I know I have said before that I had lazy weekends but this one took the cake. I didn’t get any runs in, and I mostly just laid on the couch and read. I took a bunch of naps and cleaned my house. It was the first time in awhile where I finally got all my cleaning done before the weekend was over. Score!!
I did get a few things done though…..
Saturday: I took Seamus to the vet and he lost 6 ounces. Woohoo. He still needs to lose like 2 pounds be he is well on his way.

After dropping Seamus off at home I headed out to Wal-Mart for some odds and ends, and then to Ikea for new curtains. I still need to hem them so no pictures just yet.
I love to go different ways home every so often, to get “lost” and find new places. This time was no different. I happened on this cute little park that had a water fall and walking path so I pulled over to sit for a bit.

I also drove by a sheep farm and a horseback riding camp. I took down the names so I could look into going later.
Did you seem my Summer reading List post last week? Well the author for Blue Jeans and Coffee Beans tweeted me. How cool.

Sunday: I had hoped to go to the beach but it decided to rain instead. So I read for most of the day. I did a little online shopping, like this dress that was just under $28.

I did make a delicious dinner that I will be sharing the recipe for tomorrow. It had Romaine lettuce, roasted tomato, Chorizo, cucumber and fresh mozzarella with a homemade Honey Mustard dressing. I went back for seconds. 😉

How was your weekend?

