I think this weekend was just what I needed. While I still need to get some things in order, it was good progress. I am six days away from vacation so it is looking up. I did miss a birthday party I really wanted to go to but the heartburn and stomach cramping was really bothering me. I feel like I do have a plan and momentum so I am feeling somewhat normal again. Here was some of my weekend…
+ Saturday I headed to the library to pick up another book for one of my challenges. I’ll need books while on vacation. We talk a lot so I don’t read as much but I do get up before everyone so it helps.
+ I went to this park by my house and one square around is a little over a mile and I got in 4 rounds walking/running.
+ I got some yard work done and mowed the lawn, such a good workout. My lawn is finally green again after being all dirt from Winter.
+ Saturday night I was not feeling well so I decided to stay home. The heartburn is the worst of it lately. So I went to Redbox and I got Duff and American Sniper. The book was really good but the movie was terrible. It strayed so far from the book it was ridiculous, just terrible.
+Sunday I finished a book in the morning. It was just ok. After grocery shopping I went to Target for some new towels and other essentials then to Old Navy. I was in need of some new tank tops and workout gear. Total score. Then I hit the park again for just over 3 miles.
+ Getting back on track with my health/fitness I made some Almond Flour pancakes.
How was your weekend?

hope you’re feeling better! i wonder what’s causing the tummy issues?
It is totally stress related. I am trying to drink more water and starting to eat better which should help.

Awesome exercise and healing lights to the heartburn, etc.
You are back on track and have vacation to look forward to! Life is good!
Have a happy, easy week!
Love, SMD’s Momma
Thank you. I am so looking forward to vacation!!
so glad this weekend was just what you needed, and yay 6 days away from vacation! i’m sorry about the heartburn and stomach cramps though 🙁
i didn’t mind the duff movie, it was okay, but it was nowhere near as good as the book and i don’t know why they changed as much as they did.
I am so excited much needed! I think because I watched it so close to finishing it I was just so disappointing at how different it was and it downplayed the seriousness from the book. Had I only watched the movie it might not have been so bad. I was like not even the same story, night and day.
I saw a few weeks ago the last snow pile from winter had finally melted lol glad your grass and lawn is pretty and making you proud this summer lol! I love your haul this weekend – so many great new pieces to wear! xo, Biana
No way, that is crazy it’s still around. It was much needed all my tanks were getting worn out. I love new workout gear.
Sorry to hear that you weren’t feeling well. Heartburn can be so painful. You know that stress and anxiety can bring i on. I use to get it so bad that I had to go on medication to help it. When I get a flare up, I try to eat bland foods and go for a walk everyday. That seems to help. And they tell you to stay away from coffee which is really hard for me to do. Feel better. Love your new goodies from Old Navy.
It was so painful. It is totally stress related. I am not sure I can give up coffee!! I really am working on eating better, working out and drinking lots of water again. I think that will help. Old Navy is killing it lately.
I’m glad your weekend recharged you some and yayyy for vacation, that’s just what you need!
It helped put me in the right direction. I am so excited for vacation, it’s much needed and family time is the best!
Duff was bad or American Sniper was bad? Or both? Sorry you weren’t feeling great but yay for rest! Where are you going for vacation?
The movie Duff was so very bad, the book was so much better. They changed so much. American Sniper was so good and I think it was done well. I am heading up to Maine for lots of sunsets and family time.

Love that you had a good weekend. For the record, I did Jose Cuevo this weekend too and not even because of tequila day…. hehe
Haha! Jose Cuervo is good on any day really! 😉

Sounds like it was a great weekend to get back on track and relax yet still be productive….hope you feel better today! I used to get heart burn all the time but it’s been good these days.
It was good, it got me a little bit back on track. Heartburn is the worst but I am hoping it gets better now that I am getting back to eating healthy, working out and drinking more water.

Oh boo – that’s disappointing about the movie not being good.
The bikes are adorable. I expect you to ride with a baguette & flowers in a front basket 🙂
I think because the book was much better it was such a letdown. They totally look like they belong in Paris, on a cobblestone road.
Your vacation is getting so close!!! I always forget about Old Navy when I am looking for workout gear. I have one top from there that I love…I need to check out some more. So sorry you haven’t been feeling well…stomach issues and heartburn are just the worst! I hope you get some relief!
I am so excited. They had some awesome long sleeve zip up jackets which were really nice. I am getting there, thank you.
Wow, you did a lot of steps. Awesome.
American Sniper made me cry. A lot.
It was so good but so tragic too. I can feel it in my legs today, for sure a lot of running around. Ha!

The Duff is my new favorite right now! Love that movie!!
Did you read the book? It was so different.
Sorry to hear you weren’t feeling well this weekend 🙁 I’ve been wanting to rent The Duff but now maybe I won’t based on what you said!
I would stick with the book. Though watching the movie first might be better because the book was so much better and different.

I didn’t like the movie either! Maybe I’ll read the book!
The book was so much better. A lot deeper and emotional.

I hope you’re feeling better! Great job with the steps!! What did you think of Duff? I haven’t seen it yet & always debate it when I’m at Redbox.
I really liked the book but the movie was a let down. I don’t think it would be so bad if you haven’t read the book though.

Looks like a really productive weekend ~ that’s fantastic! I’ve said it before; I’ll say it again…the smile on Seamus’s face is too adorable.
It was a good weekend! Thank you. He always gets me to smile with that face!

That marg did not help the heartburn I’m sure. Try prilosec.
But it was good. I haven’t had heartburn all day today. Fingers crossed.
Having a vacation coming up sounds wonderful! That’s disappointing that the American Sniper movie was so far from the book.
The American Sniper was really good, it was Duff that was terrible and so very different from the book.
Kate @ Green Fashionista says
The perfect summer weekend! Where are you headed on vacay gurlie?
We are going up to Maine by Camden and Rockport. So excited.
