Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!This weekend was too short but I still got a lot of things done. I spent a little bit much on shopping but I really needed new Spring clothes. So here is how I spent my weekend.
Saturday: I spent some time cleaning up around the house before heading out on a shopping extravaganza!!! I headed out to The Vitamin Shoppe for my Protein powder and quest bars. Then I headed to Kohl’s and Target to get some birthday presents. Then I headed out for a hike.
I was in the 50’s so it was gorgeous out however snow was still on the ground. A few areas were icy but a lot was melted so it just added resistance. I forgot to wear my polar but I did have my fitbit on, here is the before steps and after.
After hiking I headed over to Old Navy because they were having a sale for trying on pants. Sad thing is I didn’t like any of their pants. I think my store is just really small so selection was not great. I still did some serious damage.
Yes, that is 3 tank tops, 4 tops, 1 lightweight sweatshirt, 1 dress, 1 pair of flats, and hair ties but NO PANTS!!! I did have a $15 dollar off coupon and used my tax refund to support this spree.
When I got home the mail was delivered and I got my Ipsy package. I love the NYC eyeshadow, though not sure about the glitter one. The blue eyeliner I will totally use, and the primer I will give a shot though I don’t normally use a primer. I tend to be a gloss person over lipstick so more than likely I won’t use the lipstick. Overall not bad, 3 out of 4 I will use.
I took Seamus for a walk and bumped into an old friend from the gym and we made plans to hang out. It was so good to run into her and catch up for a bit. The rest of the night was spent reading and cleaning.
Sunday: I woke up at 6am so I read for a little bit before breakfast and cleaned a bit more. I then fell asleep from 8:30-9:30am. I then had to get ready for a birthday party for one of my nieces. After getting ready I rushed off to go grocery shopping then left for the party. It was at a gym and they got to run around and jump in a foam pit and climb the rock wall. She turned 5 this week, such a cutie.
I headed home after and had dinner and read for a bit then ended up falling asleep again for another hour. I am really hoping I am not getting sick. Way to much happening in the next few weeks to be down for the count so loading up on vitamins. The night was capped off with the Walking Dead and blogging.

Loving your Old Navy haul, they have a pair of shorts I’m trying not to spend money on. Pretty sure I’m going to fail miserably.
It is so hard since everything is so reasonably priced. Plus the snipsnap app gave me a $15 off coupon.

It was a great weekend! I was sad i left my Polar at home but the Fitbit stats at least showed me how much I hiked. I went a little crazy in there but everything was so cute! I may be a little excited for spring.
I like so much of what you got at Old Navy and I have a credit there so I think I will have to check it out this week! What do you think about The Walking Dead? I am kind of hating it this half-season. Also, your niece’s party sounds fun – I want one like that!
They had a lot of good stuff for Spring. I am not really liking it this season and there is only 3 episodes left!! I wish I had worn socks so I could have played but they had a blast.
Do you wear self tanner? I got that in my Ipsy bag, I’ll send to you if you want it. You are so brave to hike with snow on the groud. I was leary of going hiking Saturday because the high was only 68 LMAO!!!
Haha! I do use self-tanner. I was so determined to get out for a hike, i have been missing it so much! It was only in the high 40’s and low 50’s when I was hiking but I didn’t care! It was so nice just to be outdoors.
every time i go to old navy, it’s always bananas there. you’d think that it was boxing day by the way the store looked so i legit walked right out! ain’t nobody got time to sift through shit all lying on the floor!
That is crazy, i wouldn’t want to shop there if it was that busy either!! Mine is a smaller store, so it is never that busy which is great.
Great Old Navy haul! I’m waiting for a delivery from there. And I want to order pants from The Gap today. Planning another no spend month in April so I need to get my spring clothes now!
I wanted it all until I looked at my haul and was like i need to get out of here!! Haha!! I am done spending for awhile too. So many birthdays coming up i need to shop for so I am done for awhile.
Old Navy is so hit or miss for me. I either find tons of things I want, or not one single thing…looks like you still did well 🙂
It is the same way for me, sometimes I score big and other times I walk out with nothing. This was a good trip! 😉
Very nice hike! I like seeing on the treadmill calories burned and distance. Just SHOVELED/cleared snow AGAIN. Ugh, I want it all to melt today. Not a ton of snow, but enough for me to clear. Very nice to send my Stephanie a birthday package. Love protein powder, too. Easy way to get protein in and very versatile. Nice shopping spree, too. On the makeup- I do like the primer. I tried a sample I received. Love glittery stuff, too- I feel like a 4 yr old! Have a wonderful week.

It helps when you can see the numbers so you know to push harder or not. I can’t believe you got more snow! Hopefully this week is warm enough to melt it all. I was glad to send her something, she deserved it. It was nice getting a few new Spring pieces to liven up the wardrobe. My sis and I went to Old Navy this weekend, too! Neither of us found anything though. I had seen some cute stuff online but couldn’t find it in the store… I think maybe it was an “online exclusive” kinda thing.
That Ipsy bag looks awesome! I think the only thing I wouldn’t like would be the blue eyeliner. WIN!
What, you didn’t find anything?! I must have bought it all first! 😉 Haha! It is funny because I actually like blue eyeliner, it really can make my brown eyes pop. I use it only on occasion though.
I feel like that always happens to me in Old Navy too. I can never find what I’m looking for, but I find a hundred things I just HAVE to have!

It was a really good shopping trip for sure. It was in the low 50’s so it was warmer than normal here but it was still a bit icy and snowy.

Thanks! They are really comfortable too! Ugh yes I stopped spending for like 6 months before I bought my house and then after it was all house spending. It was all so tempting though.

It sounds like you had a good weekend! I love the hair ties you got a Old Navy – seriously my favorite kind of hair tie! I don’t wear primer very often, but I love it for special occasions.
Thank you! Yes they are the best kinda hair ties. They don’t have as much elastic give as I would have thought though. I think the primer would be perfect for special occasions, my every day morning routine is much more simple.

That sounds like a fun bday party! Before I hurt my back on Sat I went to Banana, Loft and Sephora and did some major damage by accident. I got 3 dresses and maybe just maybe the Naked 3 eye shadow jumped in my bag!

I didn’t like any of the pants but I sure made up for it!! I don’t like trying on clothes though so if I did find any I liked I would have just stood in the changing room for a minute then walked out. Haha!

My ipsy bag was different – I like yours better! I did get lipstick that looks to be the same color. I don’t like medium pinks usually but I mixed it with another color and was surprised that it lasted for hours!

Haha! It was a good workout and i was just so happy to be outside. It is actually Navy with little stars. I think the lipstick was a weird color for me but maybe adding a pink gloss or something over it might salvage it. Overall a good bag though.