love a lazy weekend! i cleaned yesterday too!
Lazy weekends are the best! Next weekend I have vacation so it was nice to get all my cleaning done so I won’t worry about it then.
I was pretty lazy this weekend too and lounged around. Watched 2 seasons of SOA. It was even nice outside but I wanted to be inside for some odd reason.
I love finding places that look calm and relaxing. Wish there was spots like that one around my town. I’d go as many times as I could during the week for a little cool down from the stress!
That dress is gorgeous! I might have to look into getting myself one!
And that dish looks friggin amazing! I can’t wait for the recipe. I might want to try it myself!!
I love SOA!! So excited for the newest and final season in the fall. Sometimes you just need an indoor veg session inside. It was so pretty and a nice little stop over.
You should they have the dress in navy and a pretty mint color too.
It was so good and pretty easy to put together.
Get out, I love that dress and what a great price! Checking that site out now. So nice for that author to tweet to you (and I’m glad you liked her book!). Good job, Seamus – Bauer needs some weight loss tips from him!
They have some really funky stuff, but some really pretty stuff too. I thought it was pretty cool since I wasn’t sure how she found my post. It has been slow going but I do measure his food now so he doesn’t overeat and really limit his treats. The Winter took a toll on him.
lazy weekends are the best! i want that bag!!! $12.99?! perfect. those sites would be the death of my wallet though. that dress is gorgeous! model when you get it 😉 lol. those photos are stunning, i wish i had pretty places like that near me! and hey an author tweeted you?! you’re famous!!!
It is so hard to resist them since they are such good deals. It was so beautiful and such a happy find. I love getting “lost in my area. Haha! It was pretty cool! 🙂
I love the new dress and bag you bought!! So pretty!!! Can’t wait to see what the new curtains look like – Ikea is just always so great!! I love when authors and celebrities tweet you back – just makes you feel like queen for the day hehe!! Happy Monday and thanks for linking up!! xo
Thank you I am so excited to get them. The curtains are pretty plain linen, but it really lightens up the room. It was such a surprise but really cool. Happy Monday!
Love that waterfall. So serene!
Getting all of your cleaning done is a great
Accomplishment. And you do move around
When you clean! #winning!
Our lovely weekend capped off with our Sean
Scoring the winning goal in the national
Semi-final game last night. And Steph and Stephen
Were there, too!! Such a wonderful night!!
Have a happy week!
Love, Steph’s momma
Cleaning totally counts as cardio! 😉 I loved the video you posted on Instagram of his winning kick. Go Sean!!
I had a lazy weekend too…it was rainy and then cloudy on Saturday and I had planned to go to the beach. I parked myself on the couch instead 🙂 That navy dress you bought is so gorgeous!
-Sharon
Yeah, the weather didn’t cooperate for us either but the couch was a good alternative. 😉 I am so excited to get it, just hope the fabric is as nice as it looks.
I vote that we trade weekends. I need to do house stuff but I’m never home on the weekend to do it! And Seamus is adorable. I wanna squeeze him.
Haha! I couldn’t go back to waitressing, my feet can’t take it. Thank you, he has been sticking his tongue out lately and it melts my heart it’s so cute!
You discovered such a nice place–it looks peaceful! That dinner you made looked amazing…I love anything with fresh mozzarella.
It was so peaceful and not many people there, the sky was pretty clear too. I wasn’t too sure about the mozzarella but it was such a nice change from my normal feta addiction.
i did a whole lot of reading too; i love that i’m loving reading again.
those waterfalls look amazing! i wish i lived near falls like that.
Reading is the best! What books are you reading? It was sch a fun find. I have one by my house but I love finding them out and about.
Great pics. That blue dress is gorgeous!
Thank you. I was so in love I just had to buy it.
Love that blue dress!! And you got it for a great price! The salad looks delish too!
It was a steal. Hopefully it is as pretty in person as it is online. I may or may not have devoured it in an unladylike manner! 😉
I love that dress!!!! So cute!!!
The par you found looks like a great find! I love to sit and ponder at places like that!
Hope you have a great week!
I had to snatch it up as soon as I saw it. You should have seen me pulling a u-turn to go back to it! Comical! It was just so pretty though.
Super cute dress! I bought a zulily deals dress yesterday. Twins. LOL
I love that the author tweeted you!
Twinsies!! Haha! Zulily has some great stuff too. It was very cool, not sure how she found it either.
Look at your chubby little puppy! But it’s really good he lost a little weight! His face is squishable!
I love getting lost when I hike.. .And I’m trying to find areas I can do some trail running, where I won’t surely die… Some of our trails aren’t as cleared as they should be… and I’m afraid of breaking my neck. **SIGHS**
Started a new book myself.. and I’m excited to open it and just read it… Everyone keeps telling me I need a Kindle or a Nook.. but I love the feel of a real book in my fingers… I really REALLY do.
I think if I shaved him he would be the perfect weight! Haha! 😉 He is so squishable! Trail running is hard, I am always afraid of breaking something. I love real books but I love my Kindle too, it’s nice to have both options.
That dress!! That salad!! I LOVE! I also really love your perspective on life–your “i’m not in a rush, i’ll just sit here and enjoy this waterfall” view. I’m not expressing that correctly, but I hope you know what I mean. And yay for Seamus losing weight!! <3
Thank you. Yes, I know what you mean. As much as I like a schedule I also like to go with the flow and sometimes you just have to stop and enjoy the things around you.
OMG that salad… looks amazing! Relaxing weekends are the best. 😀
Thank you. They really are, and sometimes just needed. I was feeling a little off, so it was good to just rest.
So in love with that dress and bag! What an awesome find!
I couldn’t buy them fast enough! Got them for a steal too.
That waterfall is so pretty!! And so cool that you got a tweet from the author of that book you posted about! One of my favorite authors commented on one of my instagram photos once, and I nearly died haha! Also, good for Seamus for his 6 oz!
It was so pretty I had to stop. Doesn’t it make you feel like a rockstar!! Haha! He still needs to lose but we will take it. 😉
I love lazy weekend! That dress is fab!! And great bag!!
They are pretty nice! Thank you. I am so excited for when that mail day arrives! 🙂
Love that bag! So cute for the summer! And really, could your dog be any cuter?!?!
I have a huge anchor crush so it was perfect! I don’t think so, but he sure does try! 😉 Thank you.
Kerry, girl, you have the most beautiful scenery around you. I can’t get over it. Also, that purse, omg! SO FREAKING CUTE. And how cool is it that the author tweeted you. And that was the book that I thought looked most interesting! SCORE!
Thank you. It really is pretty in the most unlikely of places. A lot of farms too that I never knew about. It is one of the ones I really want to read and so cool of her.
Good job Seamus for losing weight!!
Yayy for an author tweet, that’s random and awesome.
I love the nautical bag and you got a great deal!
Those 5am wake-up calls are worth it. Well maybe not really but its helping! 😉 It was very nice of her, and so random. I am so in love with it, I have another anchor bag so it will complete the set!
Aren’t those the best kind of weekends? I love that dress and bag you picked up!
They really are, especially since next weekend is a vacation. It will help me freak out less that I will have a clean house to come home too. I am so excited to get them in the mail. Why can’t we have 24 hour service! Shesh! 😉
Looks like an awesome weekend though!
Did you see my new linkup yet? It’s online for the first time today and I would be happy to see your blog linked up as well!
Have a lovely day!
xoxo Anni
It was a great weekend. Thank you.
I LOVE lazy weekends- especially cuz I NEVER have time to clean the whole house. I really love that dress and the waterfall in the park is amazing. I wish that I could drive along and ‘find’ something like that in my area.
Super cool that the author tweeted you!
Right?! It never gets completely done when I have other things going on. I was so excited when I saw that dress I had to have it. That is the thing about purposely getting lost, you never know what you will find.
Ummm…how awesome is that tweet shout out you got from her?!? And way to go Seamus! He’ll have those lbs. off in no time…probably mostly furry any how 😉
It is so cool. I love when things like that happens! If I shaved him he would lose like 10 pounds!!! Haha!
That dress is too cute! Your weekend sounds like mine – relaxing and productive. I’m glad Seamus is on his way to the health he needs to be in. It can take time, but progress is always encouraging!
Thank you. Aren’t those the best?! The multiple walks are paying off. He needed it after such a long winter.
Go, Seamus! Get that beach body baybeeee! 😉
How cool that the author tweeted you!!!! 😀
He is strutting his stuff in the neighborhood. No shame in his game. 😉 Love that she tweeted me, so cool.
Super cute dress and bag! That park looks so neat and how cool the author tweeted you!
Thank you. I was a shopping machine but they were on sale!! 😉 It was such a nice surprise, but you are used to that kinda thing! Haha!
Woohoo Seamus!! I however need to lose 10-15 more. WOMP. I see a lot of salads in my future. That dress is so adorable too!!
Haha!! I am right there with you girlfriend. I am so excited to get it in the mail.
Oh man, that is SO COOL that the author tweeted to you!! I love that dress you bought!
It was so cool and unexpected. That dress is so pretty I am excited to get it in the mail.
That dress is super cute and I would have been so excited to happen upon that park! Love those waterfalls, I’ve been to some similar ones. Lazy weekends are the best sometimes 🙂
Thank you. I make such a quick turn around to see it. They really are very calming.
Lazy weekends for the win! And that dinner sure does look delish!
They make the best weekends! Sometimes you need them to recover.
Doesn’t seem that lazy to me! Great little find on your walk. And even better finds online 😉 I have such an addiction to online shopping lol it’s just so easy to click.
Thanks for linking up 🙂
Thank you. It is way to easy to shop when you can do it in your jammies!
That anchor bag! I need! Lol and that dress is sooooooo stinkin cute!!!! I wish I had saw that and snagged one!!
Isn’t it so cute! I can’t wait till it gets here. The dress comes in Mint too, and it is so cheap. It’s online and that is the regular price so snag one!
Your recipe posts always make me drool. I hope you took down where that park was too! It looks gorgeous!
I did, it was actually a straight shot from my house just on a road I don’t often travel.
