For those of you who have Columbus day off I am really jealous. I would have loved a long weekend, but I am back to work. I got another project done and the hardware needed for the lantern project I’ll be finishing next weekend. I promise next weekend I am going to not leave the house except for grocery shopping. I do have a spare bedroom that needs to be cleaned….
But first, let’s see what I did this weekend.
Saturday: I headed to my Dad’s first thing in the morning to help him with his tablet settings. I was supposed to go apple picking with one of my best friends but it was pouring rain so we decided to just meet at her house to decide what to do. We decided that the Mall was a good bet and headed out. Her daughter got to run off some energy at the Pump n’ Jump while we got to talk and get caught up. We popped into a few more stores before calling it a day. A quick trip back to her place and an Elmo movie later and I headed back home. I stopped off at Lowe’s for some more supplies for a new project and ended up at home at 6pm, so I was in for the night. It was a Dirty Dancing on Netflix kinda night.

Oh, I wish I had today off too! I’m already back to work, and I’m definitely in zombie mode. I just want to crawl back into bed. It sounds like you had a productive weekend! Mine consisted of a lot of book shopping. Hah. 🙂
Kerry says
It does make for a long day. So many people are out today. I was so jealous of your book spree pics from IG. Good score.
Linda Sheridan says
That trifle looks wonderful. Good for you doing all of these crafty projects!
We had beautiful weather yesterday, just perfect.
It’s warming up a bit to the high 70’s the next few days. I love it.
Grateful for myself and all of my people to be safe and sound after a weekend of travel.
My chickens were all over the place!
Grateful for every big and little thing.
Have a happy, efficient week!
Love, SMD’s Momma

Sunday was a beautiful day. So glad you were able to get out and enjoy it. Hopefully the week is good to you.
Biana says
I seriously love productive weekends!! It just makes them so much better- I love your new DIY and can’t wait to see your next one – you are on a roll girl!! Next stop HGTV for your own show!! Hope your Monday goes by fast!!
Kerry says
I love feeling like I accomplished a lot though I need a weekend to crash. Thank you! I loved making them all. That would be pretty awesome! 🙂 Happy Monday!
Nichole says
MMM, I saw your butterscotch treat on IG, can’t wait for that recipe!
Kerry says
Thank you. I had my two samples and it will be hard not to have more today. Hehe.
Lauren says
I love that you can keep all your cute mugs on display! Since the Giants played like garbage, I got to watch TWD and so far it’s very promising so I’m excited!
Kerry says
Yes, and save space. It was such a good episode, I am so excited for this season!

That butterscotch thingamadoo looks soooo sinful…omg…I want. I love that I’m not the only one that has walked into the house and forgotten I had groceries in the car. I will say I’m usually distracted by an 8yo, a 4yo and a baby…
Kerry says
Thank you. It was so easy to put together too. Okay you have more of an excuse than I do!! So many to-do’s in my head at once.
Kelli says
Love the cup holder, it’s like art! Why hide all your awesome mugs in a cabinet?
Kerry says
It really is fun to have them on display! So many fun ones, and gifts from friends they need to be out in the open.
SMD @ Life According to Steph says
I love your mug storage solution! Sweet!
Kerry says
I finally have cabinet space again!! Haha!
Jana @ Jana Says says
The fact that you made it through an Elmo movie FOR A FRIEND’S CHILD makes me realize how awesome you are because Elmo is the worst.
I love that mug holder and if I drank coffee or hot tea, I’d totally try it! It seems doable even with my lack of DIY abilities.
Kerry says
Haha! I am glad I don’t have to watch it regularly like you parents do, that’s for sure. I mean I have yet to see Frozen! Gasp!
It is so easy because they cut the board to size for you, just stain and add the hooks.
Emily says
Those trifles look amazing! Can’t wait to read that recipe. What a cute mug holder project to put together. Love it!
Kerry says
Thank you. They were yummy and pretty easy. I am loving having some cabinet space back again. Totally mug addicted.

i have the day off but woke up at 3 and can’t go back to sleep. so i’m working on blog stuff, of course! 🙂
Kerry says
Oh no. Hopefully a napped is planned for later. Always blog stuff to catch up on! Don’t work to hard. 😉
Kate says
Love the mug board. I am impressed as always. I spent yesterday binge watching Gilmore Girls and didn’t leave my house once. Those days are definitely needed!
Kerry says
Thank you. I feel like i have to get them done before the cold and snow gets here. I really need a weekend like yours very soon, or I might be forced too from exhaustion.
Nadine says
That brownie truffle?! I dont know whether to hug you or slap you for the image of that. Holy yum!
And look at you DIY’ing it up again! Love the finished product!
Kerry says
Haha! I’ll take hugs, please! I don’t know what has gotten into me but I kinda love it.
Kristen says
um brownie butterscotch trifle?! YUM. that sounds amazing.
I have left groceries in the car before.. unfortunately, overnight. it was winter and the milk froze haha.
Kerry says
I was so glad it was gone because otherwise I would have devoured it. Oh no, at least the cold preserved it! Hehe.
Amanda Elizabeth says
I don’t have the day off but I totally wish I did!!! Um definitely can’t wait to see that recipe because it looks sooooo yummy!
Kerry says
It would have been nice to have one more day! Thank you so much!

Potlucks on Mondays are usually not good at my work because several people usually forget their item. I would love to work with you because your dish looks amazing! It looks like something we had at CPK on Saturday night.
Kerry says
One or two people did forget but overall it was a good turn out. Thank you, it disappeared pretty quickly.
Kelly Mock says
Love the coffee mug hooks…too cute!
Kerry says
Thank you. I really needed mug storage so I figured I better just make something.
Stacia says
That fog is beautiful! I love foggy walks! And your mug display is too cute. I should probably make one of those. I have WAY too many mugs!
Kerry says
It was so pretty as it was rises with the sun. It cleared up a LOT of room in my cupboards.
Amanda says
I wish I worked with you. Not because I love you but because I want one of those deserts. ;P
Kerry says
You don’t love me, you just love my chocolate-y goods. I feel so used!
Meghan @ Champagne & Suburbs says
Girl, I’m with you. I wish that I had the day off too! I love that DIY you did! Hope you had a great day! xoxo
Kerry says
Thank you. It would have been nice to have off, but it went quickly.
Leeann @ Join the Gossip says
Can you believe I’ve never seen Dirty Dancing? I just recently watched Footloose. I need to catch up on the classics lol.
I love the mug display but I bet if I did something so cute, as soon as I got them hung there’d be an earthquake haha!
Thanks for linking up for MMG 🙂
Kerry says
Say what?! You need to rectify that right now! Yes, you would need some heavy duty anchor screws for sure.
Alli says
LOVE the mug storage!! I might have to do that soon 🙂 I really want to set up a little beverage cart for morning beverages (in addition to a bar cart because, let’s be real, there will be way too much on the bar cart to fit tea, too!)
Kerry says
Haha!! Yes! Storage is such an issue for me so creating my own much needed. A bar cart and a beverage cart makes total sense to me.
