Happy Monday! I wish I could say I am well rested after my long weekend but I am fighting some serious allergies or cold. It hit me hard Friday night and I haven’t shaken it yet. I didn’t let it stop me completely though I did take more naps than planned. I would never turn down a nap though. So what was I up to??
I stopped at Whole Foods after my hike, and this was what I came out of the store to, seriously sometimes Whole Foods is worst than Wal-Mart.
One of the places I stopped was Lowe’s for some wood for a new project. Dinner was a salad with some taco seasoned beef. So yum!
Friday morning I started a new book, while drinking my morning java.
Friday afternoon I met up with Maddie from The Whimsy One since she was in town visiting family. We went to Patriots Place and had lunch at Red Robin and followed it up with a cupcake. Of course we had to take a photo in front of the stadium sign.
I was starting to feel sick on Friday morning but by the night it got really bad. I think the melting snow just really brought out an allergy/cold. I ended up falling asleep for a few hours and then waking up and going to bed.
Saturday I wanted to get the desk built and stained so I could get it installed on Sunday, in between building and staining I was reading or napping.
My office has been re-done twice now. It never seems to work since it is a hodge podge of so many hobbies and many supplies from so many different places. I wanted something a little bit more coordinated and thought out and I really wanted to declutter and organize. I still have some art to put up and a leg to build, but it’s coming along.
I can’t tell you enough how much I love my little munchkin Seamus, he really puts up with me dressing him up and doesn’t complain. Such a doll face, love him!

Ahhh sorry to hear that your allergies are bothering you – at least I hope that’s what it is and not a cold!! Aside from that looks like a great weekend! It is brutal this time of year, my whole office is sick. I couldn’t believe it, but I could too. So much rage!

ugh so sorry you’ve been feeling so crappy! my allergies have been pretty sucky but not that bad (they will be, soon.. i’m sure!). your desk looks absolutely amazing, seriously well done!! and yes totally agree, i never go to whole foods because the parking lot is always a mess!

Oh my goodness! Seamus is so cute! Our whole foods has a two story parking deck but, it is very dark at all times of the day, very narrow and I totally agree-worse than walmart! There are always accidents in there or people hitting the huge cement pillars! awful! I hope you have a great week lady!

I did like it, very creepy and makes you think about our world today. I read the book Normal right before it which was very similar and creepy.

Someone parked beside me like that at Food Lion yesterday, I said bad words and the tourist parked on the other side of me shook her head at me and gave me a dirty look. I realized later she was parked in the middle of two parking spots but front to back not side by side. UGH!
Ugh! What is wrong with people! Why can’t they take the time to straighten out or park in the right spots.
Allergies have been out of control here, too. My oldest son has had some crummy days lately with them.

Loving the desk! I heard on the news that the pollen has started even though it is hard to believe since there is still snow on the ground. I would never turn down a nap, either! It feels so delicious to let yourself sink into that drowsy, heavy-liddedness and curl up under the covers 🙂 Hope you’re feeling better now; I’ve had a cold that’s lingered for two weeks now. Ugh. Seamus does seem to be a happy and willing participant in the dress-up!
