Another weekend gone, but I am not sorry about it since this is going to be a short week for me. I have a mini-vacation since I took Thursday and Friday off. Since I am training someone at work in a few weeks I wanted to get a short vacation in so I don’t bail on her until she gets her feet wet.
I wanted to spend it hiking but after this weekend that might not happen. I most likely will be working on my Office re-design, book reading and double workouts.
Saturday morning was all about the shopping and i had a list. Bed Bath and Beyond to get glass containers (replacing all plastic containers), PetSmart, Old Navy (left empty handed), Home Goods, and Target.
Sunday morning I made a big breakfast since I knew it was going to be a long day. I also read for a little bit before getting ready.
Seamus wanted no part in the picture taking this weekend.

It was horrible, and it made the snow so soft. I was glad to get the workout in though. It was so good I want to make it again tonight. 😉
i tossed out all plastic containers in my house ages ago and whenever i see people heating their food up in plastic containers (esp the take out containers!!!) i grimace because cancer! BPAs!

It is so much better for you, I am glad I made the switch. I am hoping to go again while on my mini-vacation, hopefully the conditions are better but it is snowing today!
yay for a mini vacation! i was i find hiking relaxing to begin with. i’m too clumsy but i love being outdoors. maybe on a swing, reading! 😉
I am so excited for it. Haha! Reading on a swing is pretty amazing, but I do love the workout.

Ew on that hike. The lunch looks really good. I packed pastrami sandwiches for our trip to Annapolis to see
Sean’s game. It was freezing there by the water and we could not park on the base. We had to park at least
5 blocks away with another 10 minute walk to the soccer field. I love the Superhero training theme for that kid part. Our Colin would love that and he has a January birthday, so he needs an indoor activity. Glad you have a long weekend and a short week. Enjoy!

It was so yummy, waiting to make it again this week. Pastrami is something I do not have enough but it is so good. It was so much fun and the kids burned off a lot of energy.
I am so hungry for that sandwich! Also, I really, really need it to stop snowing before I get there next weekend!!!!!

I am slowly working on replacing my plastic containers with glass. They hold up so much better and you don’t have to worry about nasty chemicals in your food.

I have been slowly replacing our plastic with glass. It is just I am so OCD about everything that I keep our plastic stuff in such great shape that I have a hard time just getting rid of it, you know?! I will no microwave anything in plastic so at least that is a start! Love your finds! Hope you have a great short week!
It is officially Spring but we had snow for 8 hours on Saturday. 🙁 That is a start. I hate to throw it away but it is better for you so starting slow is okay. Thank you so much!

Old Navy is hit or miss for me. I either find ALL the clothes or nothng at all. I want a new bed set and have been wanting to go to BB&B. Looks like a great weekend!
It is, in the Winter I got so much stuff but now I am not liking anything. BB&B has so many great things, I could get lost in there for hours.
I wanted to go a lot of places like that but K gets tired of me dragging her around, hahaha.
I bet glass containers are much easier to clean than plastic.
It is so much harder with kids! So much cleaner and no more worrying about BPA’s.

That meal looks amazing, your co-workers are LUCKY. I got rid of Tupperware that had non-fitting lids – or missing lids and I felt so proud until I realized some STILL didn’t fit! How in the world did I do that?
Haha! It was nice to be outside but the snow and the sliding was not fun! Thank you! Hehe! I cleaned mine out awhile too, how do the lids go missing! Craziness.
An office re-do sounds like a lot of fun! I’m itching to redesign but am trying to remember that we’re moving soon, so it needs to be a purging instead. haha.
I have re-done this room twice already. There will be a lot of purging going on too, the space is just not working for me. MOving, huh? How fun! Purging is very much needed then, less to pack and move. 😉

Oh gosh, your hike sounds so similar to the one I did last week! Except I was with a friend, so it wasn’t as bad as it would have been otherwise? I think. But man, the combination of mud and ice and snow was just ridiculous and we are all going to be overjoyed when it’s finally all gone!
I need to make a sandwich with gruyere and honey dijon now, yum!
This is my weekend (Monday’s my Friday), and so far it’s going pretty well! Went to the gym and went on a small hike with my husband and dog but also rested a lot and I look forward to not a lot of plans tomorrow 🙂
