If there is anything you can be sure of, it is that Monday is going to come faster than you want it to come. This week is no different. I didn’t take a lot of pictures since I was running about a lot but I did do quite a bit.
Friday: I went to pickup my new FitBit that I ordered online from Best Buy and then had the worst experience with them when they gave me the wrong item. I got hung up on twice basically telling me it was a mistake and to go find the right one myself and exchange it. After talking to the manager I did end up getting 20% off but will considering getting item elsewhere from now on. I did some chores around the house and read a little bit of my book. A Man of His Own by Susan Wilson. I also got in extra snuggle time with Seamus (1).
Saturday: I finished my book in the morning and it was a 5 star book. I really loved the telling of the story and the ending was not happy, or sad, but how it was supposed to end. I went grocery shopping early once I figured out what I was going to make for Girl’s night. I spent the majority of the day cleaning my house because the girls were coming over but to be honest more so because it was a mess. I had cheese and crackers out with Moscato for the wine. I made Beef Enchiladas (2&3) for dinner, then we had Samoas Rice Krispies (4) for dessert. Poor things were my taste testers for another recipe too that I was working on. I entered a contest for a Citrus Recipe so I made an Iced Orange Dill Thyme Breakfast Roll (5) for my entry. I did end up with a new mug and the sign (7) “All You Need Is Love…And A Dog” which was perfect.
Sunday: I spent the morning making a few batches of the Breakfast rolls to make all the corrections and to take the final pictures. I also watched Runner Runner and Captain Philips (who cried like a baby at the end, this girl) while it was baking. Mid-afternoon I headed out to go shopping for the mug swap and along the way I saw this cute shirt (6) for dogs but Seamus is too fat for the medium. The rest of the night was for blogging and doing more cleaning. Such the glamorous life, I know! 😉
How was your weekend?

I have that same sign but the cat one, of course. I think my husband hates it but he deals with it because some part of him knows it’s true. I loved Captain Phillips and I think your citrus entry sounds good. Keep us updated on if you win or not!
Also I have had the worst luck with Best Buy… I hate giving them my business now. Glad they gave you a discount but I totally feel you on reconsidering giving them business again!
It is totally true! I can’t believe he went back out to sea like a year later too. That would have been enough for me to want to retire. There were some really big foodies who entered so I am sure I won’t come close but it was fun to come up with a fun recipe. It was so horrible, the manager made it better but it does give you pause to give them more money.
Yum! All your food looks delish!
Thank you! I was glad to be hosting and got to try a bunch of different recipes out.
Sounds lovely, Kerry! I am so happy you had Moscato as your wine choice! I am trying drier wines and enjoying them, BUT, so many say they are dry wine drinkers, then eagerly partake in my bottle of Asti Spumante whenever I have it or lambrusco, LOL. Our pups are our kids! My Sean is home on spring(???) break and they are thrilled to have their brother home. When Steph, Stephen, Kate, and their people come in they know they are family and love them, too. First time in ever I stayed up to watch the entire Oscars. Ellen is beautiful inside and out. Thankful our snow totals were low!!
Wishing everyone a great week. Love SMD’s Momma
Asti Spumanti is a really good choice too! So glad you got a chance to visit and they accept him back into the fold. I love Ellen as the host, she is just so genuine and funny. Hope you have an amazing week!
moscato is so good! i was a single mom this weekend because my husband was in vegas. it was fun being with little K all weekend and just us girls 🙂 i think it’s hilarious that seamus is too big for the medium. pudgy dogs are adorable.
It really is so good. Yeah for a girls weekend! The picture you posted of you two on Instagram was so adorable, even though K took the spotlight! Haha! I am putting him through doggy boot camp with lots of extra walks. The poor thing is just too short for the snow banks! 😉
I hope you’ll be sharing some of those recipes with us! That dog shirt is TOO funny! Now I want to get one for my dogs 🙂

