So the plan for this weekend was to rest. What does that look like to me? It was supposed to include reading all weekend. In between reading I was hoping to take Seamus for walks, workout and watch some tv. Well let’s just say that I did most of that but I jam packed a bunch of other stuff into to, because let’s be real this is me we are talking about here.

So what did I get myself into this weekend?
Friday: The clock was ticking to finish two books in two days so I spent the majority of the night reading. The first one was Death, Taxes and Green Tea Ice Cream by Diane Kelly.
Saturday: I finished the first book and moved on to the second book. The Art of Falling by Kathryn Craft which was a really good book.
I baked a few cakes to practice for a birthday party. Took Seamus for a walk. He was enjoying the melting snow.
Then a few of my favorite movies came one so I was done reading for the night.
Legally Blonde is on now and the Family Stone is on next!! Guess I know what I am doing tonight besides making cake!
Sunday: It started off with making some bacon for breakfast, then turned into baking banana bread since I had some bananas that were about to go bad. Then making cookies for a Random Act of Kindness. I took a short break to go grocery shopping and take Seamus for a walk. I went to the library and the police station to drop off the cookies. Then I frosted the rest of the practice cake. It ended up being 7pm before I actually sat down.
The rest of the night was for blogging and watching the Waking Dead. Oh and then I got this little gem that reminds me why I am single. Seriously guys? Manners go a long way! This is not the first time I have gotten texts like this either but it was the most weird lately.

It was fun to dust off some old skills. It is always such a shock that guys think that is ok. Bravo has a new show that aired last night that blew my mind. Total creeps. I was so glad I was able to finish. i never like returning them before I finish.
I love when I can spend the weekend reading! There are few things that can beat that!

I saw your post on Steph’s site and I had to come over and comment. I have a Sheltie/Pomeranian too! Her name is Gracie and she is 13. She is absolutely the best dog ever, I mean it. She looks a little different that your Seamus because I get her groomed with a puppy cut. She is actually so cute that in 2012 we got to go on the View in their Mutt Show. I’m off to look for more pictures of your baby! 🙂

Yes!!! I couldn’t believe it either. Creep! It was so nice to get to rest for a bit. Watching those back to back was perfect. The Family Stone is one of my favorites.

I was in shock and thought it was a joke. Like maybe a friend stole his phone but he didn’t respond after and say otherwise. Craziness. I was under a deadline! Haha! It was nice to finish them though. I got out for some walks with Seamus so i got to enjoy the warmer weather a little bit but not nearly enough.

Cake, watching movies and reading?! Your weekend beat my weekend’s ass, girl! The highlight of my weekend was seeing Chelsea Handler live. If you haven’t read any of her books, they’re hilarious!
Ummmm Chelsea Handler for the win! She is amazing, and so funny! Her book is on my to-read list which happens to be at like 200+ right now! Haha!

Thank you. I love to bake, though once it gets warmer I am sure I will do it less. I was so enjoying being able to take Seamus for long walks, it was so nice out. Any response would have been better than that one. Haha! Somehow it all has to get done so I am not sure how others do it, but it is always utter chaos!!

That text is kind of awesome, in a terrible way! In some ways it’s better than the kind of guys who pretend to be decent human beings for the first few texts – at least you didn’t waste any time! Your weekend sounds awfully productive – my rest weekends generally don’t involve leaving a metre radius from my couch 😉
It is very honest, so it helped not waste my time which was good. I think I would have rather have not left my couch the whole weekend but then I feel guilty for not cleaning. I need to work on the whole relaxing thing.
