When I went to Christmas By The Sea in December I asked my best friends and Mom advice on my blog. What I should continue to do, what I should change, any suggestions for new posts and my friend/sister Lynn suggested a Random Acts of Kindness series. She felt it would fit in with the positivity of my blog and who I am as a person. I loved this idea and I want to bring it into the new year and not just during Christmas. So I am planning on starting a series. I am not sure if I will do this weekly or monthly but I will be sharing different Random Acts of Kindness either done by me or by others. I might even turn it into a link-up, we will see.
Here are some of the Acts I will be completing in the coming weeks and months:
1. Bring Coffee to a local Hospitals Nursing Station
2. Knit hats for Cancer Patients and Preemies
3. Pass Out bags to the Homeless or Drop Off at a shelter (bags will include toiletry items)
4. Make fleece jackets and donate to the Animal Shelter
5. Tape a few bucks to the outside of a Redbox so they can enjoy a free movie or two
6. Place rolls of quarters on top of washing machines in a laundromat
So here is where you all come in….
What Random Acts of Kindness would you perform?
I am still working on a title for the series but I came up with these 2 designs for a possible button. What do you think, prefer one over the other? Have another name you would use?
Option One
Option Two
I would love your feedback and opinion.

Kerry says
Thank you! I have done it once before and I know it really helps. So worth it. Thank you for the support!
Lauren says
I agree, I like the first button (plus yellow, duh!). I didn’t know that fleece jackets for dogs were a thing but that’s really cool! I ran to the grocery store last night and needed some snacks so I was in the cracker aisle. Someone had left a clipped coupon from the newspaper on the shelf next to some crackers. I figured it was expiring that day but nope, not til March. I thought it was nice to just leave it behind so if you get the paper, maybe you could leave 5-10 of them around your grocery store with a little post-it to say enjoy?
Kerry says
Yes, yellow is a must! Yes, especially here in the winter. Dogs with thin coats or small dogs can’t take the cold just as much as us humans can’t either. The coupon thing is a great idea! Thanks!
Kristin says
Love this idea. You’re too sweet.
Kerry says
Thank you! Hoping to add many more acts too!
Erin says
this is so wonderful!! I need to start doing more of this type of thing!
Kerry says
Thank you! You should, we can always share ideas! It makes a big difference in someones day!
lindsey sue says
love this idea! and the hats for the preemies! well that’s just fabulous. our little preemie has some knitted hats and they really just helped me feel normal when she was too tiny for clothes, her head was always in fashion! 🙂
Kerry says
Thank you! So glad the knitted hats helped you and your precious baby! Hope she is bigger, better, faster, and stronger!
Pinky says
What a wonderful idea, so kind!
I like the second option the best 🙂
Kerry says
Thank you! Hoping it reminds others that they can make a difference with one small act!
Ashley says
Loveeeeeeeeee this!!!! I plan on leaving a Starbucks gift card in my mailbox today just for our mail guy. Thanks for the encouragement to do this today!
Kerry says
That is an awesome gift and I am sure they will love it! You are so welcome and I will be posting lots more ideas too.
SMD @ Life According to Steph says
Great ideas!
I vote for option 2.
My Relay For Life team is named Random Acts of Kindness after my BFF’s dad, who when he died asked that we all just perform RAoK in his honor.
Kerry says
Thank you! That is so awesome that you do that in his honor. Do you have any Random Acts you love to do?
Michelle Meagher says
First button for sure! This is a great thing you are doing Kerry!
It’s funny that I just read this, I just paid for a women behind be in the dunks drive thru. She was in her car and I could see/hear her kiddos screaming and crying. God knows I have been there before. All it takes is one small act to help make this world a brighter place. Kudos to you for your efforts 🙂
Kerry says
Thank you Michelle! Good for you for paying for her Dunks, I am sure it made her day a little bit brighter! That was really kind of you! Thank you!
Kate @ Another Clean Slate says
I hope those quarters find their way to my laundry room 🙂 But seriously, this is a great idea!
Kerry says
Haha!! Your post actually helped me come up with that one! I have a laundromat right down the street by my house so this will be an easy one. Thank you so much!

Lindsey says
I love this idea/series! Random acts of kindness is on my 30 under 30. About 6 days before Christmas I took a whole day and volunteered at the local food pantry. It was a great experience and they really needed the help. I like the second button =)
Kerry says
That was great that you volunteered I am sure they really appreciated the help! Love that it is on your list! Do you have other acts planned?
lmnavarra28 says
What a very thoughtful link-up. Doing some extra random acts of kindness is always a great idea – I’ll totally participate! I’d like to spend some time visiting a care-giving home to start.

Caren says
You’re a good egg!! Personally, I loved the idea of the fleece coats for dogs. you’ve got me thinking now of how I can randomly kind-bomb. Thanks for the inspiration! x
Kerry says
Thank you, too kind! Especially now in the deep Winter and the negative temps they really need them. So glad to have got you thinking on ways to help! 🙂
Heather (My Little HEA) says

Kerry says
Thank you! I am hoping to do that one this weekend!
Kelly says
