You may have heard that Taste of Tuesday is on hiatus, but have no fear I will be still be posting recipes. I have a list a mile long of everything I want to make so consider yourself warned! Haha! In other news we are supposed to get – inches of snow today so I will be keeping this short so I can get some work done and hopefully only work a half day.
Ingredients: 1/2 Cup Chunky Taco Sauce ~ 1/4 Cup Dijon mustard ~ 1 TBSP Hot Sauce ~1 TSP crushed garlic ~ 2 TBSP ~ lime juice ~ 3 Chicken Breasts ~ 2 TBSP Butter or margarine ~ Greek yogurt or sour cream (optional)
Directions: Combine Taco sauce, hot sauce, mustard, garlic and lime juice in a large bowl. Add chicken, toss to coat. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat. Remove chicken; reserve marinade. Cook chicken in skillet approximately 10 minutes until brown on both sides.
Add marinade and cook until chicken is tender; approximately 5 minutes. Remove chicken and boil marinade for 1 minute and pour over chicken. Serve.

YUM!! chicken is pretty much the only meat i eat and i need variety!! so thanks for this 🙂
I am all about variety when it comes to chicken. I eat other meats but chicken is the main one and it gets old after awhile! Love to spice it up when I can!
Okay, that looks amazing! My husband and I eat primarily paleo, so this is something we could definitely work into our diet plan. Thanks for the great recipe, girl!
Thank you! How long have you been doing Paleo? I wanted to look into that and also Gluten Free but haven’t fully committed to either. Hope you like it!
This sounds delicious! It’s so hard to find chicken recipes that aren’t like the others and I think this might be it. Can’t wait to try it!
Thank you! Yes, I eat so much chicken that I like to try new ways to make it! Hope you like it!
Mmm, this looks delicious! I love any kind of Mexican food!

It is my favorite too!! I really makes chicken a little less bland! Hope you give it a try!
Taste of Tuesday is on hiatus? I didn’t know. I will still be posting recipes but I am shifting to weekend posting of some of them.
This looks delicious! I love dijon mustard with chicken. Great idea to kick this dish up with it.
Yes, Ashley is training for a half marathon and Jessica just started a Barre Amp studio so I think life just got a little hectic for them. I know I can’t give up recipe posting since I use it as a way to try new things otherwise I eat the same old thing everyday. I love your recipe posts too I really need to freeze more meals too.
you had me at hot sauce!!!
Hot Sauce makes everything, amiright?! Haha!
I’m thinking the hubby will love this!
Hope you give it a try! It really spiced up my normal blah chicken!
Easy peasy!! I have all of this at home right now. Might have to try this later in the week. Also, I think we’re seeing some regional differences here because what you call taco sauce we call hot sauce or salsa. 🙂
Yes, the original recipe called it taco sauce and I got salsa. I don’t know if there is a difference. The book was written in 1994 so it may be an old reference. I don’t think I have ever seen “Taco sauce” in the stores. It totally could be a regional thing! Haha!
Yum! This looks so delicious and something easy I could try.
You should totally try it. It is really easy to make.
Yum! That sounds tasty!
It is really tasty and so easy to make.
Pete would LOVE this!
Get on with your bad self and get to cooking then, girl!! 😉
This looks fantastic! And easy, so I wouldn’t cry or curse while making it.
No crying or cursing needed, it is very easy! Hope you give it a try!
sometimes chicken can get boring so this looks like a great way to spice it up! yum!
Thank you. Yes chicken can be boring so I like finding new ways to prepare it!
Yummy! We eat a lot of chicken and I tend to use the same recipes over and over. Gonna have to give this a try!
Hope you like it. I always like to jazz up chicken whenever I can.
This looks good! Is it really hot though? We don’t like super spicy stuff…
It not really hot at all. I used a mild salsa and a small amount of hot sauce which cooks off a bit. You can always half the hot sauce if you like. I am not really a fan of the spice either.
This looks amazing and pretty easy! I kthink I can even do this!
Thank you. I really is easy. You can totally do it!!
I love anything chicken so I will definitely be trying this! God I love your recipes, come see me and cook for me!
Haha!! It is warm there so I may just be packing my bags!
i’m so hungry seeing these and it’s only 630 am! hehe
Haha! Well glad i could make you hungry. Sorry it isn’t closer to lunch time! 😉
This sounds delicious! And as long as I’m careful about the hot sauce and taco sauce brands I use, it’s actually GF. Double yay! haha.
Thank you! Yes, I am sure than are some GF versions. Hope you like it!
