There won’t be much to this post because there really wasn’t much to this weekend. I spent the majority of it raking my front lawn then my back yard and watching The Walking Dead. I took one or two naps but really who’s counting?!
Saturday: I headed out early to Old Navy for a new Sweatshirt and then to Lowe’s for some lawn bags. Then a quick grocery trip. Then I spent 2.5 hours raking leaves and bagging everything up. Twelve bags later I took a break. Did some chores around the house in between episodes of the Waking Dead.

Sunday: A little more of the same, raking the back yard, house chores, watching the Walking Dead (I am up to Season 3), and snuggle time with Seamus. He was a cuddly little bugger this weekend. Not that I am complaining. He even took the lead and let me know when it was time for a nap.
I had to do a little meal prep first though.

This post isn’t complete without sharing my complete and absolute appreciation to all the veteran’s who have served and are currently serving in the military. To my Dad especially who is a Vietnam veteran. It is with thanks to them that we have the freedoms that we have today.

So I raked this weekend. Then the dogs ruined all the piles before I could bag them. I give up.

What kind of sausage do you get? Chicken?
It was a really good workout and the squatting to pick them up, I was sore the next day! For the meal prep veggie mix I used a mixture of Chorizo and Pepperidge Farms Kielbasa. So yummy and quick to make!
yard work is quite possibly the hardest workout of anything!!!

Yeah it is not a big yard but it was covered and getting them into all the bags. That was just for the front yard too. The back yard was another hour. The leaves are so pretty though, just wish they didn’t fall in my yard! 🙂
Ooooh, Walking Dead. I love that show and can’t wait for you to catch up! But, you are seeing Carl age at warp speed. Watching in real time, it’s more subtle, but when I see and hear him from the earlier episodes, it’s kind of funny since not that much time has passed on the show.
He has gotten so big and a tough little dude! I think I will be finished with Season 3 tonight at the gym. It is weird since some episodes span a week, then one episode the mother was five months pregnant.

I love the changing of the leaves and all the colors but I could do without picking up the leaves. Seamus is more just lazy and bored with the crazy lazy always shoving a camera in his face! Haha!
I didn’t do much this weekend…. lots of naps & some house work. I couldn’t imagine raking 12 bags of leaves! go girl!
It was a lot of work and the leaves are taking over again! Hope the snow comes to cover it up before I have to rake again! 😉
lol one perk of living in Manhattan is not having to rake leaves I guess.. didn’t know it took that much effort! At least you had a relaxing weekend otherwise.

Seamus is so cute! I can never resist taking a nap with Maximus when he wants to cuddle, either. It adds a bit of extra relaxation to nap time. 🙂
