As you may or may not know I am not a fan of Turkey. My poor day unknowingly ruined it for me when I was 12 and basically all meat on the bone. I did attempt to eat it last year but really the ham was better. What I do love though is the cranberry sauce. We normally have gotten the cranberry sauce in the can, and while I still really like it for some reason I feel like I should expand my taste buds for something a little more decadent. While the taste is decadent this recipe is really fairly easy.

Directions: In a medium saucepan boil the water, cinnamon and honey until the honey is dissolved. Rinse the cranberries then add to the pan with the diced pear.

I served over some rotisserie chicken and I can see it paired with lots of dishes. I like most about this recipe is that it uses real ingredients. It is easy but packs a lot of flavor and will be perfect in a sandwich with any of those leftovers.

What is your favorite Thanksgiving dish?
- 2 TBSP Honey ~ ½ TSP Ground Cinnamon ~ 1 cup Water ~ 1 pear - diced ~ 12 oz of Fresh Cranberries ~ ¼ cup Truvia (or sugar)
- In a medium saucepan boil the water, cinnamon and honey until the honey is dissolved.
- Rinse the cranberries then add to the pan with the diced pear.
- Bring back to a boil and then reduce to a simmer for 10 minutes, stirring periodically so you don't scorch it. You will hear the cranberries popping open.
- Remove from heat and then mash lightly with a fork, add the truvia a little at a time to taste.
- Let the sauce cool in the fridge, it will start to thicken the longer it sits. I did try it warm though and it was just as good.
