Happy Monday! Aside from not getting nearly enough sleep and no naps it was a really productive weekend. My plan for this weekend was to get a lot of stuff done that I have been putting off due to being really busy the last month and to plan out a few things for this ol’ blog of mine! With one year under my belt there is a lot I have learned and a lot I want to do differently this year. Planning more is on the top of the list.
So this weekend I put together even more recipes that I want to make this year. I worked on thinking up some more Random of Acts of Kindness that I want to do, creating a little note card to be given out while doing the act. Needless to say I was a busy bee and didn’t take a lot of pictures, but here is what I did document and what I was up to.
Saturday: I woke up with some new coffee, the Hot Buttered Rum flavor was SO SO DELICIOUS!! I think it may be my new favorite. Then I did some laundry, cleaned both bathrooms, and vacuumed upstairs. With that done I sat down to do some blogging work including catching up on some blog reading and having a quick Google Hangout chat with Stephanie from Not Entirely Perfect, Stacia from The Homey Owl and Betsy from Musings of a Museum Fanatic. It was a lot of fun just getting to chat with them for a bit and Seamus got to see his girlfriend Hawkeye.
I also got T25 in the mail which I am so exciting to be starting today in conjunction with doing P90X3.
After I headed out to Lowe’s to pick up some filters for my humidifier, Brita, and oil furnace. Yes on a Saturday, in my Sweatpants in the middle of the rain. I was also asked to knit a Mom and Daughter hat so I got started on knitting it up. I had to re-do it twice before noticing there was an error in the pattern and had to fix it. Fun time. Yes I am an old lady!
Sunday: Seamus woke me up at 5:15 am and even though I tried to fall back asleep on the couch it wasn’t working so I just got up had some coffee and read my book for awhile, then switched to knitting. I made one of my recipes on my handy dandy new list and this smoothie was delish! Recipes is coming! I worked on some more chores around the house, went grocery shopping and more blogging stuff. Seamus also decided to show me just how hungry he was after finishing off his bowl of food. Seriously is he not just adorable!! Melts my heart.
It wasn’t the most thrilling weekends but it felt very productive. I have plans the next two weekends so it was good to feel accomplished!
How was your weekend?

SMD @ Life According to Steph says
I love weekends where I can just putter around and get things done.
Cheers to a fulfilling and productive year!
I spent part of my time figuring out which weekend I’ll be in Boston in late spring. I’ll keep you updated!
Kerry says
Yes, I got so much done. It was exhausting but in a good way! Woohoo! Can’t wait!
Mandy says
Sounds like a productive weekend! I think we need to make a date and you can teach me how to knit 😉
Kerry says
You got it!! It’s not as tough as it seems just lots of practice. I love knittinghelp.com for her video tutorials too.
Liz @ Fitness Blondie says
I can’t wait to see how you do on the P90X3!
Kerry says
I am loving it so far, but I am interested to see what the results will be.
Helene says
i did not get enough sleep either, no ok with me at alL! but yay for some new recipes!
Kerry says
It is the worst. I am excited to make them all too!
Jessica says
I need to plan better too. Last night I stared at my computer like uuuhhh what do I write about?? Can’t wait to hear how you like T25!!
Kerry says
I am always scrambling to edit pictures, and proofread or write the whole post. It is horrible. I so need to write drafts in advance. I will let you know. Tonight was the first one and I wasn’t impressed, hoping it gets better.
Stephanie says
I LOVED seeing Seamus!! He is freaking adorable! Hawkeye was just staring at the wall when he barked, she could not figure out where it was coming from. She thought there was a dog in the apartment next door.
Kerry says
Haha! Seamus wasn’t sure what to look at either, but he loves shaking his tail to all the praise! 🙂
Melissa @ Loving Life Moore says
You had a crazy productive weekend! I totally agree though…it’s the WORST when pets wake you and you can’t fall back asleep!
Kerry says
I felt so good getting things done! It is so tough when it is the middle of the night.
Leeann @ Join the Gossip says
Ugh my dog felt the need to wake me up twice last night! Torture lol!
Here’s to a great week ahead 🙂
Kerry says
Isn’t horrible. Seamus woke me up at like 3:25 am and I had such a hard time getting back to sleep. It’s a good thing their cute!
Kate @ Another Clean Slate says
Can’t believe you are doing P90x and T25! Holy motivation!!
Kerry says
I may just be crazy but we shall see. I may switch out T25 for running every other day. I didn’t burn as much as i was hoping the first day.
Angi Solle says
Sounds like a productive, but relaxing weekend. Exactly the kind of weekend I like! I want a dog so badly, I wouldn’t even care if he woke me up all the time, ha!
Kerry says
It was perfect, and I really needed it. I am trying to talk myself out of getting another one but it is getting harder and harder to resist. It is frustrating for 3:25am wake-up calls but he is just so adorable I can’t be mad at him at all!
Maddie says
basically after reading this, I have discovered I am so lazy. hahaha
Kerry says
Haha!! Not at all. I just have to cram everything into the weekend since the weekdays are basically work, working out, and blogging stuff.
Detroit Duchess says
I can’t wait to hear more about your Random Acts of Kindness. I want to add something like that to my Be the Best You in 2014 series.
Kerry says
I am really excited to be doing them. You really should. I think just giving back is good for the soul!
Erin says
seamus too early!!! but it sounds like a super productive weekend!! they are my fave kind!!
Kerry says
I really needs to learn to tell time! Haha! It was so productive and made me feel like I could conquer the week!
Lauren says
Yay for being productive! And blog planning. I was exhausted last night and so happy that I had a blog post in my drafts for today. It’s totally okay to have a quiet weekend sometimes!
Kerry says
Yes, I really need to have more drafts ready to go. I am usually always working on it the night before so that is a big goal of mine for this year!
Amanda says
Sometimes “old lady” weekends are my favorite! I can’t stand having to go go go constantly. Our fall was INSANELY busy. I almost lost my damn mind.
Kerry says
They really are the best! My weekdays are so crazy it is nice to veg out on the weekends! The next two weekends are going to be busy so I figured I would enjoy it!
Stacia says
It was great to chat with you girls for just a little bit this weekend! It sounds like you got a ton of stuff done towards your goals – which can be worth sacrificing sleep for. I hope you’ve caught up a bit from waking up at 5! Maximus woke me up at 4 this morning, so I think I’m about to head to bed. haha
Kerry says
It was very productive! I am trying to catch up with sleep a little bit everyday. Hope Maximus is letting you get some rest too!
