunt’s house from my cousin who was up from Florida to introduce us to her new baby. It was also her birthday tomorrow today and another cousin’s birthday so we celebrated that as well. Got to see my nieces too which is always fun. My Dad was there too so I got to spend some time with him.
Sunday night it was time for the second season of True Detective with Vince Vaughn, Colin Farrell and Taylor Kitch. You know I wasn’t missing that show. Good lordy those boys are hot.

lol i’m the same with day drinking. i can’t hang. glad you got some time with family! i really liked the season premiere of TD! i think it will be a good one.
It makes me so sleepy! I am excited to see how the Season goes, I love all the main characters though I am a little lost of some of the storyline.
Sounds like you got the rain we were supposed to get during the day. We had rain Saturday night late and a nice Sunday! My sister lives in the mountains and walks in nature every day!! It’s divine, literally, for her.

I don’t think we had any rain this weekend, it was supposed to hit us last night and still nothing. Looks like a great weekend spent with Family. I love that you guys get out early and your office gets together for drinks. We’ve done that when they let us off early, but it’s not often enough! Definitely added that book to my TBR.
It is nice since this is the first year. It totally makes me sleepy though so the rest of the day nothing gets done! ha!

It was beautiful, perfect weather. I was hoping to go again on Sunday but nope. Ha! I can’t believe I waited this long, it wasn’t on Netflix and I can’t stream Amazon Prime on my TV so that is probably why, but it’s SOOOO good. Happy Monday!

The weather was perfect for a hike! They are so nice and so good to finally get to go out after work with friends.
We had free HBO this weekend so Andrew was watching True Detective and Taylor Kitsch was nearly unrecognizable without the scruff and long hair! The Promise of Stardust is available at my library but I just started that Mischief Bay book so it will have to wait, though I’m not really feeling Mischief Bay too much. I don’t think it’s very well-written, so if something exciting doesn’t happen soon, I’m moving on.
I totally bought HBO just for True Detective. I miss Taylor’s longer hair but he’s still fine. I liked Mischief Bay but I know sometimes they don’t always speak to you, Promise of Stardust is much deeper of a book.
Love True Detective!! I still don’t know how I feel about this season yet…we will see as the plot unfolds. I think I just loved the first season so much, it’ll be hard to compare it too lol.

There is nothing better than being in the middle of nowhere/nature. I was thinking that last night when I was laying in my parents’ yard. (I grew up on a dirt road that has exactly 3 houses on it.) I just feel like breathing is easier there than it is when I’m back in TX in the city. I definitely wasn’t made for city life.
It is so peaceful and you really get more clear thinking done. Beats the city any day of the week!!
Hiking sounds like a great form of therapy. Florida is way to flat and hot for that unfortunately!!

Really!! I liked last season but I like so many more of the cast members this year. The first episode was really good.

I spend so much of the warm weather hiking. It’s great exercise but I don’t feel like I’m working out.
Day drinking can be exhausting for sure!!! I will have to check out that book, sounds good. I have had vacuuming my car on the list for longer than 3-4 weeks. Try like 2 months. Yikes!!! Have a great week!

That is too hot. It’s not that bad here only 85 degrees. Fall is really nice for hiking.

I have not watched a television series in ages. So, I watched the premiere of True Detective. Man, those are some effed up characters!
