I was a bad blogger this weekend. I barely took any pictures. Sunday it rained all day, which led to reading all day, taking a nap and grocery shopping. It was perfectly lazy. This week is going to be a short one since I have Thursday off and Friday for the holiday. So let’s get this week started!!
Saturday after some reading and chores I met up with Emily at Trader Joe’s so we could head out for a hike. Always a blast spending time with her, and we talked non-stop. She is good people. She also came back to my house to meet Seamus. He is a charmer.
Taken from a previous hike since we didn’t take pictures
Seamus had two accidents in the house so I had to mop the floor three times. Yes, I am a little weird and obsessive. He has an appointment on Thursday but I think it’s just his wet food, I think I need to eliminate it. 🙁
Naps, reading and episodes of Suits ended out the rainy night.
Sunday it rained all day which means I read, I started and just about finished The Sea of Tranquility. I am holding out my opinion until the end. *I finished this Monday morning, go read it! I thought I would cry but it was more tragic sad. Good read.
I took a few breaks to nap, grocery shop, clean around the house and watch an amazing documentary called Requiem for the Dead: American Spring 2014. It left me in tears at some points. It’s about a Spring in 2014, and the numerous acts of gun violence across the country. It was all taken from Social media pictures, police reports and 911 calls. Very sad but moving.
How was your weekend?
Linking up with Biana from B Loved Boston.
Sounds like a carefree weekend. Healing lights to Seamus.
Ugh on the guns. No one is taking anyone’s guns – background checks are needed. Mental health history would have prevented the Va Tech massacre. Lights and love to all!!
Love, SMD’s Momma
It was so nice and relaxing. Thanks, I think he is just eating to fast and too much. Most of the people displayed mental health issues so yes reform and more checks are needed.
The weather was pretty crappy here too this weekend so I’m hoping July 4th weekend is nicer.
I’m going to add that book to my ever growing list of books to read lol. It seems interesting.
Me too, I need to get some Vitamin D after the rough Winter. Haha! I know that feeling of the ever growing list!
We had great weather this weekend, but that doesn’t mean it was outdoors for me. I had to get in the pool for the same amount of time I sat outside, it’s just too hot during the day! I’m pretty sure that book made me cry, good read. Hiking and talking sounds so fun! Have a great short week!!
I used to spend all day in the pool when i was younger. Makes reading tough but it’s good exercise too. 😉
I love nice relaxing weekends and yes Seamus is quite the charmer!
It was nice and I have a lot of books to catch up on so it was a good excuse to stay in.
Have you gotten into the new season of suits yet – I think they only aired one episode so far!!! It was so gross yesterday so I’m happy you were able to enjoy a hike on Saturday! xo, Biana
I am only on Season 2 so far but I did DVR the new Season. Trying to play catch up.
Sounds like it was a nice relaxing weekend. I worked all day yesterday but heard the weather was horrible. I couldn’t believe how cold it was. Hopefully, this week will be better weather wise. Glad you got a hike in. I just bought that book but haven’t started reading it. You would be so proud of me, I bought two books on my ipad and two books at the bookstore this weekend. I’m starting Sea of Tranquility today.
It was cold and rainy yesterday. Hoefully this weekend is better. Yeah, so awesome. Very proud of you. Hope you like it too. I finished it this morning, worth the read for sure.
yay!! so glad you liked the sea of tranquility! i binge watched suits a few months ago and then kind of fell off and stopped watching it. do i need to start again? i miss harvey 😉
It was really good, sad but I didn’t cry. Yes, the new season just started so I am trying to play catch up, only on Season 2 right now. Harvey is awesome!
I love your dream mug. Sounds like a nice & relaxing weekend.
Thanks, it’s one of my favorites. It was very relaxing!
I always feel like a bad blogger when I don’t take a lot of pics but then it is good to put down the phone sometimes. It’s a catch 22 lol
Rainy weekends make me want to stay in so nothing exciting this weekend
It is nice to not worry about every picture opportunity. The rain totally makes me want to curl up with a book and not go anywhere.
Glad you liked that book – I ADORE it … want to read again.
Poor Seamus & his accidents. Hopefully its a quick fix of changing the diet.
It was really good. I think the food is just too fatty for him.
Trader Joe’s! I love it there. I need to pop in the store when I visit Texas.
Dang rang. We got a lot of it last month.
They have so many good things there. It was non-stop rain!
it was rainy and cold ALL weekend and when i say rain, i mean heavy rain from morning till night and it finally stopped early this morning. that said, that just means more couch time with a great book!!!
Yes, that was how it was here. Just stopped this morning. I really don’t mind it though because reading and cuddles. Best kinda days!
Awe, Seamus!! Hopefully switching from the wet food will help with the issue. I have sea of tranquility on my list to read for the summer, I can’t wait to dive in! Have a great week.
I think I need to eliminate it, his tummy just can’t take it. It was a really good read.
Cute mug and famous sightings as usual! Sounds like a super relaxing weekend which is always much needed!
It was really nice. I have a 4 day weekend coming up and then a week long work trip so it was nice to just relax.
oh no, Seamus! I hope he stops having his accidents!
Me too. His poor tummy.
Hope Seamus feels better soon! My guys have accidents in the house but they’re assholes about it and I’m pretty sure they do it on purpose.
I’ve seen that documentary on HBO but haven’t watched it yet. I’m still debating if I can emotionally handle it.
He seems to be doing much better. It was good but I did get emotional at a few points.
I really want to read Sea Tranquility, need to get on that soon. And hopefully it is just his wet food:(
Yes, it was really good, grab it soon. I cut the portion in half and he seems to be doing good. Fingers crossed.
aw seamus!! i hope he is ok. when charlie has an accident he is so proud of it. i need to hike–you live near some great scenery!
He always looks so sad and guilty. There are some really great trails here. I thank my lucky stars we have so much greenery here.
Good luck with Seamus! It’s frustrating when they can’t tell you and it becomes a guessing game. Poor guy. Hope he’s better. Sounds like it was a perfect weekend for a whole lot of nothing. Hope you’re having a good week. 🙂
It’s so sad when they are sick. He’s been better though since Saturday. It was really restful and lots of reading. Perfect!
Sounds like the perfect weekend to me! I hope little puppy boy feels better soon! ps. don’t recommend books that will make me cry, you horrid woman.
He has been better, thankfully. That I am because tears were shed. Put your big girl panties on! :p
I’m about half way through sea of tranquilly and I’m obsessed!!! so so good!
Very good, you feel for both of them.
it was raining a ton here over the weekend too and i am sooooo over it. i just want it to be a sunny summer!
I know I need some Vitamin D. It has to stop raining some day right?
I know this was last weekend for you but this weekend for me was really really rainy!! I love it sometimes but ugh not this weekend!
Rainy weekends can be the best or the worst. Hope this weekend is sun and breezy!
What a wonderful weekend! That trail is beautiful! Hope Seamus hasn’t had anymore accidents. 🙂
It was such a beautiful place to workout. He has been accident free thankfully!
I’m sorry to hear about Seamus’ accidents! If it’s his wet food, at least that’s easy to eliminate!
He has been accident free for a few weeks now. I ended up halving his wet food. Thank goodness.
I’m sorry to hear about Seamus’ accidents! If it’s his wet food, at least that’s easy to eliminate!