Of course. I was so sad Seamus was 6 pounds too heavy, it would have been too cute! I found it at at the Paper Store.
I missed your post on Friday because we were flying back to Orlando and that picture of Seamus totally reminded me that I needed to go back and check to see if he’s ok! I’m sooo happy that everything is fine. Happy Monday!
Traveling again! Oh boy! Thank you, I was so happy he was okay and now he is back to walking a lot to get rid of some of his chubbiness thanks to the brutal winter. Happy Monday!
Happy Monday! My weekend was ok. I’d say a solid B. 🙂
Happy Monday!! A solid B is good!
seriously the weekends go by SO fast. I love that doggy t-shirt haha.
They really do. It was too cute, if only Seamus wasn’t carrying his “winter weight” it would fit. Haha!
The dog shirt cracks me up!! I saw something on pinterest how if aliens ever viewed our society, they’d think pets were in charge. We pick up their poop, cater their meals, let them lead us around on a leash. Hilarious, and true. Hawkeye runs the house and she knows it!
They really do, rule us! Seamus gets whatever he wants and lives like a king. Hawkeye knows it but you wouldn’t have it any other way, neither would I. Dogs rule!
Your posts always make me so hungry and completely feel inadequate of my cooking skills 😉
Hungry is a good thing, inadequate not good! 🙁 I promise you most of them are easier that you think to put together.
I have the same All You Need Is Love and a Dog sign!! It sits right next to a picture of Pippa. How was Runner Runner? I want to see it!
Too funny! It is so true! I really liked it. A little rough in parts (alligator feeding, blood etc) but really good story and that sort of witty catch me if you can double crossing kinda film. If that makes any sense. Either way, yes watch it!
I’ve never had great luck with Best Buy, you’ll have to let me know how you like the fitbit! I can’t believe it’s already Monday, the weekend went by way too fast. I hope you win the contest!
I love my fitbit. I actually have had 3 now. I had one for a little over a year until it broke, then I got a new one and lost it. Note: If clipping it to your bra wearing facing into your bra. Lesson learned. Thank you, a lot of big time bloggers entered so I am not holding my breath but it was fun experimenting.
My weekend was good. thank you for the giveaway!
You are very welcome! Good luck!
UGH!! Nothing turns me off more than bad customer service. I’ve boycotted stores for much less than that! How annoying–but I am glad that you got 20% off. Still annoying though. Also? THAT SHIRT!!? Too funny!
Yes, it really soured me from wanting to shop there if I can get it elsewhere. The Paper Store had so many cute doggie things. I wanted to buy it all. Haha!
So jealous you got a FitBit! My fingers are crossed I get one for my birthday!! Which one did you get?
I got the FitBit one, I don’t like wearing anything on my wrist so I like that I can clip this one on my bra. It was on Sale for $88 and then $14 off after the manager discount. You will love it!
I think you’re going to love the FitBit…I get so sad when I forget to wear mine!! Those enchiladas look so good!!! Sounds like you had a great weekend – Happy Monday!
I do love it. This is actually my third one. My first one broke after a year. Thank you. Thy were so yummy. Happy Monday!
haha that shirt is too funny! oh i would love to try out the fitbit!
It was too cute, too bad Seamus is too “Husky” right now! Ok yeah that was corny. 😉 I love the fitbit. This is my third one and it is perfect for motivating me on days when I am close to not meeting my goal.
I love the all you need is love…and a dog sign!
It is the best, especially for us dog lovers!
I love that your book had the perfect ending, it’s so hard to find books with just the right ending.
Yes, sometimes the ending can just ruin the book but I really liked this book a lot.
That stinks about your Fit Bit, but at least you got the 20% off. : /
Loving all the doggie accessories. Gracie is super hard to fit for dog clothes too. Her chest is really big, but her waist is SO tiny. 🙂

Thanks! I wsa totally deserved! Haha! Poor Gracie. I don’t get Seamus many things because he doesn’t like to wear things but he will take any toy he can get.
The rice krispies look delish! You should post the recipe!
Ask and you shall receive, I am actually posting it tomorrow! 😉
Those rice krispies look YUM! Once again, I’m pretty sure I need to hire you as my personal chef.
That would be fun! The pups would be best friends!
I def. want that recipe! Will be on the lookout 😉
You won’t have to wait too long. It should be ready tomorrow. 🙂
Sounds like such a good weekend! And you always make the best sounding food…those breakfast rolls sound amazing!
It was a good weekend! Thank you. It was a new one for me in that it was completely from scratch. It took more than a few tries. 🙂
Your fur baby is so cute and your rice krispies look delicious!
Thank you so much, he is my little baby. I will be sharing the recipe tomorrow.
Samoas rice crispy treats?! Yuuuummmmmm! I would like to volunteer to be a taste tester… are you accepting applications?! 😉
Yes!!! Move in and you can taste them all! I am starting to get fluffy tasting them.
Those enchiladas look really good! My weekend was great. Low key but fun!
Thank you! I always get them at restaurants but the first time making them at home! Glad you had a good weekend. Low key is always nice.
I found your blog through the giveaway and I am so glad! I would love to win $50 in paypal cash but even if I don’t, I’m just so excited that I found someone so funny and relatable on the internet! You are my new favorite! Thanks for your positivity! xoxo Rebecca
Thank you very much for the kind words. I always try to find the positive in every situation, so thanks for noticing! Have a great rest of the day!
i can’t believe it’s march! i had friends stay the weekend with lots of fun and non-bloggable things, hehe
That sounds like fun! Glad you have a good weekend!
Yum!!!! We LOVE enchildadas at my house! Looks like a great weekend 🙂
It was busy but really good. Love getting time to spend with my girls! I also got to shop for your mug! 😉
I wish my weekend would’ve been better…I slipped and fell (hard!) on some ice on my bad back and Sunday we had to move all our stuff out of our storage locker and into a new locker down the hall, so that hurt a lot! This weekend will be better!
Oh no that sounds awful! Hope you are resting and icing your back. Hope this weekend is much less strenuous!
Thanks for the chance to win!
You’re welcome! Good luck!
Thanks for the giveaway! Since it’s Friday, I’ll tell you about my upcoming weekend – traveling to my sisters to smother my nephews 🙂
You’re welcome! That sounds like a great weekend!
I’m so excited that you entered the citrus recipe contest!! Best of luck to you!!
Friends make great guinea pigs for recipes and such. It’s nice to have people with differing opinions, too, so you get a well-rounded view of what people will think of it.
I’m sorry about your Best Buy experience. I’ve had friends who have said that they’ve had terrible experiences with them, too. I don’t shop there enough to say.
Thank you! I didn’t make the cut but I will be posting the recipe. Yes, it is always good to get feedback. I mean I like what I make but you never know what others will bring to the table so to speak. 😉
I buy a lot of items there but haven’t had to return anything or had things to correct so i was disappointed. Oh well, it ended up saving me money even if it was a hassle.
Thanks for the chance to win the paypal giveaway! Fingers crossed. 🙂
Good Luck!
thanks for this amazing giveaway, really hope i win
Thank you. Good luck!
i need to get the “I poop, U scoop” shirt for the dogs in my neighborhood, some new people have moved in and never clean up after their dogs.
It would be a good Public Service Announcement! Haha!
Ooh I need to try the Samoa Rice Krispies!
They are really good and the topping was my favorite part! Hope you give them a try!
thanks for the chance 🙂
Very welcome! Good luck!
