This weekend was so lazy and I couldn’t be more happy about it. I really needed it, and it really helped me feel a little more ready for this coming week. Though I didn’t open my laptop until really late on Monday night so I have some catching up to do again. When will I learn. Oh well. Let me tell you the bullet points of my weekend since I don’t want to bore you too much.
Thursday: I went over to Maddie’s in-laws to wish her well for her trip to Italy. I also am guest posting over at her blog today with my Bacon Bourbon Apple Fritters with Bourbon Sugar Glaze so go check it out.
Friday: After work I headed over to the Natick Mall and even though I went to 8 stores I only ended up with $8 of glasses from Crate and Barrel. Total shopping fail. I did get a cake made of flowers from my Mom with Chocolates and a gift from Amanda. Everything she picked was so perfect and thoughtful.
Sunday: I pretty much didn’t leave my house but to take Seamus for a walk. All other moments were spent reading, doing laundry, and taking naps. Yes, plural as in two naps.
Monday: I spent more time reading. Did I mention I have like 18 ebooks on my downloaded list. Yeah lots to catch up on. So I at least finished 3 this weekend. Then I worked on cleaning and organizing my office. I tossed a large trash bag of stuff out. I very rarely get sick so I went through my medicine bucket and threw a lot of expired stuff. I also came across my old triathlon bibs. So nostalgic.
The rest of the night was all about playing catch up while watching the Bachelor Pad.

I went through a medicine basket purge a few weeks ago and it left me wondering why I bought half the stuff I did. And then I always get worried about the proper disposal of that stuff. And then I toss it in the trash anyway.

Lazy weekends are the best as you know is always my opinion!

That orange chicken made my stomach growl! I hate having to throw out expired stuff!!! I try not to think about how much money is being wasted 🙁 I cleaned out my cabinets a few months ago and had a similar pile. I guess it was good you didn’t need to use that stuff.

I miss them already! It was so relaxing and so very much needed! They had so many really great sounding cheesecakes, like a snickers one but I held strong. I am totally eating broccoli today though.

Sounds like a good weekend to me! We were pretty lazy too, but then decided to get all motivated and go to the state fair yesterday which has totally knocked me on my butt today. I think all that sun and fried food just did me in 🙂
Lazy weekends are the best. I didn’t realize you lived in MN. My Mom, Sister, niece and nephew live there. Sun and fried food will get you every time. Bring on the naps!

Sounds like a nice weekend. Not too much, not too little, and a birthday thrown in there. Always nice to have your birthday off! We had a very nice time, soccer game in NY, plenty of pool time, nice visit from Sean, a rainbow on Sunday night!

Your birthday looks like it was really good. The American Girl Doll Place is crazy. It’s got so much more stuff than it ever had when I was a kid.
It is so cute and they are pop up cards that have sweet sayings in them. Perfect for rough days. It was so good. That place was crazy, it was huge and expensive.
