So this week I am bring you a Random Act of Kindness that is absolutely FREE!! Basically because this gal is on a budget! Also I want everyone to be able to participate and not everyone wants to spend money. This one is a great way to make someone feel better. Who doesn’t want to do that, besides the Grinch?
I placed these on mirrors at the local McDonald’s, Dunkin Donuts, and also on the desks of the people in my Department at work. I am keeping a few in my purse to pass out to anyone I see that could use a pick me up too! For a blank template of the Be The Change cards click here.
I mentioned last week a boy named Logan Pearsons who is an Autistic boy who is turning 12 on February 24th and is currently dealing with bullies. So a call to arms was put out to get some birthday cards sent his way so please let me know if you want to send him a card and I will give you his address. He is located in Massachusetts.
UPDATE: Here is more on Logan’s story.
Are you considering doing your own Act of Kindness? If not, what is stopping you? Grab a button if you would like to spread the word. The change that we seek in others has to first come from within. This year I hope you decide to Be the Change You Seek.

ugh, bullies make me sick. and what’s worse is that most of the time, parents DO NOTHING to stop that behavior and they think “oh, it’s just a phase, they’ll grow out of it”. no, it’s not you asshats – that kid will grow up to be an asshole that society has to deal with!
the size of your heart never fails to amaze and inspire me, kerry! xoxoox
It is really sad because sometimes it is the child taking out their anger or grief over something else entirely and you are right in that if it isn’t dealt with it can be an ongoing thing their whole life. I went through a rough patch when my parents divorced but luckily I had people to knock some sense into me.
Thank you so much! You inspire me to keep going! 😉
That is so sweet! I love seeing positive messages out in the world. You never know when you are brightening someone’s day!
So true! Sometimes people need to be reminded just how important and beautiful they are, we tend to not take the time most days.
Once again, this is amazing! I would love the address to send Lucas a card!
Thank you! He would love a card!
Love that this RAOK is free, but will still make someones day! Logan is from my hometown and I saw it on the news Monday night 🙁 while I’m glad bullying is becoming more of a talked about situation I wish no kid had to go through it
Yes, it can still brighten someone’s day! It is so sad and should not happen, but glad people are taking a stand!
So easy and FREE! I love it. I need to do this.
You should, it can totally brighten someone’s day!
You are so sweet to do that!! I’m sure it makes people smile more than you know – I smiled just reading this post!! I feel like the world we live in is so different than when we were kids – we dealt with bullying too, but certainly not to the degree that kids are dealing with it now!! I can only hope that we are on a cycle and by the time I have kids it will be back to how it was when we were kids! (did that make sense at all?!)
That is so awesome to hear! It has changed and I miss the way it was, but the only way we can back it to be the people we want others to be. Hopefully if enough people show by example it will spread. Hey if bell bottoms can come back I think good old fashioned values can too! 😉
I know I’ve said this before — but you’re one of the nicest people on this planet!!! You’re showing everyone that kindness doesn’t have to cost a dime. What counts is when it comes from the heart. Keep being sweet and inspiring. 🙂
Thank you!! Yes, just taking a few minutes out of your day to show someone else they matter is so important! I will do my best to always try! 😉
You continue to make me smile with your acts of kindness!
Then my work here is done! Just kidding I am not nearly done, but that was my purpose. Glad to make you smile girl! 🙂
Nice idea! I’ve actually seen one of these kind of notes on the back of a bathroom door once – made me smile so it did its job!
That is so awesome! It really is the little things!
wow! these are great! such great reminders!
Thank you! Sometimes we all just need a reminder!
I love this! I love that it was free, too. It’s hard to remember sometimes that making someone feel good doesn’t always have to cost money. My favorite “act of kindness” is paying for the person behind me in a drive thru–but that can get COSTLY! I like the little memo–definitely a way to brighten up a day!
Yes, I try to keep a budget every month for giving back but free is always good. Holding open a door, talking to someone who is sitting alone or just giving someone a compliment can be just as powerful!
Godspeed to you! Kindness is free and easy and best to send kindness to those who are negative.
Lights and angels and love sent to all who are bullied and to the bullies to stop!!!
Love, SMD Steph’s momma
Thank you so much and yes though who are negative need it most! No one should ever be bullied and it really needs to stop. Thank you so much Steph’s Momma! You have one amazing daughter!
You are very inspirational! What a wonderful way to make someone smile
Thank you so much! It really doesn’t take much to make someone’s day! 🙂
I’ve been wanting to do this for the longest time!!!!
Get it done girl! It is the best feeling in the world!
love seeing your updates on how it’s going with RAK! so proud of you!
Thank you. It has been fun doing them!
Such a good idea! It is so important to remember that we are all beautiful and unique in our own ways and that beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. 🙂
Yes, and it is always great to be reminded.
I love those notes! What a great idea. I’d love to see the reaction of someone as they saw that note!
I did get to see one person react and it was so amazing. The smile that crossed her face and the awe was incredible.
This is so sweet! I’ll definitely be printing up some notes!
xx Kait
Thank you! It can really make someone’s day!
