It has been a few days since I have been back from my vacation in Maine, but I think I am still coming down. I really could wake up everyday there, with the sound of the waves, the stillness of the mornings. How many more years till my retirement?
Tomorrow I am travelling again for work so I won’t be posting much, but I will be linking up tomorrow for Show Us Your Books, with Jana and Steph so be sure and check back in for what I’ve been reading. I am almost done with both book challenges.
Maine is all about just sitting around the yard with family, reading, talking and just being with family. We walk the beaches everyday, I ended up with a full pail of white stones and shells. It’s an addiction of mine. We head into town for ice cream or some shopping but still make time for afternoon naps. Each person makes a dinner for one of the nights.
Well then lets get to it since it is going to be pretty picture heavy.

After such a horrible Winter it seems we are having a brutal allergy season. With that my A/C was getting more and more dirty with pollen and other debris getting into it, and I started to see some black mold spores too so I conquered cleaning it. I clean it usually after every season but it really couldn’t wait since I have been coughing for the last two weeks. Winner, winner!

How was your weekend?
Linking up with Biana from B Loved Boston.
oh maine – one of the places on my list of places to visit. my sister goes every year but she always goes during a time when we can’t go with her!! those pictures are divine.
i hate cleaning out stuff like the ac/windows/basically anything where a lot of debris/build-up of crap can happen. once a year i have to clean my window sills from the months-long condensation buildup during the winter..it’s my worst chore!! glad you were able to clear your ac of all that junk!
It is so beautiful there and such a slower relaxed lifestyle. It is such a chore and I hate it but I am breathing easier at least!
Beautiful pictures. I am an avid sheller and stoner (lol) whenever I get the chance. Lovely finds. Have an easy week !
Love, SMD’s Momma
Thank you! I love having the mementos too.
Looks like such a great, relaxing family weekend! Loving that outdoor chapel, looks so peaceful. Good for you getting that AC taken care of, hope you get to feeling better with the coughs, no bueno. Have a great week!
It was really nice and we had a picnic there as well. I slept so much better last night with it all cleaned out.
Maine looks stunning! I would be eager to get back there, too. And go you for conquering that deep cleaning!
Maine is so beautiful, I would love to retire there one day.
What beautiful photos!! The beaches look stunning – as does your ice cream cone. So glad you were able to get away and just relax.
It is so nice to wake to the sound of the ocean. It was so peaceful. It was perfect, thank you.
I love vacation posts, pictures are my favorite. The no signs sign rocks!
Isn’t it hilarious. I guess they didn’t mean that sign! 😉
Looks like an amazing time…great memories thanks for sharing!
Such a good time, just nice to be around family!

It was so nice, I wish I was still there. Just a few decades more. Haha!

It was so nice to watch the sunrise with the sound of the waves. Fingers crossed!
Don’t you get so disgusted when you pull certain things out to clean them sometimes?! This happened with me behind the dryer not too long ago. I could’ve knit a sweater out of all the dust that was back there!
Ugh! yes, exactly. It is those things we forget about but can make a huge difference when they are clean.
Maine is on my travel bucket list, and these pictures prove why. I think we might have to out it on our radar for next summer.
Welcome back!
You should it is so beautiful there. So many great places to see there.
what gorgeous pictures! i can see why you want to wake up every morning there 😉
i had no idea you could / should clean your air conditioner! woah. i should tell my husband lol.
It was so amazing. Yeah it is so important to clean it every year or two, it gets so dirty.

Something I love about the land of bloggerville – I get to travel to places that I’ve never been…like Maine. Thanks for sharing. It looks like a terribly relaxing time. Actually, i don’t know why I used the term “terribly” because it doesn’t look terrible at all! Looking forward to seeing what you’ve been reading!
It is my favorite destination spot. I like how slow the pace is and the scenery is just gorgeous.
