I have to say this was one of the better weekends I have had in awhile. I feel like I got a lot done, but I also had a lot of down time too. I would have loved more time to read but it was more than perfect. I didn’t want it to end.
Friday: After walking Seamus I headed out to Boston for the movie night. I met up with Kate, Emily and Jodi at the Boston Harbor Hotel. We got there early enough to enjoy some wine and a light dinner. The movie wasn’t supposed to start until at least 8pm so we decided to walk around and hit up another bar for a drink. So we ended up at the Granary Tavern. There was a pair of cousins that were keeping us entertained. We hit a local Pastry shop so the girls could grab some Cannoli’s. I was good and decided not to get anything. We never made it to the movie, but who hasn’t seen The Wizard of Oz before.

Saturday: I went grocery shopping pretty early morning which was a good thing since it wasn’t busy. Then a few errands to the library to pick up some new books, and Old Navy it was back home so I could hit the beach. After a few hours I headed home to walk Seamus and then relaxed for the night finishing my book, and catching up on emails.

How was your weekend?
Linking up with Leeann from Join the Gossip , Biana from B Loved Boston, and Rachel from The Rachel Way.

now that’s what i call a productive weekend! you got a lot accomplished!! loved hearing about your weekend.
It was busy and I really wish I had taken a nap on Sunday but it was a good weekend!
You had a productive weekend, for sure. I love when places show classic movies. A movie theater near me was showing Jaws last weekend…fun. They have a schedule for classics all summer. We were in CT and NY for the weekend, arriving home in time to watch the World Cup final. Busy, and looking forward to a quieter week this week. I have to finish my class before we leave next week. Have a wonderful week. 🙂
It was productive for sure. The esplanade is playing movies in the summer too. Good luck finishing you class. Hopefully this week is quiet so you can get it done.
Mmmm that steak looks delicious! I love hearing about your weekends because they are just perfect. A little bit of stuff and a little bit of alone time! Perfect!
It was a really great balance. The steak was perfect after all that working out. I couldn’t finish all of it though, it was huge! Only thing better would have been a nap.
What a great weekend. Congrats on the running, I’ve gotten terrible about not running while it’s stupid hot. I’m going to regret it come September.
Thank you. Yes, I went to the gym since it was too hot outside. I ended up moving the fan closer to me too. 😉
You definitely gave me the hiking bug!! Thanks again!
So glad you liked it. It is so nice being outdoors on a gorgeous day. You can come anytime.
sounds like a perfect weekend! i went for a run on saturday, cleaned the house top to bottom and relaxed on sunday. i also had 2 naps on the weekend, so i think =winning. haha! i love weekends where you get tons done and tons of down time too.
Ohhh I am jealous of your naps! That was totally needed but I didn’t get to take one. You totally win!
Such a fun weekend you had! I was drooling over that steak when you posted it on IG 🙂

