Adulting is hard. It is starting to get cold here, Seamus is not adjusting to the time change just yet (waking me up an hour early) and it is dark when I walk him in the morning and dark on the way home from work. I am starting to feel myself hibernating and these are some of the things that I would rather be doing that adulting.
Reading: Come on you knew this one was coming. These are a few that I have downloaded and ready to read. Brother is my current book, and it’s super creepy so far.
Once Kissed // A Bramble House Christmas
Watching: I have a ton of shows that are sitting in my queue on my DVR and spending some time catching up would be nice.
The Walking Dead // Chicago PD
Spending: Because buying workout gear totally counts as a workout, right?
What do you do to distract you from adulting?
Biana says
Amen girl – it’s hard being an adult sometimes!! I would much rather be shopping lol! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston
Kerry says
It is so hard. Shopping is always fun!
Kelly says
Love this! What a fun idea for a post. I may borrow this. 🙂 Love that workout top!
Kerry says
Feel free to borrow it! 🙂 If I have to sweat I might aw well look cute.
Heather - My Little HEA says
Oh gosh that dog falling down the stairs is soo cute! I’m not a fan of adulting either and I was just thinking about that this morning. You know I love me some Chicago PD and I’m interested in checking out those other shows you listed except TWD *covers eyes*. Any of them on regular networks? Loved the latest Cecy Robson book!! I’d rather be reading!
Kerry says
It is way too hard. Yes, they are on CBS and Fox, both really good. Cece always knocks it out of the park so I am excited to read it, glad you liked it too. I would so rather be reading!
Linda Sheridan says
I am lucky enough to be doing what I like to do most of the time! I have a ton of workout clothes, Nike and Adidas stuff and perhaps someday, I will workout LOL! They are comfortable and let me easily hike my legs over the 4 feet gates we have on 2 kitchen entrances to give Boo a safe place to be. We have been enjoying
some lovely warm weather this week to end on Friday.
Almost the weekend!
Love, Steph’s Momma
Kerry says
It’s the thought that counts, haha! Glad you are getting the chance to just enjoy the days. It has been beautiful weather this week.
Caitlin Elizabeth says
Haha shopping and tv watching are definitely what I do too to distract myself from adulting 🙂
Kerry says
Adulting is hard might as well have something to show for it! 😉
kathy at more coffee, less talky says
adulting sucks big time! i love to crochet or watch tv to distract me from life. oh, and wine 🙂
Kerry says
Totally! Ohh yes forgot wine! Good choices.
Elle Sees says
can we talk about the ridiculous time change? it’s been taking me an hour to get home as opposed to 20, because people apparently can’t drive in the dark and they are freaking out. hoping it will clear up soon!
Kerry says
Yes!!! The same for me I was wondering why it was taking so long to get home! Ridiculous!!
chelsea jacobs says
I’m loving Chicago PD this season!!
Kerry says
They really stepped it up this season!
Rebecca Jo says
I knit to ignore adulting – which makes me ancient I think.
My dogs cant get used to the time change either
Kerry says
I used to knit a lot but reading took over. It is always nice to have a finished product. It is hard for them, so not fun!
Life According to Steph says
Spending and eating and reading are ways I like to avoid adulting!
Kerry says
Those are the best. Adulting in general is just no fun!
Kelli says
The first thing I thought when reading your post title was sleeping, I wish these gloomy days would go they make me want to curl up in bed and nap all day!
Kerry says
oh yes, I will always say yes to a nap. With the time change i have actually been up early with the pup so then I nap on my couch for another hour. It’s rough.
Amanda says
I used to watch Chicago Fire but didn’t watch the last season at all. All the episodes just kept creeping on my DVR and finally I deleted them all. I remember a couple of the Chicago PD people from appearances on Chicago Fire though!
Kerry says
Yes, they had a few cross over episodes. This season has been really good. You should catch up.
kristen says
I cannot stop watching Chicago PD, it is SO good! and I feel ya, we had our first snow last night and its cold and dark! bleh!
Kerry says
It is SO good. i have the last 2 hour episode on my DVR hopefully i can watch this weekend. Loving it. Snow?! Already?! Just no!
Stacia says
I need to catch up with Scorpion! I am addicted to Supernatural right now (just started but absolutely love it). I hope Seamus adapts to the time change soon!
Kerry says
I was down a few but got caught up last night, so good. I haven’t seen Supernatural though. I hope he does too, it’s been a rough week with even less sleep.
Jana @ Jana Says says
Grinder is such an adorable little show. I’m so happy Fred Savage is back on TV. I love him.
There are many things I’d rather do than adult. Adulting is the worst lately.
Kerry says
I know I was expecting it to be horrible but it is actually really cute. Seriously they sold us this dream and it was a dud.
Bri says
Adulting is the worst. There are so many things I’d rather do.
Kerry says
So many things are better to be doing.
Emily says
Agreed. adulting can be draining at times and leaving work when it’s dark outside is totally sucking. Here’s hoping the weekend gets here quickly.
Kerry says
It made for such a long week!
Staci says
I’d love to read a creepy book! Even though Halloween is over, ha. But I despise adulating, too. I wish I could go back to kindergarten and color/use those scissors that aren’t sharp, baha!
Staci

Kerry says
It is weird and a little bit like the movie The Wrong Turn. Haha yes paste and dull scissors is better than adulting!
Nadine says
Chicago PD!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I freaking love that show!!! And Fire!!! And cant wait to see Med too! I love how they all crossover too!!!
Kerry says
It is so good this season. I am adding Chicago Med to my DVR.
Erin of TexErin-in-SydneyLand says
What would I rather be doing than adulting? Reading! (duh!) And, there was a time during those college years that my girlfriends and I would all hang all day at the apartment pool, then get dressed together and drink cheaply, then go out, drink, dance, flirt…go home, crash, get up, order pizza, repeat the day. I could use a time machine to have a weekend like that in my life.
Kerry says
Reading is always a good choice! I seriously can’t believe how much has changed since college. If only we still had that energy.
Leeann says
Mmm Halstead. So hot! I’ll have to check out Brother. Sounds intriguing. Stay warm out there. I don’t envy super cold temps but I am jealous since it’s going be in the 80s this weekend.
Kerry says
It is a little backwoods but it is good so far! It is beautiful Fall weather right now but I know it will get cold soon!
kristen says
ugh adulting super sucks. love the workout clothes though, i wish reading and buying workout clothes counted as a workout 😉 can’t wait to hear your opinion on all of those books, brother LOOKS super creepy so good to hear it is!
Kerry says
If only they counted towards exercise, I’d be rail thin. It is so creepy, but in a weird way. Review coming soon.
Meg Taylor says
Somehow I have never watched any of those shows. There are just SO MANY good shows right now! That Old Navy pullover is awesome and you can’t beat the price!
Kerry says
So many good shows I feel I am always trying to catch up. Such a good price and will totally help me workout! Haha!
Meghan says
Girl, yes! Yes yes yes! These are always things I’d rather do, too! xo, Champagne&Suburbs
Kerry says
I mean we can always find ways to not do things, but shopping and reading is always more fun!
