Hello Monday. I almost don’t mind you since I will work less at work than I did this weekend! It was hectic, and I barely sat down all weekend but I did get a lot done even if my to-do list is still half full. How do other people do it? I’ll try to spare you as much as I can but here is what my weekend looked like.
Friday: After work and walking Seamus I went to Lowe’s to get some supplies for a few new projects. I also stopped into Old Navy because I can’t help myself. I started my second book for the Winter Book Challenge.

Saturday: It was an early morning hustle with a quick breakfast before decluttering my spare bedroom closet. I ended up getting rid of two large trash bags for donation and one bag for my friends to go through. Then I vacuumed and febreezed my car, it was smelling like dog.
I also made use of some free samples I received from Gorilla Glue and fixed a fence post that was loose after I scrubbed the whole thing down. Their epoxy is amazing and I am not just saying that because it was free. I also raked the yard so I could make room for another wood project. It took me a few hours so I didn’t get to sit down till about 3pm so I used the rest of the night to clean and put away what I could. I finally sat down around 8 pm to some of my magazines that have been piling up.

It looks like you had a productive, but fun weekend. Your nieces are so precious. Lucky auntie! Love magazine catch-ups…add something warm to drink and a warm blanket and a soft sofa…perfection! Happy Monday.
It was very productive. I couldn’t stay away since she called to tell me she missed me. So precious. Very late Sunday was a blanket and hot tea kinda night. Perfect end to a hectic weekend.
as always you make the most of your weekends! i admire the food prep especially. i had company this week and then more this weekend, plus i had blog stuff to shoot, so it was busy!
I am for sure needed to have a go no where do nothing kinda weekend. Sounds like you had a busy weekend too. Hope you find some time to rest.
I hate when I have to double back to stores BUT my Target has no rotisseries ever so I’d love that.
Gorilla Glue is le bomb.
I thought I was getting it out of the way but Noooooo. Haha! The rotisserie was at the grocery store behind Target though that would be a great idea. Gorilla Glue is amazing, always works for whatever I need it to do.
Loks like you balanced the fun and the work perfectly this weekend! Very Rewarding! How cute are your nieces? Adorable!
And – paleo chocolate banana bread – OH YUM
It was very productive I’ll say. Thank you, they are such characters and so funny. I love spending time with them.
I was so happy with how these came out, I had another batch that was so dry. This one was light and really held in moisture, total win.
Girl you need a weekend from your weekend!! You’re such a busy bee!! I’m sure your friends are going to love going through some of that stuff to see what they can get!! Love that you spent some time with your nieces – making me miss my nieces!! Hope you have a great Monday!! xo
I really do. I miss those boring weekends where I don’t move and binge watch shows. I need one of those ASAP. They are just so high energy and full of spunk. Happy Monday!
hey, boring, relaxing + nieces sounds like the perfect weekend to me! chocolate banana bread? YUM.
Oh how I long for a boring weekend. Haha! The Banana bread was really good, hoping to share the recipe soon
I didn’t know that kind of glue existed so I might need to get some. A board of trim on the side of our house just… fell off. So weird. We kept it so I want to just glue it back!
You’re always so productive, you put the rest of us to shame! Did you watch The Walking Dead yet?
It is really good and so strong! Get it now!! I really wish I could hire someone to do it all. So tired. Of course, that is one show I have to watch live. So good! So glad Carol and Darryl got an episode.
Cranberry pear sauce? Mmmmm! Sounds delish!
I have a pile of magazines too! Like a HUGE pile! Books always seem to come first for me. I need to get on that stack.
Hope you have a great week!
Thanks! Yes, books always get top priority over magazines. I feel like magazines have so many commercials lately.
Chocolate banana bread sounds so good! I really need to get a bread pan…or at least a muffin pan.
It turned out really well considering the first batch was really dry. They could be make in a muffin pan easily.
Sounds like a good weekend to me, I love that your niece misses you! I be you’re an awesome Aunt!
It was really full of fun, and activity. It warmed my heart to hear her say she missed me.
You are on fire with the projects! Looks like such a fun weekend 🙂
I have done quite a few lately. I am sure they will slow down once Winter hits.
I loved those photos and video of your nieces on IG! You’re the best auntie ever!!
Aww thanks. They make it so easy. They are such balls of energy but also really laid back.
Your niece is so adorable. I love that she called to tell you she missed you. Oh how sweet! What fab auntie you are.
It broke my heart, but it was so sweet that she missed me. I couldn’t help but go see her.
haha I feel like my weekends are looking more like this too! LOVE gorilla glue. I just used it to glue the sole back onto my (cheap) boots I bought last year!
They get crazy especially this time of year. That is such a good way to use it, they really make such awesome products.
Productive but fun weekends are the way to go!
I need to find a use for Gorilla Glue because it’s basically the best product name ever.
I do like getting things done, but I really need a rest weekend. Heck yeah, you can use it on almost everything!
you are way braver than me! circular saws are no joke. i leave that shizz to my husband because knowing me and my non-DIY self, i’d probably cut my hand off!
I had to take a deep breath at the beginning in silent prayer not to cut a digit off.
I love reading.
Old Navy. Love that store. They are opening one nearby. It’ll be dangerous.
Having one too close is dangerous. Too easy to just pop in for a few items.
You are brave and handy! That saw, Jesus! I blew up Instragram from Thursday thru Sunday, so you know our wedding festivities were just wonderful. Grateful that I can just hang out and not be productive! Last week was wild between Sean’s soccer game in Rhode Island, getting home at 3AM and then all of the wedding fun! Today being so rainy and damp, I am just la-laing around. I am lucky!
Love that your niece called you. They grow up so quickly, enjoy every minute.
Have a beautiful week!
Love, SMD’s Momma
I was a little afraid of losing a finger. Haha! The wedding looked so beautiful and like you had a blast. Congrats on the new additional to your family. It was such a blah day just lounging around sounds like a little bit of heaven.
You sure know how to pack in a weekend. 😉 I can’t wait for the pear-cranberry sauce!!
Thank you. It really is a necessity and not a preference. I’d much rather curl up with a book. 😉
Can’t wait to see what the latest project is when it’s done!! Cleaning through and get rid of old stuff is always a good feeling! I donated about 5 large trash bags a couple weeks ago.
The last one was the wall art and the hanging lanterns. I may be on hiatus for awhile but we shall see. It is really nice to finally make room to actually tell what you have rather than it being jammed into the closet.
You and your projects put me to shame! TO SHAME i tell you. I cant hold a paint brush properly!
Haha! I am trying but I swear they are easier then they look.
I got some PJ pants from Old Navy… the website had 20-30% (can’t remember which) off your order AND free 2 day shipping… so I got 2 pairs of flannel bottoms for only $20! I held myself back from getting four, hahaha
I loved your videos of the girls this weekend… they are just so darn cute!
Girl they are so comfy and I can totally see living in them all Winter. They seriously melt my heart, they are just so sweet and funny.
Cranberry pear sauce sounds delicious! It looks like you had a busy weekend– spending time with family is always the best, your nieces are too cute!
I really liked how they worked together. It was crazy, but I loved taking time out to see them. They always make me laugh and smile.
Seriously, where do you get the energy to be so productive? LOL. It was cold and rainy here so I spent most of my weekend lounging around with Troy, which is okay since he did just have surgery. 🙂
Haha! I don’t know but if I don’t do it, no-one will so I trudge through. A weekend on the couch sounds fabulous. Hope his recovery is going well.
You are pretty much the DIY guru!!!! Your nieces are just way too cute.
Aww thanks girl. Some are prettier than others. They are the sweetest too.
