I really want to rewind this weekend and do it all again. Being able to spend a whole day with local bloggers and getting to connect with so many was amazing. We also got to create some crafts and learn some tips on taking certain pictures. So much fun. Sunday was equal parts relaxing and productive.
Saturday: I drove into Boston to pick up Kate and head to Copley Place to the Home For The Holidays blogger conference being held by WayFair and Boston Blogger it was being held between 10am-6pm. We had two key note speakers and then broke out into different groups including DIY gift tags, SEO tips, Pendant Banners, Tabletop styling, and Menu planning. We finished up with a cocktail hour before ending the night. It was such an amazing day and seriously made me wish I worked there, I even took pictures of the furniture because I want to make one for my tons of photo props.

Sunday: The morning was off to it’s usual coffee and reading for about an hour. Then I headed outside to stain the blanket ladder I put together last week. I raked the lawn while I was waiting for it to dry. Only 12 bags later and half my front lawn was done. 🙁 I headed back inside to read for a bit and re-arrange my spare bedroom to make room for the blanket ladder.
I then headed to Target for a little shopping, I had a gift card from Swagbucks so I got a few decorations and dog food. I went grocery shopping, got some food for the local food pantry, then headed back home. I made a quick lunch then brought the ladder upstairs to decorate it. I really liked how it came out. Seamus got his blanket washed and he made quick work of kicking it off the couch and burrowing into it on the floor. Little bugger.

Linking up with Leeann from Join the Gossip and Biana from B Loved Boston.

Ahhh all the photos from the blogger event are amazing! So glad to hear you had such a wonderful time!! My Sunday night ended the same way as yours – chocolate chip cookies!! The ladder looks so great girl!!
It was so much fun and got to meet a lot of new bloggers. Cookies were much needed! 😉 Thank you so much, it was really easy but really makes a statement.
What a fabulous weekend! I was sorry to miss the Wayfair event; it looked like so much fun. Your blanket ladder came out amazing! Well done. Maybe there’s a design business in the making? Have a wonderful week.
It was a lot of fun, it was packed. Sorry you couldn’t make it. 🙁 I have been thinking about that actually so it may be in the works.
couldn;t wait to hear about the blogger event–it looked so pretty, hehe. i had a cold and kind of just laid there on the couch. i went out once and bought the craziest stuff.
You can’t go wrong with Wayfair. Now I need to figure out a way to work there! 😉 Hope you feel better, that is never a fun way to spend the weekend!
A beautiful weekend for you! 12 bags of leaves!!! We have hardly any leaves. Only one tree in out front
side yard! Cookies are always good. Baking is bliss and peacefullness to me!
Have a blissful week!
Love, SMD’s Momma
It was such a great weekend. The funny thing is I don’t have any trees! It is all from my neighbors tree. You are a lucky girl! Baking is my sanity! Hope you have a great week!
Your blanket ladder turned out great! I feel like I didn’t even have a weekend- I’m beat today!
Thank you! It did go too quick. I could use another day! I can’t believe you had back to back events! You are a champ!
I love the decor at the conference!
The place was so pretty and really a great environment to work in!
sounds like a fun event!! i wish my city would host fun blogger events like that.
that blanket ladder turned out great! you’re a DIY master 🙂
It was a lot of fun! They need to get it together. I was surprised Boston doesn’t do it more often! I am loving making them.
How fun! I love blog conferences, and if I had a chance to go to one with Wayfair, I’d be in heaven! LOL
I am seriously trying to figure out how I can work there. So much fun!
So much fun!! I really need to pay attention to when these Boston Blogger events are. They’re always great!
Haha! I miss so many because I don’t pay attention or they are in the middle of the week.
Love how the blog conference wasn’t all BUILD YOUR BLOG OR ELSE and there was some craftiness thrown in too! I bet your coworkers are loving you for those cookies today!
It was a good mix of advice, strategy, and also giving us content ideas for the holidays which was nice. I think they love or hate me for the cookies! 😉
That blogger conference sounds awesome! I wish we had one here in Charleston! I’ve been watching Christmas movies already too, never too early in my opinion!
Considering how big Boston is I’m surprised they don’t have more but it was so much fun. I am obsessed with Christmas movies it is never too early! 🙂
Food for the local food pantry is on my to do list this week!
That blogger event looked awesome!
They are in high demand right now. You are awesome! It was so much fun and getting to do some crafts was really nice.
We have no good blogger conferences here in FL but I would love to go to one. Love your DIY project. So neat. I’ve always wanted a leaning shelf for books similar to how your blanket ladder looks.
I think Nichole from Casa de Crews has gone to one in Florida but maybe it is further from you? I love those leaning shelves and i think it would be very similar to make.
I need to tell you how lovely that Blanket Ladder is! You are so GOOD at these things – you need your own brand! Seriously!
And I am glad you had fun at the blogger thing! I would love something like that closer to me!
Procrastinating with Seamus and Cookies – Sounds like a good night to me.
Thank you so very much! I have been thinking about it actually. I wish they had more of them in Boston. So much information to be shared. It was a really great night to end the hectic weekend.
What were some of the best tips you learned at the conference? I’m so glad you had a good time! Seamus looks way too warm and cozy on his blanket!
I think it was about reusing your content or making the most use of your content. For example if you shoot a table setting and you do a craft for the table, one post is the table, the second post is the craft, the third post is a recipe. Trying to use as much of that day and shoot to get as much out of it as you can. Trying to plan your content around events and holidays was the main focus but we discuss camera angles and business choices too.
That is his favorite blanket I can never get it away from him except to wash it once a week.
That blogger event sounds totally fun! And what is up with dogs burrowing in their covers? Mac has to burrow all over the house and spread his “mac.” lol
I see I am not the only one enjoying the Christmas movies already! And I am still waiting on my blanket ladder 😉
have a great week!
Haha! He really has to make te blankets just so. It is not to be messed with. Hehe. I shall start making them soon! 😉
I am so glad you had a great time at the Boston blogger event, it looked like so much fun! Love the blanket rack you made!! It’s so fantastic!!
Thank you it was a blast! I was really happy with how it came out, so many things to make now!
That blog conference sounds like a fun one.
I’d like some cookies!
It was really fun to be able to craft all day while learn. Cookies are always a good idea! 😉
what a fun event!! wish my city wasn’t so boring. mmm cookies – and jeez the ladder looks SO good!
Boston doesn’t have nearly as many events as one would think considering the amount of bloggers here. It was such a great event though. Thank you, I am so glad I finally did it.
Randomly dropping off food for the needy is just one of the reasons why I love you! 🙂 You’re the best!!! 😀
Thank you. I think you are pretty awesome too!
I love–LOVE that ladder! I’ve been wanting a blanket ladder for awhile now. Yours turned out just perfect 🙂 And YAY for Christmas movies!
Thank you. It was much easier to make then i thought it was going to be. I could watch Christmas movies every night, just love them.
The Wayfair conference sounds so awesome, I loved following along on IG.
Your blanket ladder turned out great and your cookies look delicious!
It was really a great time. Thank you, I might have to make another one just to be sure it would come out the same again.
So many people I know were at that event! Glad you had such a good time!
It was a really fun event. DIY crafts are right up my alley.
Yessss I am late to the weekend post, but I loved your weekend. Blog thing in which you got to create crafts?! So jealous I mean awesome! Absolutely loving the blanket ladder. You did a GREAT job on it. I love how the pups burrow into the blankets and pillows sooo cute!
Haha! Thanks. It was so fun and being able to make things made the time go by so quick. It is such a good statement piece and good for storage too.
