Well my favorite holiday has come and gone. I am a little sad, but there is always next year right? The weekend was filled with rainy days which turned to snow for a few hours on Sunday but luckily it didn’t accumulate to anything on the ground. This meant a pretty mellow and quiet weekend which really wasn’t a bad thing. I did buy some wood though that didn’t get to be stained so that was a bummer.
Friday was Halloween and I went to work for a half day, dressed as the Bride of Frankenstein. After stopping home to grab Seamus, I went to my Dad’s to do the tradition of decorating his house and passing out the candy. My brother brought my nieces over early to get candy and to see them in costume. The older one hates to get her picture taken and is almost never serious but it is fun for the outtakes.

Saturday I ran a bunch of errands, including stopping at the library to pickup some books for the Winter Book Challenge. I also went to Lowe’s to pickup some wood for a few projects and then it started to pour. Obviously I wasn’t going to be able to stain outside so the project got scraped for the day and I headed back down to my Dad’s to try and fix his storm door. The screws were stripped so I couldn’t finish the job since he doesn’t really have tools so it was back home, 3 hours later. I ended up spending the night finishing my recent book and just taking it easy since it was still raining and really windy. Seamus decided he wanted to snuggle but he doesn’t really get the concept of personal space.

How was your weekend?
Did you get any snow?

