Is it just me or is this week dragging on? It could be because the snow, the countdown to Christmas, getting P90X3 in the mail yesterday, my excitement to finally see Maddie from The Whimsy One again on Monday or all of the above. Either way let’s hope these days pick up the pace!
Lindsey over at The Crafty Practitioner sent me a blog award
The Rules:
- Thank the one that nominated you. Thank you, Lindsey!!
- Put up the picture for the One Lovely Blog Award.
- Tell everyone seven things about yourself.
- Nominate seven other people and tell them you have nominated them!
7 Things About Me:
1. I once played the flute in Elementary school but the teacher kept mashing my hands trying to “teach” me so I quit.
2. I chipped my front tooth in High School when my dog Sparky jumped up as I was bending down to grab her ball.
2. I chipped my front tooth in High School when my dog Sparky jumped up as I was bending down to grab her ball.
3. I got straight A’s in Junior High and then I got moved to Honors level classes. I am a closet nerd! 🙂
4. If I could afford it I would always be in school but just for fun not for another degree. I love learning new things. My recent cake decorating class has me hooked. Waiting for the spring catalog to come out to see what they will offer.
5. I really can’t stand the laser hair removal commercial on the radio. Especially since they have the guys doing it, like I really want my man without hair on his legs, arms or chest. I’d like a real ma, thank you very much!
6. My parents divorced when I was young and I was raised by my Dad. I am so grateful for all he gave up to raise us. I know it wasn’t easy.7. I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up!
I nominate:
- Amanda @ Voyage of the MeeMee
- Stacia @ The Homey Owl
- Renee @ So Fill Your Heart
- Kim @ Racing Bananas
- Liz @ Fitness Blondie
- Jessica @ Wonder What’s Next
- Maddie @ The Whimsy One
Whew, that gets tougher and tougher every time! I really am not that interesting folks! It takes me forever to come up with facts about myself. Though I can talk about nothing forever and a day! Hope you all have a great day! Let the countdown begin!

This week is so slow, ugh! And I can’t wait to see what interesting class you take next!
Kerry says
It is really dragging. I can’t wait to see what they offer. The catalog doesn’t goes out until January 17th.
SMD @ Life According to Steph says
I can never do these because I feel like there’s really not much that I haven’t shared. LOL
Kerry says
I know right? I was struggling to come up with something new. I always feel bad not doing them though.
Jessica says

Amanda says
I love learning, too!!! I’m the same way… I would totally go to college forever if money weren’t an object. I also played the flute! haha
Kerry says
Haha!!! That is awesome! I know i liked you for a reason! Smart girls, forever! The flute would have been awesome if not for the teacher from hell. Did you play long?
Angi Solle says

Kerry says

kathy @ vodka and soda says
blah, i’m SO GLAD school is over. i thought about going back to get my MBA but then all the school work and assignments and group work and i was like, FORGET THAT NOISE.
Kerry says
See I was the same way. i wanted to go back for a nursing degree but then I was like I don’t want to take classes I don’t want to take and being in school for 2 years. I just want to take random classes that interest me, like cake decorating, and bread making, or maybe an computer repair class. You know random stuff that I can actually use.
Jodi says
I took a cake decorating class when I lived in CA and it was so fun. It is a good hobby but I’m way too lazy to go to all the trouble. Haha.
Kerry says
It is a lot of fun! It can be a lot of work! I like that I can always pull it out and do it, should there be a party or event you want to take something special!
Amanda says
Closet nerds unite! 🙂
Kerry says
Yeah!! United we stand!! 🙂
Maddie says
I cannot wait till monday! Flute nerds, rise on up;) and thanks for my award!
Kerry says
I am so excited!! Can’t wait! Woohoo another flute nerd! You are so very welcome! 🙂
Janna says
Similar to your flute story, I was a diver in High school, but my coach made me practice one dive so much that my back was raw, so I quit! They need to learn that that is not the right way to go about teaching!
Kerry says
I wish they would realize too that they can make someone love something or hate something based on the way they teach.
mrsthaywood says
Your cake came out really great and Close Nerds are the best 😉
Kerry says
Thank you. It took a lot of practice, and I still need more practice but it was fun! Closet nerds unite!! 🙂