It was so fun, and equally balanced. It was huge, I could only finish 3/4 of it, and that is after giving some to Seamus!
i love that you went hiking!! we had to miss our usual trail run but that was for a spa day so i feel no guilt about that 😀
I would take a spa day over hiking any day! Though hiking is always fun, just not spa day fun! 😉
Sounds like an awesome weekend! Always fun meeting up with other bloggers!
It was so fun, and I love that I have local bloggers to hang with now.
Haha, love that you had fun doing other things and just skipped the movie! I think I have that Tucker Max book on my kindle – was it good? Sounds like you had a super productive weekend!
Sometimes you just have to go with the flow. I haven’t read it yet, I just picked it up from the library. I’ll let you know though. It was a great weekend. We missed you and talked about you often! Get over to Boston already!!!
Looks like a great weekend! Friday sounds especially fun!
It was so much fun, and a good mix.
That was quite the busy weekend!! Sounds like it was a blast!! Happy Monday!!
Best, Mree
It was a blast. Thank you.
Ohhh that salad looks yummy!
Sounds like you had a great weekend! I love seeing other bloggers meeting up and having fun.
I love filling up on salad so the rest doesn’t get finished. It is nice to have met some local bloggers who are so cool and down to earth.
I love hiking with a friend, and Kate would probably be a really good buddy to go hiking with! I get caught up in talking and forget that I’m even exercising. 🙂 Good job on not having some cannoli…as you can see from my post, I didn’t have that much willpower, haha! Thanks for linking up with us!
She was a good buddy, and she kept up well for her first time hiking. Haha! It is tough not indulging but I knew I’d pay for it later. 😉 A little indulgence doesn’t hurt every now and again but I just got back from 2 vacations so I am trying to get back on track.
That meal pic looks DELECTABLE! OH MAN OH MAN!
Can you tell me about the POLAR thing you wear on your wrist, how exactly, does that work.. does it clock in your mileage too??? I AM CURIOUS!!!!
And my weekend was FILLED, but overall FUN!
I love the pictures you took of the city.. SO COOL!
Happy Monday!
Thank you it hit the spot after such a long workout. The Polar is a heart rate monitor so it tracks the calories burned and your target heart rate zone. It doesn’t track mileage though which is a little bit of a bummer. Though being able to see calories burned really gets me to push to hit a certain number.
Great job staying active. Your evening in Boston looked divine. You had a busy, but relaxing weekend.
We are in the humid soup here, so a lot of pool time and a nice lunch with Rich’s Aunt- 88 yrs old and his cousin
who is my age, on Saturday. The aunt has many entertaining stories to tell about the “old days”! Yesterday watched the World Cup Final- it went so fast!
Enjoy your week!!! Love. SMD’s momma
It was such a fun night. Haha! Love old stories from relatives, pool time is the best time. I don’t think I would leave the pool when it gets that humid. Hope you have a great week!
Banner weekend for you! Social, restful, active, productive. I love it!
It was everything and more. Capping it off with cheesy Hallmark movies was the perfect end! 😉
Looks like a fun/relaxing weekend, it’s nice when it balances out like that. A little fun and a little relaxation make the perfect weekend.
It was almost perfect, only a nap would have made it complete! 😉
You were productive! I totaly love a good marinated steak, and that one you grilled up looks delish!!
Thank you! It was so good, I thought I would burn it since I was mowing the lawn as it was cooking but it ended up just right.
I have the same polar fitness monitor!! So cool. Good going on the running! And steak looks perfect! Yum.
Isn’t it the best! Love being able to see how hard I worked. Thank you so much!
what a perfect, well rounded weekend! those pics are gorgeous!
Thank you. It was a perfect combination of busy and restful!
I love the grocery EARLY on Saturday, before everyone else is there! And that last food picture, omg… my lunch suddenly seems to unappealing lol!
Haha! Yes, I was able to speed right through. Normally I go on Sunday and it made a huge difference. That steak hit the spot ofter hiking and running. My legs were mush!
I love corn on salad, and your grilled burger looks amazing! I wish our apartment would let us have grills because I will grill out all our meals if I could.
The corn was so good. The steak was so tender, I was worried about burning it but it was just right. That is a bummer you can’t have a grill.
Ooo… I’m jealous that you had a cannoli! Those are one of my favorite deserts!
Kate and Jodi got them, I held strong. Vacation slimdown in full effect.
1. I love The Secret Keeper! You’ll have to let know know what you think of it.
2. It cracks me up that you never made it to the movie even though that’s why you went 🙂
The beginning is a little slow but hoping it picks up. I know it was a long wait and really expensive. Like my salad was $14-18 I can’t remember exactly. It was crazy.
I’m so jealous of those beautiful Boston views! So gorgeous!!
Thanks for linking up for MMG 🙂
It was such a beautiful night.
I was definitely drooling over that last picture on Instagram! Looks like a fabulous weekend!
Thank you. It hit the spot for sure after a hard workout.
Sounds like a perfect weekend; I love getting the right balance of fun and productivity like that!
It was perfect. I might nap all this weekend though! 😉
Those are my favorite ways to spend Sundays!! And I’m so jealous you got to meet Kate, what a fun weekend!!
Thanks for linking up! xo
It was a very fun weekend, a little bit of everything.
Kerry I so want to come up and visit you, I am DYING to go to Boston! It looks like a great weekend. I have started getting into reading more because I enjoy it so much. Did you ever read “The Happiness Project”?
It is so beautiful here. Forget about parking though, expensive! Haha! That book is on my list to read, I have heard good things about it.
So, your lunch looked delicious and I don’t know why but I’m just realizing now that you’re a Boston blogger too! I was in the city on Saturday night, the weather was gorgeous!
Thank you! Yes, I grew up on the South Shore and now live in the MetroWest but i am really trying to make more of an effort to go in town. The weather was gorgeous, trying to soak it all in while it lasts!
How the heck are you so stinkin’ productive?!?!
I don’t sleep much! Haha! Really though I plan in my head the most effective schedule to get the most done possible. It is a sickness really, don’t worry it’s not contagious! 😉