I love his sideways tongue smile…so cute! Your tv room looks so cozy with the candles. It was a perfect day…weekend…for that. I was inside most of yesterday, and honestly, wasn’t ready to see snow. So I never looked. 😉 Have a great week!
It was the perfect weekend for snuggling up with candles and not moving. You made the right choice by not looking. It is way to early for that kinda weather.
I love that we were watching the same Hallmark movie!!! Sounds like the perfect weekend and your make-up was amazing for Halloween!! Seamus is just the cutest – the faces he makes just make me smile LOL!! Happy Monday!
They had me entranced all day!! I really wanted to get a few projects done but it really was a much needed relaxing weekend. Thank you, he does make the cutest faces.
I love Sixteen Candles. My kind of movie, not real sad and hilarious. Long Duck Dong is a riot!
Thank God we had no snow but a wind chill factor making it feel like 32 yesterday and torrents
of rain on Saturday. I am glad I am no further north than I am. Weather is crazy, though, 66 on Wednesday
is in our forecast.
Have a happy, nice week.
Love, SMD’s Momma
Such a great movie! Long Duck Dong totally makes the movie hilarious! Auto-mobile! The wind and rain is bad enough. Hopefully we still have some good weather ahead of us before it gets too cold.
Love your costume! The weather this weekend was terrible. I couldn’t get over the snow yesterday!! It appears that winter has arrived.
Thank you! It was so cold and dreary but it made for a nice night in. It is too early to start this cold weather!
I love love love 16 Candles.
I’m so glad you relaxed most of Sunday!
I can’t believe it had been so long since I had seen it last. It was really nice but I was itching to get some projects done.
Your makeup looks so good!! Nice job!
Thank you. I was worried about how it was going to come out since I didn’t practice first.
No snow here but lots of cold windy weather! I can’t wait to see what project you’re whipping up this time.
It was so windy and wet. Blah. It’s too early. I am finally making that blanket rack and something for over my bed. Should hopefully come out enough to share.
Your Halloween make-up…so good!! I only saw your forehead at first, and I was all “Oh my gosh, what happened to her?!” It was a moment of panic haha…I was relieved to scroll down and see that it was a costume. And yes to Christmas movies!
Haha! OMG that is priceless but I am sure freaky! I feel like with Christmas movies being on already I am just giving up on being productive till New Years! Hehe!
Still giggling over Seamus snuggle pic. He’s too much.
And your makeup for Halloween was EPIC! I love the way you used dual tones – very cool.
The decorations at your dad’s are sick – the green webs with back light! COOLNESS!
Sixteen Candles – I know right – I lost a little bit of myself on that movie too yesterday!
He sure does have some funny faces! 😉 Thank you, it was fun getting it done. It was hard to picture but it also had glow in the dark spiders, snakes and rats on the webs. Such a good movie hard not to watch when it comes on.
16 candles + puppy snuggles sounds like a dream! UGH stripped screws are the BANE of my existence!!
It was the perfect way to spend a cold wet day! They are the worst. I got a handy dandy tool that i am going to be trying out though. Hopefully it works.
Sounds like a fun halloween tradition! Love your makeup!!
It is so much fun, I just love Halloween! Thank you.
“Started to snow” isn’t even in my vocabulary… we barely have a need for a light jacket here yet! I took Duncan out for a walk around 4:30 yesterday in knit capris and a tshirt and I was just fine…
Your makeup looked great and I’m glad you finally got some laziness in!
Rub it in why don’t ya! Hehe. It was below freezing this morning. I am not pleased! It was so nice though I really wanted to make the blanket ladder.
OMFG KErry, you looked freaking amazing on Halloween!!! I LOVE YOUR OUTFIT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you. I love dressing up for Halloween.
Could you believe that it snowed in SC on Saturday?! Not where we live on the coast, but only 10 miles inland: insane. I LOVE your costume and makeup – SO well done! And your nieces look so adorable!
No way, it snowed down there too. Craziness! Thank you. It really is my favorite and they were just so precious!
seriously your face scared the shit out of me, lol
it thankfully didnt snow here this weekend (that i’m aware of) but it’s almost there. BOO.
Haha! Then my job was done! 😉 Boo! It is way to early, I was really enjoying Fall.
Oh man your makeup is AMAZING. Wow.
Thank you! I get so excited for Halloween.
Love the costumes!
Thank you. It is my favorite holiday.
Way too early for Christmas movies. Way. Too. Early.
Sixteen Candles is an excellent reason to procrastinate.
Dogs really do need to learn the parameters of personal space. One of my dogs is not happy unless some part of him is shoved against some part of me.
Not. At. All. Haha! Some were centered around both holidays but mostly Christmas. I love them all. If it comes on you really just have to watch it.
It is even worse when they have gross food breath. He is pretty cute so I forgive him but still makes it tough to nap.
I wish I got trick or treaters. Good idea to adopt your dad’s house to use as your own. You must have scared the children with the makeup though!
I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t get trick or treaters. The kids in the neighborhood guilted me when I moved 10 years ago to staying for Halloween. Haha! There were a few terrified stares!
Your makeup looks amazing for your costume! What a great job. I haven’t mastered that talent. The girls are soooo cute and I love what you guys did with the house. So fun! I always loved going to those houses.
Books and snuggling with candles sounds pretty nice too. My weekend was pretty dang bz so it sounds even nicer since I am tired.
Thank you. It was my first attempt so I am glad it worked out. I love being able to get them excited about Halloween. It’s always more fun when people get into it. It is always so nice to get to just relax, those days come so few and far between. Hope you get some rest.
Your Halloween makeup looked really great. I hope that your weekends continue to slow down and be enjoyable for the holiday season!
Thank you. I sure hope so. I am trying to be a little more intentional with not being too busy.
Your nieces are so damn cute, I swear! I love seeing their pics!!!!
Seamus looks drunk, bahahaha!
They are mighty adorable. Must get it from me. Hehe! 😉 Seamus is a little on the loopy side most of the time.
Awesome costumes.
No snow here, just chilly.
Thank you! I was really cold, below freezing.
Perfect make-up on Friday! And i know what you mean! Cuddling up with cold weather is the best. Have a great week, friend! xo
Thank you! It really is the best way to spend it. No need going out and getting cold and wet.
you looked fantastic!! and the kiddies – adorable as always.
our halloween was crap. for the past 3 years, we’ve had crap weather and then that night, it snowed and was DAMN COLD saturday morning! #RAGE
Thank you. They are just too cute for words. That is so not fair! It makes for much less trick or treaters. 🙁
Oh the snow!! I had to stay in 🙁 I was going to go get groceries, but that was not destined to happen as I am completely unsure of how to drive in snow.
You will learn quick! 😉 It was a bummer but then again I haven’t had a lazy weekend like that in awhile even though I still did a lot around the house.
I would say you were supposed to relax this weekend. Snow already??! I definitely be going a little stir crazy.. Hope you have a wonderful week!
I think so, it’s been too long. I am not looking forward to this Winter if it is starting already. Brrr. Enjoy the week!
Loved that you went to work with that makeup on lol loved your Halloween pics 🙂 It’s my favorite holiday too. Can’t believe they’re already playing Christmas movies!! The universe was telling you to relax though 🙂
A few others dress up which is fun. It was nice to finally just sit and not move much though I ran around cleaning during some of the commercials. 😉
Sounds like a great weekend – family, some productivity and some down time to relax and get ready for a new week!!!
I felt really good going into the week. Nice to have some relaxing time.
You rocked that makeup!
Thank you! I am already planning for next year’s costume!
I love your costume and makeup! Awesome!
Thank you. I really get into Halloween!
Your costume was awesome!! I love your little nieces, they always look so cute & happy to be with you 🙂
Thank you. It was so much fun. They are so adorable and I wish I got to see them more, but the big smiles I get from them totally melts my heart.
Fun all around!! Your Halloween make up turned out great!!
Thank you. I was nervous about it but glad it worked out.
love love love your makeup!!!
Thank you it was a lot of fun!
