I know it isn’t Spring just yet, I can tell just from the snow we had on Sunday night but I know it is coming. With warmer weather coming I know I don’t want to spend anymore time indoors than I need to so in the next few weekends I am going to be spring cleaning different areas in my house.
I also want to declutter and remove as many items as I can to try to be a little more minimalist. I also have a ton of birthday in March and April, so plenty of shopping and parties to come. So with the last few weeks of Winter I want to get as much done so once Spring comes I am outside enjoying the weather.

After doing a little more shopping for 2 birthday gifts I was mailing out, I decided to stop into the Chipotle’s that is in our shopping plaza. I am a bad blogger for having never been to Chipotle and I’ve lived so close to one for 5 years. Oops. The lines were way too long but the food was good. Not sure I get the hype though.

The morning started as usual, with a cup of coffee and a book. Finished Start Me Up which I will be reviewing soon but totally worth the read.
I left a soda in my car and didn’t realize till I was heading to the Post Office, with -13 degree weather it was frozen.
I went through my cabinets and took out everything. I am donating any mugs or cups I don’t use, or are ordinary. No surprise I am keeping more than I am donating.
I cleaned the rest of the house from the trash, laundry and dishes. Swept and moped every surface on the main level, and dusted all the corners and ceilings.

I decide to spend some time pampering myself with a face mask and Neutrogena face gel.
I have been waiting for the new show Secrets and Lies to come on TV so I watched the first half of it, since it was 2 hours long and I needed to head to bed.

overall it was a great weekend or relaxing, and getting a lot of cleaning done. I am looking forward to the warmer weather though.
How was your weekend?
Linking up with Biana from B Loved Boston.

