I am so excited to be heading to the Cape for the Labor Day weekend!! Having a few snacks to munch on are essential because getting up from our lounge chairs when not necessary are frowned upon. Just kidding but really don’t get up. The old saying goes, move your feet lose your seat applies. So I am tasked to bring the dessert but wanted to bring a snack too. This was inspired by this pin from Pinterest but I ended up making my own mix. This is a plain pick and dump recipe. We have some allergies to nuts so those are not included but a great way to add some protein and healthy fats so feel free to add some to your mix.
Ingredients: Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal ~ Pretzel Sticks ~ Goldfish in Cheddar and Parmesan Cheese ~ Raisins ~ Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Directions: Place each ingredient in a bowl and mix. Yup that is it! You really can add anything you want to this mix so have fun and add away!
What would you put in your snack mix?
I still haven’t decided what I am bringing for dessert so feel free to list ideas in the comments!

So I’ve never made my own chex mix… weird, I know. I need to try it out! Thanks for linking up with us!

It is the perfect quick grab and go snack! No more picking through the things you don’t like, you just add what you like. Easy peasy!

I’m not the hugest fan of any kind of snack mix. Weird, right?
Kerry says
So weird!! Just kidding! The thing I like is you can add anything you want!! Cheeze-Its, Chocolate covered peanuts, mini reese cups, Bugles, Candy Corn, popcorn! Pretty much anything you normally snack on, just throw it all together for one yummy mix!

Thanks! I figured it was perfect to get everyone in between snacks and we have a ton of people going so it’s easy to make in big batches!

Kerry says
Yes, M&M’s are a must!! My best friend who will be there loves them. Yes, Cape Cod Mass. I forget I have readers from all over. 🙂

i love trail mix from costco but i end up picking out and eating only the yogurt globs LOL
how about some chocolate cupcakes? everyone loves cupcakes 🙂
Kerry says
That is why making your own is so much better. I usually eat around the pretzel stuff so I would leave it out for me. Hmmm cupcakes might be good. Feeling so uninspired. 🙁
