As I sit here trying to remember all I did this weekend I can barely remember it was that much of a whirlwind. My main goal was to get myself caught up on all things after being away on vacation and then almost immediately a work trip. It was also brutally hot both days so it was draining. So it wasn’t really glamourous but I did get a lot done.
Saturday morning I went into work for 4.5 hours. It was so nice not getting interrupted and being able to get caught up. I also have a game plan for training my second new trainee. I think he is going to be a rockstar, thankfully.
Once I got home I had some lunch and laid out in my zero gravity chair catching some rays and reading my book. I then headed to the local park to walk 5.5 miles.
Sunday was pretty relaxed. I went grocery shopping then did a UFC workout while putting a load of laundry in. Then I did meal prep and had lunch.

It was brutal, it is in the 90’s today. I am over it. I need a constant 70-75 to be happy. This is too much.
Awesome. I would love a walking partner. I can walk for days!! Great idea to go in Saturday to catch up.

It is always nice to walk with a friend. It was nice to catch up after being out of the office all week.
As much as going into work on the weekends sucks, it is also sooooooo nice! You’re right – without the interruptions you can get a lot more done. And obvs you can wear more comfy clothes, too – win!!!!!!!!

It was so productive!! True! Jeans and a Tee. It was a good walk, but I was a sweaty mess.
It was so hot this weekend!! Working on the weekends sucks. I know I worked all weekend. Haha..when I got out of work on Saturday, I had I idea it was gonna rain. It was so crazy. I wanted to run to target but the roads were just too bad and that lightening was crazy. I decide just to go home. Love all your new goodies. Yay for birthdays.

He always has it hanging out the side, I love it! Yes, I need that mix of rest and productivity because my weekdays are just not. I have loved them for awhile now and my bathroom is already themed with anchors so the bathmat was a perfect find!
Catch up weekends are so important! I’m glad you got one in and I hope your new trainee really helps your work load!

i don’t think i have ever seen almost famous in it’s entirety, i tried a few years ago but i don’t think it’s my jam (or maybe i just didn’t understand it lol). that weather looks crazy and kind of scary lol. go you for having such a productive weekend!
Oh man it is so good. A young kid trying to be a rock journalist follows an up and coming band around. The hijinks of sex, drugs and rock and roll. Maybe it is an american culture thing? I felt so productive and finally got my house in order.

Almost Famous is such a great movie! I haven’t watched it in forever and I had no idea it was on Netflix!
I know! It has been a few years for me but it was so good! I have it on DVD but checked Netflix and it was on there. Bonus!

Food prep looks good! I also do boiled eggs every Sunday for the week. Nice buys from Body Shop! I love their products.
They are so good and you can use them so many ways. I really wanted some candles from Bath and Body but the Body Shop is really good too.

Sounds like a great weekend – and YAY for early birthday shopping! We had a bad storm like that yesterday while I was trying to get home. The visibility with the rain and wind was almost nothing, and we were all creeping along the highway. No fun!