I went to Chipotle yesterday and I have to say it’s my favorite of all the mexican style fast food restaurants…LOVE IT! We need to do a clean out of our cupboards too! Can’t wait for the book review – Happy Monday! xo, Biana
I would go to Margarita’s over Chipotle any day but maybe that’s more for the margarita’s and the chimicangas. Hehe! It was so nice to get my cupboards decluttered, now on to the rest of the house!
i don’t get the hype either with chipotle. i liked it but wasn’t like OMG every time i’ve eaten there. that’s too funny about the coke being frozen. i’ve always wanted to blow bubbles outside and see if they freeze when it’s that cold.
Yeah, it was good but I don’t crave it again or anything maybe because it was a mad house. It was a little too fast food-y for me. We had snow again, so I am so over the cold. The negative temps are ridiculous.
How do you like the neutrogena face gel?
Great job on the spring clean start!
It was pretty good. I’ve only used it once though, so I’m giving it this week to see if I notice any changes. I am on a mission to get my whole house done. Well, I say I mission but really I mean in between reading sessions. 😉
I love Chipotle, but my first experience when it first opened years ago was not my best and I waited years before I went back and fell in love. I love that you’re getting your spring cleaning done before the nice weather. It really should be called something else because come Spring you want to be outside, so true! I usually end up keeping more than I throw out and have to clean out twice, but I love purging! Can’t wait for the book reviews! Happy Monday!
I guess I was just expecting something different, I just wasn’t blown away. Once the nice weather comes I plan on being outside as much as possible, hiking trips are already planned. I love purging but I also have way too many hobbies. Trying to scale down!
awesome spring cleaning! i need to do some of that pronto. i have boxes ready for donation but i haven’t had the chance to put stuff in them because lazy.
we’re expecting more snow and freezing rain after as the cherry on top. WINTER, GO AWAY ALREADY; YOU ARE NOT WELCOME ANYMORE.
I was so glad to get some of it done. Still a work in progress though. I have a bag of clothes waiting to be taken to Goodwill so I totally get the struggle. Haha!
Noooooo!! Enough already! I had to shovel this morning but I think this is the end of it. So over it.
You must feel good getting all that cleaning done! Chipotle places always seem a bit dirty to me.
Sean and his friends love it. I made quesadillas last night and they were really good and way less expensive than eating out! Did not want to watch that Secrets and Lies show. Too many dark subjects on these TV shows. We are hooked on The Blacklist and Empire. March came in like a lion, hoping to see lamb-like weather very soon.
Love,SMD’s Momma
It was so nice, and made me feel accomplished. It did seem a little dirty, and chaotic. Homemade Quesadillas are much better. I need to catch up on the Blacklist soon. Hopefully we will see some Spring weather and the snow will melt.
So, okay. Chipotle is so good. I think the hype is just that it’s a LOT of food for a pretty good price, and it’s pretty good for you! It’s not greasy or nasty takeout. We love it 🙂
It was decent but I wasn’t blown away. It was a decent price and I like that they put it together right in front of you. I guess I was just expecting more since it gets talked about so much.
I have never been to Chipotle. My sister said she didn’t think I would like it. I live close to Border Cafe and that is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants so I would totally choose that. Spring cleaning is good. I need to get started on that. I cannot wait for spring to arrive and melt all this snow.
I haven’t had border cafe before but Margarita’s is my favorite. As soon as the weather gets nice I will not be inside cleaning so better to do it now while we still have snow on the ground! 😉
Not gunna lie, I do love Chipotle but there are none near my house =(
sounds like a fabulous weekend! i have never had chipotle, though i have definitely heard about it! we have one but it’s not close, probably like a 20-25 minute drive, maybe 15 minutes from my work and eh.. just haven’t been bothered yet. definitely checking out both of those books, and i say if you got rid of one mug it’s better than none!! i am in a spring cleaning / decluttering mood right now as well!
I think it is worth it if you just happen to be by one, but it wasn’t amazing for me. Good, just not amazing. I really liked both books. After being cooped up all Winter, I think cleaning is in order, and you are right one is better than none. 🙂
Sounds like a great weekend! I got no cleaning done so I am back to it this weekend for sure. Was 48 here this morning and boy did that feel nice! Spring is in the air for sure!
It was really nice, though I know the next 2 months will be hectic. That does sound like Spring weather. I had to shovel this morning! 🙁
They just opened a Chipotle here and I keep saying I’m going to try it but I haven’t.
I cleaned everything this weekend, I did finish my book last night but just barely. At least I’m ready for summer!
It wasn’t bad, just not as great as I was expecting. The hype kills it for me every time! Summer?! You just skipped Spring! Haha!
Sounds like you had a productive weekend! I have been purging things that we aren’t using here and there. Every little bit helps!
I love Chipotle, but I don’t really get the hype either?! Their burrito bowls are delicious and my favorite of all the fast casual Mexican style places…but I don’t get why everyone has to take a picture of it every time they are there? Haha!
It was, I really am trying to downsize right now. It all helps. I totally have a thing for Margarita’s and it’s didn’t compare so it’s not that I disliked it but it just wasn’t as good.
I used to be so obsessed with Chipotle but then I had so many bad experiences with the meat either not being very good or there being a stone (literally) in my beans, haha, so I try and avoid it because I always end up disappointed– though every time I see a picture it looks so good! So glad you had a productive weekend of cleaning and reading 🙂 I still can’t believe all of your mugs!
Ew. That doesn’t sounds good. I know, I know I have way too many mugs.
Sounds like productive! You have a TON of mugs for one person! lol I thought I had too many. I love Choptle’s salads and bowls.
It was very productive!! I totally have a ton! Haha!
you have to get chipotle a few times until you find the perfect order for you. then you will be obsessed and want to eat it everyday ha. i need to do some early spring cleaning too!
I would give it another try, I am not sure if it would be my preference. It felt so good to get some things out of the house.
Lovely weekend! I feel the same about Chipotle. I thought the food was going to be so good that I would be absolutely addicted and have to go back for every single meal ever since I tried it. Nope. It was not that special. I sorta feel like the hype came from when it originated because it has cage free & range free products. But I am getting the impression it is not as organic and range free as we originally thought.
Yes, I thought it would be fantastic and it was just okay. It is a good healthier option but I guess if I am going to have mexican food I would much rather splurge on an enchilada.
You’re lucky you had already drank some of that pop! I saw a meme where someone accidentally left an entire 12 pack of CANS in their car and it exploded… YOWZA! lol
I know, I was so lucky. It totally could have exploded.
Getting rid of mug is SO HARD! I admire you for going down that path. 😉
It was so hard. I used them a lot so I was happy with the ones I got rid of.
I need to do that corner/baseboard/all-over cleaning soon too – now that I clean our venue several times a week I hate cleaning at home:(
Chipotle makes me happy!! I could probably eat it a couple times a week but I don’t.
Cleaning is the worst, but I love a clean house too. I think it is a good alternative and a little healthier option.
I don’t get the Chipotle hype either.
Like I told you, you have away more mugs than I own! I feel immense pressure to buy some because I love all of yours and I want to have fun mugs, too.
I don’t want to pressure you or anything but Marshall’s and TJ Maxx had some for under $3. Couldn’t beat it. I use mugs for everything though so they get lots of use. Coffee, tea, ice cream, soup, if it fit it’s going in a mug.
I’m with you on Chipotle. It’s good, but I’d rather have Moe’s. 🙂 I feel you on keeping more than you donate when cleaning out cabinets. And I love seeing little Seamus! He’s such a handsome guy! xo
Yes, I feel like it was okay but I’ve had better. It is so hard to get rid of them, but I know I will use the ones I kept. Thank you, he is such a sweet little guy.
The Chipotle sure looks good!!! And so does Seamus! 🙂
Seamus really is a doll, even when he is a pain in the morning. 🙂
Oh how I need Chipotle in my life soon…
Haha! Sorry to fuel the craving! 😉
Yay for warmer weather!! Doesn’t it feel good to get an early start on spring cleaning? 😉
I was so happy to get it started because once it’s nice out, I will be outside hiking not cleaning!
People seem to love Chipotle, like Moe’s. Burritos are good, but definitely not an everyday item. And the Chipotle bag pictured above has a Paulo Coelho quote…gotta love that! Have a great day!
I would much rather have had Margarita’s.
